I want good in game audio. The audio in RCT3 was such a joke (RCT2 had more realistic sounds!!). The chainlifts, screams, and the rides in general sounded so cartoonish and bad. I want the chainlifts to sound accurate based on the coaster type, and i want the coasters to sound like they actually do! (Learn from your competition and outdo them). Throw in a variety of screams. In the gameplay video the RCTW staff said they wanted the rides to look realistic but still have a childish twist to it. Are the realistic rides not good enough for a young gamer? I don't see how a swing ride wouldn't look appealing to a kid, why the hell do you need to add a dumb looking comet on top of it? It looks ridiculous.

I cannot wait for the announcement! The animations always give you a great idea of what the ride will look like from different areas of the park. I am also eager to see things such as: the station, entrance plaza, and things of that nature. -

Gosh i hope not! I was really dissapointed with the camelback on Gatekeeper (i would rather there be a loop, i really enjoyed the one on Wild Eagle!) It sounds totally realistic though, but even if there is no airtime i think i would still rather prefer a camelback to a splashdown even though it is not as visually appealing. Hmmm, complaining about a hill that isnt very forceful on a ride that's designed to be not very forceful. You lost me here. I'm pretty sure every coaster exerts forces on its riders. Gatekeeper obviously has plenty of forces, but the speed over the camelback doesen't exert enough forces for me. -

Yeah, B&M's have plenty of airtime. Diamondback SheiKra Nitro Griffon Apollo's Chariot Raging Bull Just to name a few. Most B&M hyper coasters are airtime machines. -

Maybe the Sandusky Register is not 100% correct?? Maybe the "leaked" layout... Is not the real layout?? Just because I am curious... Why would you want there to NOT be a splashdown?? The splashdowns are unique, and make the coaster look even more beautiful. Just think of how beautiful Diamondback looks when going through it's splashdown. This I do agree with!!! I'm glad to finally see people coming around and accepting the fact that Dive Machines do not suck, and they are not bad coasters!! I think this is going to be a great fit for the park!! Yes, I am fully aware the Sandusky Register could be wrong. (Even though im pretty sure the memo for Gatekeeper was really, really accurate) I am also aware the leak could be false (why i put "if it is legit"). I was just bringing up something cool that is totally possible and because im a nerd and its just speculation. The reason i am glad there is no splashdown, is because without one it leaves more room for a more exciting element that meets my personal preference. Don't get me wrong i like splashdowns, they are great for theming and look very visually appealing. I rode SheiKra and i thought it was cool, however i wish they gave you a little splash like a log flume instead of you not being able to see the splash and it just slowing the train down. (I want to get a little wet!! Yes, i know alot of people don't wan't to get wet and when they do they make the decision to ride a water ride or go to Soak City) Look at Valravn's leaked layout, imagine a splash down in the place of that camelback. A splash down is a piece of straight track with a body of water, the only part of the train that hits the water is the scoops on the train which work as slight brakes. Would you rather have a camel back with airtime or a piece of straight track that probably costs more? (Ditch, water, scoops, drains, upkeep of water, etc.) I do like the splashdown on Diamondback though, because there is a lot to the ride before it and it looks great in that area! However, dive machines are short so i would rather have an exciting element than a piece of straight track unless you are already planning on spending top dollar on theming. This is just based off my personal preference, but when i rode SheiKra the splashdown did nothing for me but the rest of the ride was still enough to break into my top ten steel coasters. Yes, Dive coasters are kick @$$ based off my experience of only one of them. I feel like alot of people that have been complaining about them have never ridden one so they don't comprehend how such a short coaster could be that fun, but it is VERY fun. Camelback with airtime >>> splashdown -

I read the old Sandusky Register memo earlier, one thing that stuck out to me was that it said it would have four inversions. The leaked layout (if it is legit) only has three, which makes me wonder if another design was originally considered or the camel back was originally supposed to be a zero g roll or something. If so, im glad they went with the air time (if it travels through the hill fast enough) A loop wouldn't have been bad either, im also glad it looks like there will be no splashdown. This ride is going to kick serious @$$. It is really going to look good in the park. That immelman is going to tower over the midway! -

Check out the terms of service/rules that are posted at the top of the board please. 9. Spelling and Grammar - bad spelling and grammar will NOT be tolerated! Theme Park Review's forum includes a spell checker and there is a great one available with Google's Toolbar. If we have to edit too many of your posts, you may be suspended from the forum. Text Message shorthand or "l77t" speak is not allowed. A typo here and there is acceptable, but illegible posts are not. You're posts have been nothing but walls of text and you only do yourself a disservice when posting like that, because everyone in the world hates walls of text that have no attempt at spacing in them. Even I suck at spelling and grammar honestly but saying you don't care about how you write and how you come off across while doing so just proves that no one should really bother viewing your postings. All of this said, I'm not going to bother anymore either. If you want to see my lack of replying directly to you as a victory, go for it. Meanwhile I'll likely be going back to the park soon and I am once again glad the ride op's of roar let the last public train do 3 laps around roar before it "closed for good". I'll be sure to bring my camera if anything major has been done and can get a good viewing angle on it. I understand those rules, but i really do not think those punishments apply to people that you can understand IMO. I can understand high school kids that talk like idiots (lolz, omgzz!! And huge mistakes in general) but i don't think im going to be banned for small errors like that. Its funny how when people run out of points to bring up or things to say they automatically resort to grammar. "Yeah you brought up a good point, but i don't really have anything interesting to say anymore so im going to point out you put theyre instead of they're on a amuesment park forum...i win!!!" If you can't back up that if a style of a coaster "isn't neccesary" (still doesn't make much sense to me tbh) then just do me a favor and don't reply.

To add to this I will say the same thing I said in the Dollywood thread. It is not needed, not necessary, and I assure you most people probably would not even care. RMC Coasters are all about the elements, and the airtime... Not a "gimmick" like floorless coaster trains. Well ill add this, that was just an idea, and most of all just an opinion. Even though i recognize this is just your opinion, and it doesen't matter if "most people don't care" its simply just another kind of ride experience which catches attention, right? If its not "needed, not neccesary" (that sounds totally stupid btw) than im sure its the case for every ride, correct? Than that would mean the B&M wing coaster was not needed and not neccesary, wouldnt it? People don't design different styles of coasters cause it is "needed and neccesary" its done because its a different ride experience. Who the hell are you to say its "not needed and necessary" in the first place? What gave you that idea? The same designer of RMC designed the 4D coaster(was it not neccesary?) The word "gimmick" is so dumb please stop. Floorless trains arent a "gimmick" its a coaster with a different ride experience which gives you the sensation of having the track under you. Just people say the stand up was a "gimmick" not just a coaster designed for the sensation of standing on a coaster lmao. Im sure if the idea of floorless trains sounds good in Alan Schilke's head and he wants to add them onto a coaster "only meant for elements and airtime" to make a whole nother ride experience im sure the words"needed and necessary" arent going to stop him. Just like if B&M wanted to add winged cars onto a coaster made for "only inversions and smoothness" to add a flying sensation they... OH WAIT!! The person didn't say gimmicks aren't nice, but they are right in saying it's not necessary either. Looking up the definition of the word "gimmick" with google it says "a trick or device intended to attract attention, publicity, or business." Well floorless coasters are a type of device with the drop away floors and what not. You said you realized this is just the person's opinion, but from my point of view you just wanted to lambaste the person under the guise of defending various types of coasters that have come before. It's not like Alan from RMC is going to come on TPR, read one post and decide " oh poo-poo. One person on the internet doesn't like the idea we at RMC had, better not do it now." Ok. Welll ummmm. So a floorless coaster fits under the definition of "gimmick" you found because it has mechanical floors? That was used to draw publicity? Have you ever thought it was just used so people could step over the track safely so the new ride experience would work? And what does TPR have to do with this? You think he has to read a forum to come up with a floorless train? How is that relevant? Nothing "isn't neccesary" people come up with ideas and do it if they like it. This guy literally is so against something that is just an idea that he felt the need to go against it on two threads. Just because something isn't probable doesen't mean its not possible. Just because you can't imagine it happening doesen't mean it won't. If that's all your taking from my comment or his and deciding to get hostile over it, you're totally missing the point. PS *Necessary* and *Doesn't*. Chrome and firefox have built in spellchecks on Desktop and smartphones should naturally have them built in now. First off, this is a forum. If i need to get my point across fast on a mobile phone, and i know you will still be able to understand it, I do not care about my spelling or grammar in this situation. This is a debate and if you can't decipher things like; putting cant instead of can't, doesnt instead of doesn't, Necessary instead of neccesary (i wonder what dat means derp) (things of that nature) then there is something wrong. If i was in English composition, or a professional work place, or i was talking to you in person i would bring out the good grammar. However, this is not English class and i am not being graded. I only brought up a simple thing that would be fun to imagine and talk about, and somebody replied with there opinion and i argued it because IMO it was a close minded opinion.

Hey, planning on being at the park October 9-12th , does the park still function regularly during Halloweekends? My dad said he saw something that seemed like only a handful of attractions would be open which didn't sound accurate especially since we have been to Carowinds for Halloweekends and all the rides were running. -

Considering that RMC's trains have leg restraints, designing floorless trains would also mean redesigning the restraints and seats, which then elevates the height of the train on the track (limiting the clearance of head-choppers), plus there would need to be a floor mechanism in the station... Just seems kinda pointless to me, but I guess you never know with RMC. EDIT: Whoops, I quoted the wrong post, but I guess this just applies to the discussion in general. So its pointless because you have to redesign the train, find new restraints, and add floor mechanisms? That is not a hassle. If any company is innovative enough and has track sustainable for floorless trains its RMC. The only thing that has to happen is the idea popping up in Alan Schilke's head and it will happen if he puts his mind to it. If he designed a launched RMC, RMCs with insane elements and inversions on TWO styles of track, what makes you think he can't design a floorless trains? Hell, The same track is used for Batman The Ride and its a 4D flipping coaster (designed by ALAN SCHILKE) take your favorite RMC and imagine it with floorless trains (f'ing masterpiece right?) RMC could re-invent the suspended coaster if they wanted to. EDIT: could you imagine it? IRON NINJA, EXTRA IRON DRAGON lmao

Imagine if RMC added floorless trains in the future, not saying it is probable, but it surely isn't impossible. I think it would make the ride experience ten times better, and keep in mind the use of OTSRs is not needed IMO (restraints on Rip Rocket) this is just an idea but i would sh!t my pants if RMC ever made floorless trains for a ride. Thank god, something exciting. If vertical construction starts before the announcement i'll be just as happy for the time being. EDIT: I saw pages ago of people talking about how Cedar Point "will probably" go with a flyer next cause its the only B&M left they don't have, and they were essentially complaining about it. This is just a convo starter but would you really be pissed if something like this was built years from now? OFCOURSE id rather have a RMC next whether its Mean Streak or from the ground up, but i couldn't complain about a flyer.
