Tell me, did you write the New York Times Best Seller "How to Confuse The General Public With Idiotic Pronunciations Which Completely Deviate From the Already Established Bird/Raven Theme"? What? Is this a joke? Valravn is pronounced VAL-RAHN (or VAL-RON) in danish. Just because Valravn has the word "ravn" which looks like "raven" and basically means that, doesen't mean it is pronounced as so. Valravn has two syllables, val-rav-en or val-rov-en is extra word play. So IMO when the coaster is announced and a dude in the video says "introducing Valravn (val-rahn)" or some shit it will be a hell of alot easier for the GP to pronounce from there on out....BUT at the end of the day nobody cares what the coaster is called or how its pronnounced, just enthusiasts like me

Cedar Point is not going to change the name. The situation is over and there is nothing anybody can do about it now. Same exact situation at SFOG, getting in a restricted area is like being in a cage with a wild animal, you need to WATCH where the train is at all times if you decide to make such a life threatening decision. I feel for the guy life is precious, but that mistake will cost ya. Amuesment parks have these rules set for a reason.

What??? I seriously in all my time spend at Cedar Point and working around coaster nerds don't think I've ever heard anyone say anything bad about Raptor! And the only things said bad about Maverick was resolved this year with the new restraints. I really don't think there is a 50/50 split of people loving/hating Maverick & Raptor. That data doesn't even seem close to be accurate. To add to this, the only people I've ever heard say anything *bad* about Maverick or Raptor are enthusiasts saying they're "poorly engineered pieces of crap." Maybe a very small percentage of the general public don't really appreciate them, but I've never heard someone at Cedar Point say they're bad rides. Most of the complaints aren't anything most of us would consider a problem but a significant amount of the GP think of those to rides as to intense and violent. I know a lot of people who refuse to ride them because they are "Rough and painful" So do 50% of the people you know really hate Raptor and Maverick, or is this your way of saying you don't like them without sounding like you are just scared of the rides? This just sounds ridiculous IMO

I think it will, its going to bring people over near Bluestreak, and its going to tower over the midway, the roll/turn element is going to look sweet across from Iron Dragon (especially if a tunnel is added?) Its a Dive coaster i just don't get how the third tallest coaster in the park will not stand out. (IMO)

What's so impressive to you, just curious Well, first off i have riden SheiKra, so i know the unique experience of a dive machine (or atleast one), i know that this layout is interesting to me, and impressive to me, and i also know SheiKra was impressive and forceful for me. Another thing i know is that all of this was my opinion, and it shouldn't matter to you at all, just like your anti-B&M opinions are really ignorant and annoying in my opinion, but yet again it is just your opinion and it does not matter what so ever. So to clarify: in comparison to the layout with SheiKra, this looks like it will be a better experience than SheiKra to me because it will be faster and maybe even more forceful. It will also be very visually appealing in the park, on the ride, and in the skyline....TO ME.

I love this layout. Considering the coasters B&M have built lately have seemed uninspired and not really focused on ride experience (my opinion) , This is really impressive.

Really stupid question So if: Hyper = 200-299ft Giga = 300-399ft Strata = 400+ or whatever Doesen't this make "Valravn" a diving hyper coaster and not a 500ft RMC Aquatrax Diver with keyholes through frontier town??

I dunno...I actually think SheiKra is a pretty good ride from start to end. I rode SheiKra and i remember it being one of my favorite coasters up to this day, great ride and a unique awesome experience. The ride is really smooth and i think it has great forces.

After seeing the color of the track, I believe the dive coaster is going to be called Centurion, and a new darkride will be Valravn (If it comes out to actually be Cedar Point's) "Valravn is described as a peaceless soul in search of redemption that flies by night (but never day)"

What if Cedar Point is just tearing down Mantis for a brand new upgraded floorless? i mean people beg for a Mantis conversion every year couldn't they just be granting everyones wish with a even better upgrade with an even better kick ass layout? Banshee was a state of the art invert with new trains and such couldnt they just get a new state of the art floorless with upgrades like that?

Could the reaper and "darkness falls" mean a retheme to a spooky setting since they couldn't do so with the banshee name? That would be cool.

Could you imagine what CP could do if they were to take Mantis and Iron Dragon out, and with that landscape? I can only dream...
