^ Lucky! Hopefully I can go in October again. We got a tax refund from both Federal and State. Not a whole lot, but it's better than paying! Eric

Too bad Kristen couldn't have waited an extra 11 days...what an awesome birthday gift that would have been! (I came 11 days before my mom's, too!) Hope your day was happy! Eric

Photo TR: The Johnson's California Coasters Conquest
ebl replied to Erik Johnson's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
"I've heard rumors of them adding a second park in the US." (WillMontu) I've heard that they're looking at Kansas City of all places. Nice TR, Erik. Hope you and Leanne had a nice visit to California. Eric -
I didn't attend the Bash, but I would like to thank Chris and Natalee for everything they've done for us. Putting on such an event is hard work, and we're grateful to both of you. And Robb and Elissa deserve many kudoes for putting on the TPR party after the Bash. That, too, is a lot of work. The food and entertainment were great, and it was nice to meet Russell and Janice (Elissa's parents). And, of course, Kristen. Eric

Goliath at SFMM last Sunday, March 4, with Diana, in the afternoon, somewhere in the middle of the train. Eric -
^ Once I deciphered your post, I realized what you said. Perilous Plunge isn't exactly a "family" ride, whereas Tidal Wave is. I'm all for a Hurricane Harbor expansion into where Flashback now is, and I've wondered if that park could expand into the area within Colossus, being that it's pretty much wasted space. Understandably, exposed slides may not work, but some good enclosed ones could, theoretically, wind their way through there without any interference with the operation of Colossus and/or Goliath. ^^ That brings to mind a question: I wonder how many inquiries coaster manufacturers get from people wanting parts as collectibles or souvenirs? It's a pretty scary thought, really. Eric

Actually, I am kinda hungry. Have you ever stuck any body parts together with Super Glue?

Burrito for breakfast today, and right now I'm doing laundry, but once Diana gets ready, we'll be out of the house and on our way to lunch and Barnes and Noble so she can get a book for a school project to work on while I go to my casino job out in Moorpark tonight. Eric

Train watching. Since I live about 100 feet from a busy Union Pacific track, I see 'em all---Amtrak, Metrolink, freight. I have a spot all staked out in my back yard where I can look over the fence and get a front row seat. Sometimes, the trains run just late enough to where I can see three Amtrak trains and a Metrolink one within a half hour. There's a siding where, say, the one Amtrak train will wait for the Metrolink train to go by, then have to back onto the main line and proceed down to the station. If trains bore you, then this isn't for you. But I like 'em! Eric

^ You'll be 18 in a few years. There are 49 other states to live in. Choose one and go there. Eric
