Vertical lift is ready for track. The lift top is already on site ready to be lift into place. Towerstimes forum. It's quite odd not seeing the box structure. -

Looks like a great entrance to a park. Surely unique this way and a great sight. Can't wait for the Onrides and Offrides of this ride. -

(source found on the Forum of Towerstimes.) They reached the top of the Vertical support. An other weird looking support for the ride. -

Vertical lift structure is being placed. But it's not like the normal Eurofighter support: Source Towerstimes facebook. I don't quite understand why they didn't finish the first drop first. -

Impressive train designs. I must say I'm really impressed by how far you can theme a Mack mega coaster train, good work. -

Towersstreet facebook shows us that the motor of the vertical lift is in the trench. Working hard there. Also track has arrived late today, so I guess that there is a chance of some vertical construction tomorrow on the First drop (let's hope for updates). Normally I'm no fan of spreading rumors myself, but I heard a rumor that the ride opens May 18th what is about 5 and a half weeks from now. Does that sound possible with this state of the construction? I have no fears that the track work and Marmaliser aren't done then. But with testing and all that? -

Got two theming pictures from Towersstreet facebook page. Giggler gets his bottles. Love the Smiler logo detail on them. Also work on the theming of the Station, or just call it some yellow pipes: -

Okay note to self: Go to Alton Towers (after may), ride the Smiler, Buy a dry T-shirt and change shirt. I think it won't be much water, if it's actually true. I do Agree on the Merlin part. Knowing Merlin that this is really not just for show, it will have some effects that will involve the riders. -

I don't want to ruin your fun but it's called the Marmaliser not the Marmoliser. They have added the syringe's to the Inoculator today. Looks awesome if you ask me: (Towersstreet facebook) -

A lot of people believe that the 5 arms aren't there just for the show. It seems to me logical that the Tickler's brushes and Hypnotiser's disks will be spinning. For the other 3 arms, The flasher is easy to do with the exact idea, the Giggler I believe is just a smokescreen, and I read a lot of times people think that the Inoculator sprays water on the riders. How much of this is true I honestly can't tell. But it looks better to me if the Marmaliser has some action on it ,then just a big piece of steel in the middle of the ride. -

I shall tell you the story of the Smiler and the Ministry of Joy as I've been told. 50 years ago the ministry of Joy was busy in the sanctuary experimenting on Humans. The government forced them to stop or to close and the second happened. Last year they opened their doors after 50 years and invited people over to see what happened the in the past. But it seems they had a far sinister plan up their sleeves. The ministry of Joy is already experimenting op humans again to force a smile on them to force the world to be happy. The Smiler is there new weapon in happinesses, by not using the coaster it self but the Marmaliser to marmalise you to be happy. (I have no idea why they call it like that) The ride will there for not only be a physical experience but a psychology as well. They now invite you to this live chancing experience with the Smiler. The Marmaliser 5 arms will change you. The Flasher is to disorientate the passengers. The Giggler blows a gas that is as effective as laughing gas. The Hypnotiser will hypnotize the riders so they only think about happy things. The Inoculator holds a goo that will effect you in many ways. The Tickler will enforce laughing at you on the most common way This is the background story of how I know it. -

Construction is going hard lately today the 4th arm of the Marmaliser goes up. It's not really clear which one the 4th is at the moment, but looking at the Picture the place it seems it going too, it is the inoculator. Also the antenna of the Marmaliser is on site. (both from Towersstreet facebook) Just came across this one showing it was indeed the Inoculator: (Picture Roodlesnouter from Towerstimes) This makes the Hypnotiser the only missing arm. An update, The arm is now on its place and the Antenna is in the air: (Towerstimes) -

Also the second airtime hill is completed, so we'll be able to see the other 2 arms come up very soon. -

^^ I took the opportunity to bring back the picture of the trains: Source: Alton Towers. They look to be more in the middle to the front of the chassis. I hope that solves the problem with the trains. -

I got a Lift hill update. Some of the track has arrived and something rather curious is about it. Chains and motor are at the parking lot. Top of the vertical lift. This is rather odd, no Anti-rollback. We see some trims and a magnet, will it have anything to do with the world first feature? All pictures are from Towersstreets facebook page. What do you think about the missing anti-rollback? -

Have an other Trip report for you guys. I've been to Toverland Yesterday as my first park of 2013. (Toke some time) The weather is really a mood killer at this time of the year, it even affected my day. My first coaster of 2013. Not entirely planned but the other 2 where in a area that opened 2 hours later then this one so not much of a choice. Still a lot of construction on the Rapid that opens later this year. The Bobkart Woudrace is a really fun ride. Taken before the ride opened. Now the Booster Bike and Troy are open and I've done them both. But I saw this sign at the entrance of the new coaster 'd Wervelwind. Some pictures taken in the new area of the park. Didn't look like it would be spinning anytime soon. The Water show "Katara" wasn't filled with any water due to construction work. New restaurant in the park. Time for some pictures from the exit of Booster Bike. Yes you see it good those are big plates of Ice. Looking at the new rapid station. From the side: Some more of Troy: Later in the day I noticed how well the park threats there guest. The new coaster that was closed due weather issues was able to open later on the day so I took a sprint when I saw them testing. Station. Trains. Staircase to the station. Final shot of the day is from Djengu River: For a first time visit to this small park I wasn't let down. The employees are friendly and helpful as one went far to get me a park plan when I asked her at the end of the day. The park has some great rides and I enjoyed all of them, a park worthy of a second visit later. That's it for this time.

^ Not really just on the top of the hill. On the point you going to dive into the Batwing you are already of the trims. So Now we have the Tickler, Flasher and Giggler arm all placed. When I compare it to the ride it self the Marmaliser doesn't look massive big, but compare it to the workers and it does look very big makes me only looking forward to see it in real-life. -

Towerssstreet revealed the third arm is going to be the Tickler. My guess is that this will remain the last arm until they made the dive loop and final airtime hill. (Towersstreet) -
