  1. I last weighed myself on 7/24, and continued to be stuck on the same plateau from June (177.6 lbs). . that, coupled with that we were SUPPOSED to be on vacation to Carowinds to ride roller-coasters from 7/25-7/29, put me in a bad place (since of course the trip got cancelled due to Covid. and it turns out Carowinds never even is opening in 2020 ) so yeah, wheels came off the cart, cart went into a ditch, flipped over a few times, and then exploded. . . started eating terrible - as if I were on vacation - and not exercising. I'm talking a lot of Chinese Food takeout. Luckily, after a couple of days of that, I got back on plan, and for the last week or so been back to my 1:20 walks & trying to eat healthy-ish again. so I waited until today to weigh, since we're gonna be having Biscuits and Gravy for dinner - so wanted to get the weigh in before that. Coulda been way worse! I'm still under my stretch goal, and actually *FINALLY* down ~1/2 lb from where I was stuck on that plateau. yeah, if I think that I could have maybe actually gotten to 175 if I hadn't gone off plan? that makes me a bit sad, but at least back under control again. And a neighbor stopped me on the way back from getting the mail yesterday and hollered across the street "dang, you look thinner than I've ever seen you!" So that was nice. anyways . . so here's the latest update: 2/18: 218 lbs 2/28: 209.4 lbs 3/6: 206.4 lbs 3/11: 205.2 lbs 3/18: 201.6 lbs 3/25: 198.8 lbs 4/01: 196.2 lbs 4/08: 192.8 lbs 4/18: 189.0 lbs 4/24: 188.0 lbs 5/07: 185.0 lbs 5/15: 183.4 lbs 5/22: 180.6 lbs between 5/22-6/12, I hovered between a low of 179.6 lbs & high of 180.2 lbs. 6/19: 177.6 lbs 7/3 : 177.6 lbs 7/15: 177.6 lbs 7/24: 177.6 lbs 8/06: 177.2 lbs (so total loss of ~41.5 lbs total). would love to get off those last 2 lbs and be at a nice, even 175lbs tho. . we shall see. At least got past the plateau, even if only by ~1/2 a lb.
  2. ^ good job sticking with is. slow and steady
  3. so glad you made it to CP, and are having a great time, Kim. Ride Cedar Downs for me!
  4. so that includes the animal exhibits too. great plan to get part of the park open!
  5. ^ Nice pic, and congrats again!
  6. thanks a lot, Bill. .. . since I see you commenting in the CP thread and immediately think of Rougarou after the last few pages? THIS is what I have stuck in my head now
  7. I love Intamin, but the computer animation in these is leaving me a bit . . cold ? but I look forward to someone getting Hot Racer concept, or the Giga Splash - that towering waterfall would be a *stunning* feature in any park. so eager to see what comes of these concepts, and hopefully some will get built.
  8. Superman Krypton Coaster (SFFT) is an amazing B&M Floorless - but then again, that was designed as a floorless, not converted from a stand up. Yeah. .I did NOT care for Rougarou either time I rode it (during two separate trips). never was there when it was Mantis! (and purposely skipped Shockwave at KD, even tho it had been announced it was going to be leaving before our trip, I just couldn't do it. . and I also skipped the stand up at Carowinds.. . and, I always used to skip Batman at Astroworld). So I guess I too, just don't really care for stand-up coasters. tho I'll say the best two I ever have been on were Georgia Scorcher (SFOG) - which I skip every time I go anyways - and the stand up at Yomiuriland (which is the same track that's either Stand-up or Sit Down. I found the Stand up version way better, even if the restraints are uncomfortable. not that I would go to that ride in the park, when/if I get to go back to Japan (not when there's the cup o noodles rapids ride in the same park!). back to CP tho. . . .I love Gemini. . . but really the only coasters I don't really bother with in the park would be: Corkscrew, Rougarou, and Blue Streak (I only rode SV that one time, and I wasn't in 100% great shape, so would have to try it again, before deciding if I love it or it's skippable)
  9. aren't they? I was so upset with myself for only buying one - when I set them up and it didn't look "right" luckily, I was able to find fairly cheap back in November. . . the prices now seem to be in the $60-$70's range! (I think because most of the ones that were for sale when we were there, "retired" - or at least have moved to new packaging for 2020. . I see an AMAZING Chip & Dale (and egg) Easter Magnet. . that I might end up paying way too much for and ordering online: Pudding. Vanilla pudding. Great little collection of TOMICA you picked up, there. thanks.. . I have the "1st Visit" one you gifted me too!. . but since I didn't buy that on the trip, I didn't include. but that's part of my collection too as to the Fuji-Q .. . . treat: I'm surprised they are vanilla, since they seem to have a sauce packet - so I figured they probably were flavorless, like tofu.
  10. it's look at some of the diecast vehicle/ride-vehicle collectibles I got. this is the 2019 Halloween special diecast vehicle (kept this one to display in the box) and this the 2019 Halloween Tokyo Disney Complex Bus special diecast vehicle (kept this one in the box too). but Dumbo vehicle got opened! OMG. .he's so adorable. .and hangs out on my desk at home. . . often rolling as I type (the wheels are very sensitive) and being a huge Haunted Mansion fan. . of COURSE I had to pick up the Doom Buggies. that come 2 per set. the ghosts, glow.. the buggies "rotate" on the wheels.. and they even open up for loading! I was kicking myself for only buying one, since it just didn't look "right" with only two doom buggies. but then I found someone selling them on Ebay for only a few bucks more than I had paid in Disney, and snatched up another box. there.. . MUCH better. WELCOME, FOOLISH MORTALS.
  11. yeah, if not mistaken, the tins were ~$11 American. and several of them (like the "old timey" one) were just too beautiful to pass up. I MADE room in my luggage to get them home
  12. good call on the mask rules adjustment. and really glad that Meridia was a skilled enough rider that she wasn't hurt from that balloon snafu.
  13. some incredible pics, Andy. (as usual!) thanks so much for sharing! It has been a wonderful use of my afternoon
  14. I agree with very little of what you've posted in the past several weeks. but I agree with this 100% I rode Twisted Timbers ONCE. . and absolutely hated it (I'm just not a fan of ejector air). I even elected not to ride it, and was "bag holder" for the group while they went on evening ERT back in 2018.
  15. let's update with some pics of the famous TDL/TDS Chocolate Crunch! after hearing about Chocolate Crunch from Robb for many years (via his posts here at TPR), I was dying to try it. . but I was afraid if I did, I'd way over buy it. So I was determined not to open up any tins until well after I got home. What I wasn't expecting was how cool the Tins would be - not just the Halloween themed ones, but some standard ones. . so still ended up buying way too much! luckily, tho once I got into it, I loved it. . I'm not a big "sweets" eater, so they have lasted to this day, and there's still a tin yet opened! also including pics of a "treat" from Fuji-Q that I'll never open. (it's probably is disgusting, but couldn't pass up that packaging!) OMG. . look how amazing this tin is! here's the other side of it, but of course, I bought two, so I can display both sides on the counter! the flavors in these tins are Milk & Royal Milk Tea here's a Halloween Themed Tin and the other side of that one Even the top of it is beautiful flavors in this were "white tea" and Royal Milk Chocolate" ok.. time to get into this sucker.. let's see what this "chocolate crunch" is hmm. . .they are not at all what I was expecting. they are 1/2 dome shaped. and each flavor comes in it's own bag, and within that bag, they are individually wrapped. and here is the one "treat" I bought at Fuji-Q - if I'm not mistaken, from the exit gift shop at Takabisha. I took one look at it and knew - "oh, I have to buy this and bring it home" the "pink female" on the packaging is one of the Fuji-Q mascots when you open the box, here's the inside packaging that keeps the treat in place - "pudding/flan/jelly" ?? (not actually sure what kind of treat it is). but. . OH MY. . . the top unsnaps to reveal the treats under plastic for your to enjoy. oh, Japan! I cannot wait to go back! here's what they look like if you were to try one of each flavor. for size comparison. how to describe them. . . they kind of taste as if you crossed a Nestlee Crunch bar with the consistency of a Kit Kat (tho they don't taste like a Kit Kat). they are super sweet, regardless of what flavor I tried. they are VERY addictive tho.
  16. it could fit on the footprint of the Crypt (assuming thats where it's going)
  17. it also depends what kind of program they are running with the flips. Six Flags tends to run very mild programs (with Batman at SFFT being the exception - tho I suspect it's because that was the 1st one, so the "mild" setting there likely still flips more). but another chain COULD run a much more extreme program - for example, Arashi at Nagashima Spaland was NUTS. . .so much flipping. let's hope KD goes the more extreme route
  18. While haven't been updating as frequently, I have still been weighing every week or two. I continue to be stuck on the same plateau from June, but I guess I should be happy that I'm maintaining. Seriously - exact same weight for 4 weigh ins in a row! I even had my spouse get on the scale to make sure the digital readout wasn't broken (but he weighed different, so yeah, I just happen to be right at this weight no matter what I do (or don't) eat, and how much I walk). Oh well. . as I noted the other week, I'm below my Stretch Goal weight of 180 lbs, so I guess I need to be happy that I'm maintaining. anyways . . so here's the latest update: 2/18: 218 lbs 2/28: 209.4 lbs 3/6: 206.4 lbs 3/11: 205.2 lbs 3/18: 201.6 lbs 3/25: 198.8 lbs 4/01: 196.2 lbs 4/08: 192.8 lbs 4/18: 189.0 lbs 4/24: 188.0 lbs 5/07: 185.0 lbs 5/15: 183.4 lbs 5/22: 180.6 lbs between 5/22-6/12, I hovered between a low of 179.6 lbs & high of 180.2 lbs. 6/19: 177.6 lbs 7/3 : 177.6 lbs 7/15: 177.6 lbs (exactly the same loss of 41 lbs total). would love to get off those last 2 1/2 lbs and be at a nice, even 175lbs. . but again, I guess happy I'm maintaining even when I cheat with frozen custard, or lots of casseroles. so I guess, still, yay me.
  19. he was really, really nice. I met him years ago at Dragon*con, and he was very cool. ..(actually got to hang out with Adam, but briefly met Grant too).
  20. it's been so long since I was there. . but I recall the Batcave being the exit, and you entered the ride via the "Gotham Park" area but honestly, that coaster was so painful, I rarely rode it. . any other ride in the park? could describe with my eyes closed - I practically grew up in the park. But not a lot of help with this one. here's a shot from Wiki: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/0/06/Batman_the_Escape.jpg/1024px-Batman_the_Escape.jpg
  21. as Mike says. . REALLY painful. and that last dip, that's hidden in the tunnel? will ABSOLUTELY F-up your back, if you do not have the seat belt tight. (you slam up then down into the seat, right on your tailbone)
  22. no question, my favorite is the "Mysterious Island" section of Tokyo DisneySea. it's completely hidden from the rest of the park, by being enclosed inside of Mount Prometheus. (see pics attached) tho to be honest, almost all of TDS has stellar theming - it's a gorgeous park. as to your 2nd question? I'd try a re-do of Hard Rock Park - with themed areas to different eras and/or bands.
  23. Breast isn't a bad word.
