  1. yes, adding my thanks as well. not only a fantastic job, but gave me something to look forward to every day. it was very much enjoyed by me
  2. I wonder if anyone can guess what video I chose for the very last April video? Ooooo. .I hope it's your Backyard "snow-coaster!"
  3. LOVE it. . "Tyfoon" looks like it's built in someone's front yard!
  4. probably because much of Central Texas is still under severe drought conditions? (so conserve water where you don't need it -- ie: not in log ride, or Roaring Rapids) just a guess tho.
  5. being Cruise virgins, we went ahead and booked the suggested Excursion "package". . that bundled 4 of the Excursions offered together. I'm wary of stuff like this (the "suggested" things). . but they all SOUNDED like things we would like, even if all were rated as "mild". . . LOL. . I'll bet we're gonna be on tours with a *bunch* of elderly folks. not quite sure how the Excursions work, but I guess they'll tell us on the boat, since they all seem to start less than 30 minutes after we dock in places.
  6. um. . ."average"? no. way above. (not that it matters, as it's really what's inside that counts. . . . but no way you are "average". try adding "above" before that. . . . you look "above average". . . . ok, yeah, that works. I feel like we're playing the Dating game!. . . we should get you on "Baggage". . .LOVE that show
  7. ^^ whoah. . TONS of airtime! I could feel my butt lifting just watching it from home
  8. ^^ Congrats! ya'll should have rolled around in the dirt in celebration of Earth Day
  9. man. .tough day for music. Richie Havens has passed as well http://www.jambase.com/Articles/118431/Richie-Havens-Dies-at-Age-72 a true pioneer and one of the most recognizable voices in Folk Rock.
  10. I was coming here to post this. all I can say is "damn it" one of my favorite lead singers ever. . raspy, unique vocal sound, and a just an all around beautiful person (even if not a "beauty" in the general sense) tho I always heard her referred to as "Christina". . so very odd to see all the news reporting her as "Chrissy" way, way to young to be gone
  11. huh. Tranan LOOKs like it would be more exciting than it actually seems to be (at least from the POV). reminds me of when XLR8 opened at Astroworld. . from looking at it, it looked like it was going to be *amazing*. .but just ended up being kinda pleasant (at least until they flipped 1/2 the cars to go backwards. . that *did* make it exciting). odd coaster tho. bet it was fun in person.
  12. it moves fast! unlike a fart. .which would linger. but wow. . pretty speedy for a kiddie coaster!
  13. it's "wood" in support only. the track is steel. and if you're in the park, DO NOT miss Shockwave, don't miss Titan, or Runaway Mountain (indoor coaster), or Runaway Minetrain. actually, pretty much all the coasters at SFoT are good, except for maybe "Big Spin".. .
  14. It's honestly a pretty good one. And the fact that it has the newer Vekoma restraints really help. so it's basically "Canyon Blaster" with out the CircusCircus puke-pink aura?
  15. you're only 20. plenty of time
  16. that is a vomit machine.. but I laughed when y'all were like "why is it going so sloooooow?"
  17. in the AP story, they reiterate the closings were voluntary, and state Matterhorn is back up and running. but DL Spokeswoman Suzi Brown says "it's unclear how long the other two rides will remain closed" here's a link to the AP story: http://www.rr.com/news/topic/article/rr/55255105/84055388/Space_Mountain_closed_as_Disney_reviews_safety ANAHEIM, Calif. (AP) — Three rides at Disneyland, including the famous Space Mountain roller coaster, were temporarily closed over the weekend as the company reviewed its employee safety protocols after citations from state regulators. The citations were received Friday from the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health, according to Disneyland Resorts spokeswoman Suzi Brown. The closures Saturday of Space Mountain, the Matterhorn Bobsleds and Soarin' Over California were voluntary and were made out of an abundance of caution, Brown said Sunday. "We constantly strive to maintain a safe work environment for our cast members and contractors — and we are reviewing certain protocols," she said. The citations were related to an incident in November when a contracted worker was injured while performing maintenance on the exterior of the Space Mountain attraction. Disneyland failed to adequately correct "known fall hazards" that existed on the exterior of Space Mountain, according to a description of the citation on the Cal/OSHA website. "Furthermore, Disneyland Resort failed to have approved anchorages or approved tie-backs for contract employees to attach to when performing scheduled exterior building maintenance," the description reads. The Matterhorn reopened Sunday. Brown said Sunday it is unclear how long the other two rides will remain closed. Space Mountain and the Matterhorn Bobsleds are at Disneyland. Soarin' Over California, a simulated hang-glider flight, is at Disney California Adventure. Officials with Cal/OSHA did not immediately reply Sunday to a request for comment.
  18. Frank Bank has passed as well He was best known for playing "Lumpy" on "Leave it to Beaver" http://www.nydailynews.com/entertainment/tv-movies/frank-bank-leave-beaver-lumpy-rutherford-dies-71-article-1.1316359 (that's Lumpy, Eddie Haskill, and Wally)
  19. Wodan looks spectacular. as someone else said, Europa Park is absolutely on my bucketlist of places to go before I die. My only issue with the coaster, is that I wish it didn't interact so much with the rides around it, as it would be much more successfully themed if it didn't go under (or over) the other rides. but hey, I get space is a concern, and regardless of that, it looks amazing. so yeah. . nice POV today!
  20. stop.. Grim Reaper, please just stop RIP Chi Cheng (bassist for the Deftones) He hasn't been with the band for a while, but this still made me sad. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/04/14/chi-cheng-dead-dies_n_3080110.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular RIP man, you will be missed.
  21. That's so funny.. we're doing a Celebrity (Alaska) cruise in about a month too.. and my Partner keeps pointing out how much cheaper Carnival would have been. . . LOL
  22. hey, *I* commented only on the visual content (tho I did go back and Edit to Add a comment about the shakiness. . but I'd still rather watch your stuff than some of the the other videos online) --> and yeah, I do get that you were speaking in general terms, and not to anyone specifically. . but if I get to post again, and improve my chances of winning a coveted TPR BoC, then so be it! hehe
  23. I say "Good". . tho I really am not a fan of the "fish-eye" effect. but overall, I'm not that much of a stickler (I buy both Blu-Ray and "standard" DVDs, and really don't notice THAT much difference on them. . although our Blu player does tend to upconvert. . so maybe that's why?). but overall. . yah, looks good. ETA: While miles ahead of some "other" coaster videos you can find online, in re-watching it. . yeah, it's way shakier than your usual videos. Less shaky than other vids I've seen from other people, but your videos are almost always smooth and pleasing to watch. This one?. . . a bit shakier than usual.
  24. adorable. .it's like a mini-me Cyclone.
  25. "Ozone" -- Ace Frehley (KISS Solo Album)
