  1. This looks really cool. I'm a bit surprised that Disney has yet to bring this ride system to the states. Maybe when Disney brings a Marvel attraction to the West coast, this could be a fitting ride system for an Avengers ride.
  2. I can't wait for this event! I'll be going on the 5th. I'll also be spending the days at IoA the day before and studios during the day on the fifth.
  3. Now that would be an awesome WCB, although I do miss the old days like Robb said when SFMM had the whole park open for us for ERT. But I feel, especially after this years, that we need to move on and go to a better park. I like the idea of KBF and USH. We can always do Castle Park for WCB. ERT on Fireball and Ghost Blasters!!!!! I kind of like the idea of doing Uni as the second park for WCB as opposed to SFMM. But WCB will still be awesome wherever it leads.
  4. Speaking of Wascal's, those donuts were good! Can I say the unfathomable and say that those donuts were almost as good as Krispy Kream's?
  5. Well, WCB is over and I enjoyed the absolute heck out of it. I got to meet some awesome new people, experience the best ERT, have really cool BHS tours, got diabetes from boysendberry pie at TPR Quest, got saved from pooping dinosaurs, and got a Perilous Plunge poster nobody seems to care about. WCB reminds me of why I love TPR. Thank you Robb and Elissa for putting on an awesome event. I don't think I will ever yell "YOLO!" That many times ever again.
  6. WEST COAST BASH TOMORROW! I'll be at Denny's at Valencia at 6AM if anyone wants to meet up. Just look for the guy wearing a mustache and a blue Full Throttle shirt...not the ride but the energy drink.
  7. SFGA is being a little greedy here, aren't they? First you have the world's tallest coast, and now you have the world's tallest drop ride? C'mon New Jersey, leave us with something.
  8. Haha! I'm actually all for this! I'm probably one of the few people who actually misses Hammerhead! It's better than Riptide if you ask me! Count me in as someone who also misses Hammerhead. I absolutely loved that ride. I hate Riptide.
  9. Whatever happens to Windseeker, especially if it gets torn down, I'm glad they didn't tear down the Sky Cabin only to have this happen.
  10. I was thinking the same thing! The GP can be pretty stupid at times. I'll take it any day over Klownz again. HHN this years sounds like it will be really good. I'm hearing several rumors that the last codename (Pumpkin, for those following the Twitter) is going to be El Cucuy: The Mexican Boogieman.
  11. There was one where I went on this GIANT carnival dark ride with the facade that had a HUGE facade. I went in there and as soon as the car went through the doors, it launched and went through lava caves and weird storage containers. My car spun backwards and I could see the Haunt overlord in another car slowly gaining on me. He jumped out of his car and then I woke up. Needless to say, that was a pretty epic dream.
  12. Man, more problems with Rockit? The last time I went to UO was Fall 2010 for HHN and that ride was closed from that problem they were the restraints. If it's still closed when I go there the first week of October, then it will be official that I have a Rockit curse. The ride hates me and doesn't want me to ride it.
  13. I've been lurking on the FB page and a certain other HHN fansite, and I'm in awe of how much complaining is going on regarding the Walking Dead. They're making state, ents like "The event is a mere shadow of what it once was.Where did the creativity go?" and "Your getting lazy universal, same pony two years in a row". Isn't it a pit unwarranted to complain about the event before you've gone? It's like Jew said. I enjoy the original content very much so, but there's only so many ideas you can toss around. I'm looking forward to seeing Cabin in the Woods and, if the rumors are true, Resident Evil and American Werewolf in London. These people can complain all I want, but I'm going to go to have fun and enjoy myself...isn't that the whole point of the event?
  14. Catapult was sent to the scrap yard. Never coming back. They could've sent to Magic Mountain...though that would be a further scrap yard.
  15. I know that's what Uni did for Transformers and probably what Disney will do for the rumored Monsters Inc. Door Coaster. Isn't there another piece of the building behind the round structure that isn't round? Couldn't they build off of that?
  16. Just hope and pray that WCB doesn't happen to fall on Brazilian Coaster day. We wouldn't be able to have Q & A because there would be screaming people in neon yellow shirts blocking the theater. I found Robb's trip report to DHS, the other day, very interesting as you can tell. LOL
  17. I have a question: I deposited $250 for the Texas/Midwest trip and bowed out of it; I kept it on the table for West Coast Bash. How do I use it for purchasing the tix?
  18. Knott's put on a really great event in there. I think this will be Haunt's best year yet, judging by the line-up. It's great to see all of the lackluster mazes go by the wayside to make room for new ones that all sound like they'll be great. I noticed that this year will feature two "firsts" for Knott's for the first time in MANY years. 1) There's no 3D mazes, which I find refreshing. They were getting tiring and it's good to see them go from 2 1/2 to zero. 2) This is the first time I've seen Knott's run a maze for only one year (Dominion, but I'm not counting Trapped). I'm really excited for this year and am glad to see Haunt become awesome again. BTW, it was nice to see you both last night, David and Spears. @Jew: The thing is, being "old-fashioned" with HHN rapidly gaining popularity would knott (Hehe) make them appealing for the GP or even the haunt fans. I appreciate the fact that they are going more towards a darker and aggressive approach which I feel they should move towards. My first year for Haunt was 2009 and since I've attended (Post-40th), I've noticed the monsters not caring for their roles and not getting into them. Unfortunately, I feel like this is a necessary evil since the monsters I have encountered (Especially from 2011) have abused their freedom to just be lazy and break character; there were a few good ones, but most of the monsters I have encountered just didn't care. Though others may disagree, I welcome this direction.
  19. Most people that work in the industry have zero business sense as well. Ha! Can't say I disagree with that! As for Iron Colossus, high five would be nice. Don't forget the backwards ride with fog, smell effects and monsters.
  20. I think Iger is doing a fantastic job when it comes to the parks as well. He's putting the parks into a really good direction. I'm hearing complaints from certain Disney sites that all he cares about is turning the parks into a "marketing mall" and synergy by pushing all of the Disney characters...stuff that makes a business successful. Iger really has proven to be a worthy CEO for the company, and I say keep up the good work! I'm excited about Star Wars and Marvel coming to the parks, whether or not we get announcements at D23. And Regarding D23, can't the fans wait until the expo ends until they start complaining about the lack of announcements? It's at least over a month before it even begins!
  21. While in line for Revolution at SFMM, some guy in front of me had clearly not been on very many roller coasters. He kept mentioning how much he was scared to go on this ride and wondered if he would die (He looked like he was either a sophomore or junior in HS). I decided to pull his leg and tel him that 50 died on this ride earlier today because the loop caused too much stress on their brains. He believed me and started telling his friends what I said out of concern. I told him I was kidding afterwards and told him how he's 10x more likely to die driving the car on the freeway than to die on a coaster.
  22. I was at the park today and noticed that they finally put a station cover on FuII ThrottIe. It's a very thin canvas, but it's better than nothing. I also noticed the big three (X2, Tatsu, and FuII Throttle) closed as well. Not really the best time to visit the park.
  23. ^American Werewolf in London is rumored for this year, so I think that may be the main comedy house. I'm looking forward to seeing this house as I loved the movie and plan a trip to Orlando just to see this event.
  24. How is that humanly possible to transform from a tilt coaster?
  25. I kinda don't want to see another major coaster at Knott's. As much as I want a Giga over here on the West Coast, Knott's is not the park for that sort of ride. I could see a new dark ride going over there. Here's a wild idea: How about retheming Fiesta Village to a Berry Farm theme? They could bring back Knott's Bear-y Tales over there and put it where Jaguar is. Then we could have TWO dark rides in the park.
