Only slightly, only slightly... Would you cry if a wooden coaster were to burn down?
-
^ That would fix the noise, but unless they can get sand to travel upward through layers of paint and metal, they would have to drill holes in the track, making it rougher. And wouldn't the exessive hole drilling weaken the support structure? It's usually done before the coaster is built, and I don't think its ordinary sand they use, either. Your idea is good, but there are too many downsides, and it isn't a cheap process.

Didn't I hear somewhere that Flashback is getting new trains? Or were they already replaced and still bad? Or not replaced at all? It should be relocated if it is causing problems. It seems to just sit taking up space that can be used for better causes. If Bolliger and Mabillard designed it, they should continue the idea in B&M, it doesn't look that bad. And the picture in the post two posts up looks ancient, not that the coaster's changed between when it was taken and now, but just in my opinion. Of course I haven't ridden it, but I'm basing this on feedback and photos.

Photo TR: Wildwood in Winter (GNE painting)
MattJackson replied to FlyerACE1's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Ha, I've been there only 4 or 5 times in my whole life, but now I have to go back just to see if the new paint job made a difference to the feeling. I doubt it, though. -
Ok, yes, I got it and it doesn't need further discussion. ^ Haha, I think you made your point, and I agree with you up to where you want to retheme S:ROS. Six Flags doesn't have many major theming options and the Marvel theme (if that's what it is) seems to be the best choice.
-
Oh it was painted gray? It looked like it was still the metallic color. Afterall, most unpainted metel is gray.
-
^ Haha, Medusa really does need a new paint job. Is there a reason Kumba's rails aren't painted? Is it just with the theming and appearance? I thought B&M allowed the rails on their coasters to be painted starting in 1999. Maybe I read the wrong websites.

What is the worst Theme Park in the world?
MattJackson replied to martinb's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Morey's Piers. There's nothing there, other than an SLC, a boomerang, a less-than-average woodie, and a bunch of mediocre thrill rides. The beach gets filthy at times. -

Best Six Flags Park
MattJackson replied to MSLSM's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Not sure what you mean by this. SFMW has animals as well. I looked at the website and I saw it, and I edited it out of my post before anyone else can have a heart attack over it. -
Best Six Flags Park
MattJackson replied to MSLSM's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I voted for SFGAd because it has pretty good rides, IMO, and Nitro is the best hyper-coaster in a Six Flags Park, again, IMO, depending on how the Goliaths at SFLR and SFOG turn out. It has well themed areas, and the only animal park at a Six Flags park, which is pretty good. The setting is perfect, because it doesn't get too hot or too cold during operating season. The landscape is great because it doesn't get you too tired too quickly. Things in the park are relatively easy to find, though the lines get long during peak season. And, its my home park !! -
^ Probably doesn't know what he said. < Doesn't use pounds V phone-one, idiot-diot, shamrock-amrock ^ this you like a lot, if you can figure it out
