  1. 22 degrees and icy covered grounds. Not what I like or am use to.
  2. Very nice to see. I myself have gotten my hands on some nice disney items in the past. I always also collect brochures every time I go.
  3. OKAY! for that quote you get a cookie! with 305 in red icing letters.
  4. ^ Not referring at all. I mean as a general over lay to the giant scheme of things. Aka I mean park fan boys thats in general as a spectrum not singled out ones. Like for instance Pufferfish and I's local park is Carowinds. Sure we love it but we aren't fan boys. I prefer Dollywood as it is.
  5. I have no idea this thread is such a comedic version of how it started though. I seriously laugh when ever a park gets a ride. All the fan boys crawl of of the wood work. They defend against every single comment against the park like a civil war just broke out.Honestly its hilarious . You say "there are far to many trash cans" and they launch back with a scud missile "your park has the same amount minus ONE!" . A great ride is announced and we all either hear the praise or bashing or whining!. When its whining, we hear it for a long couple months then the fan boys automatically shut up after they realize the ride is great. OR in far more cases I see this happen. Park announces ride, fan boys cheer its praise..then we come to find "mediocre" reviews after the ride opens. I find it far too comedic. Its like when SFGADV opened Kingda ka...so many people ranted and raved "OMG best coaster ever" just cause they took the height record by a mere size of a house or less. Then a year passes and we don't hear its praise anymore, we hear more people talk of Top thrill Dragster. I like this ride and reserve judgment. The one thing I won't do before riding it is say "Oh my god...that turns gonna be amazing" I mean seriously it looks quality. To me though its as good as any other new ride. This one though is like that of a Mega-Lite on steroids. I also must say I do not mean to offend anybody with the message I posted here. Honestly to me though Fan boys and their local parks are just like Mcdonald's and fatty greasy crap loaded burgers , "I'm lovin it!"
  6. I epicly face palmed at that retarded farce of a commercial fakery!
  7. Its the anti-roll back units. Having worked 3 B&M's I know the sound very well. It tends to mostly happen on aging B&M's such as Afterburn. I noted it alot on Nitro,Goliath, and Apollo's chariot over the hill tops. I mean they are spring loaded so they would naturally bounce. Coaster Porn for some people in action. The springs pop back every so often or in say Afterburns case after it disengages the lift on occasion you hear a loud "CLACK!", its called giving the anti roll back a little play room. Listen to a B&M Disengage the lift hills..you'll hear it quite nicely RIGHT as the last cars go over the lift. In listening to the Medusa video you can hear 7 distinct "clacks" out of the 8 cars which means 1 did not have the "loose" issue. Its called Gravity can tug them any time its not a question of "why so long to level out?" Its more a fact such as the elements all pulling on the different ride parts due to forces. As I keep giving instances. Afterburn you hear it in the Zero G roll and the batwing. Goliath you hear it on every single hill top mostly the smaller ones. Nitro every hill top. Apollo every hill top. As said its a fact "depending on proper forces" or loose springs.
  8. So basically your afraid because of The Final Destination to me thats like fear of taking a crap on a plane , thats got an internal system and septic unit so peoples for on planes is irrational. My major question for you though, is WHY...may I ask WHY be afraid of holes in swiss cheese? Sorry about laughing but just because they aren't the same shape or size?
  9. Personally I find this park going through the ages to be awesome. I enjoy every update as its written and the screen shots are perfect for the given rides.
  10. I'm not sure if I have any fears par-say but I can back up 1 rationally claimed fear here "clowns". Who wouldn't be afraid of an old man dressed in flamboyant colors, who likes to play with children and make things out of rubber phallic objects? Plus their laughs can be pretty creepy!
  11. Personally though it gave a classic touch to Six Flags Great Adventure. I would have to say Rotting Lumber aka Rolling Thunder. That thing in the last few years of my rides hurt me worse than Viper did. Considering I can ride Viper 46 times solo not getting off. I have a high pain tolerance threshold.
  12. Speaking of Pax, has anyone seen the crazy "inverted" coaster concept they came out with? Look at the inversion set-up on this freaking thing. Image was found on Coasters&more and a google search.
  13. Every thing I read about this makes more and more sense each time. I got my money ready.
  14. He "could" have said WOF and Prowler.
  15. - Favorite new coaster- El Toro GADV. - Favorite new ride/coaster- Kawisami. - Favorite new ride- Watching Intimidater be built. - Favorite new park- Hard Ro...I mean FreeStyle Music Park. - Most memorable park moment- TPR Deep South Carowinds - Most memorable coaster moment- Riding Hurler at Carowinds with its new trim break and LOVING IT. - Best ERT session- Viper GADV SOLO 46 rides. - Your favorite TPR moment (favorite post, trip report, video, whatever!) This would have to be ANY Japan/Asia video TPR has introduced because of how wacky everyone can be and the culture. - The decade's biggest flop- Can I PLEASE Say Turbulence at Hershey park? - The decade's biggest success- To me I guess I'd have to say this would be the introduction of the new B&M Hyper trains. That or the new B&M Dive Coasters. - The best meal you've had at a park- Cinnamon bread , Dollywood Need I speak more? - The worst meal you've had at a park- Johny Rockets..SF parks this place SUCKS. - Best park turnaround- Freestyle Music park. - Worst park turnaround- Well Seeing the new six flags management yes there were subtle improvements but It still felt like the same old six flags. Pricing etc still sucks, and they OVER USE LCD screens in the park for crappy advertising. My biggest WTF is more of why in the blue ball'd heck do you need to pay that much to get into a park and you see more kids playing WII/Xbox or using the parks Wifi than on the rides??
  16. The key thing about red and yellow and CF has taught this to many, Thank you DANI Swords former PR of KD and current PR of Carowinds.. and I quote "Red looks awesome..it makes a ride look BOLD in the sky line" Its called make it look daring and bold so it stands out. Unless your in the mood for a marketing spiel of "hey look its TTD...lets get Mcdonalds"
  17. I see benefit also for people who live closer to major parks. Pufferfish,NC'Coaster Lvr and I live in a Hub between Carowinds, SFOG, Dollywood and a few other great major parks. Also a few hours north is BGE/KD. I myself also wouldn't hesitate to use it in travels to parks like Cedar Point. Majority ideal also. When I travel I have California's Great America and SFDK sitting in my girlfriends front door step. I also have SFGADV,Dorney park,Hershey park and such sitting on my friend from NJ's doorstep. So that park list I have shown above is MORE than justifies my means. Added- A.C.E alone is typically $65. The way I see it, TPR will offer better and more perks for a lower price and help support its awesome community. It has my support!
  18. Robb , based on all the info and ideas you have given on a "premium" membership I'd definitely be interested. I think it would also give back to the awesome community known as TPR in the long run. I believe sometimes to make something even more awesome than it already is, you need to invest in it. It would nearly be like a classified TPR stockholder lol.
  19. The differences I have noticed between new and old as far as layouts go, the older B&M's have tighter drop and apex to the hill tops due to the trains cars being less bulky. The initial drops are wider on the new ones also. As far as trains go the trains are now 8 cars long instead of 9, the seating is also more deja'vu'esk. Giving everyone a front row seat for the most part. Added apparently , the new trains give "ejector" air in the front row, prolonged air time in the middle and insane air in the back now. A huge step forward from the floater only.
  20. This is my favorite image I shot with my Iphone when on the tour.
  21. As soon as I get my next check I'm bidding on that Mamba hat lol, I love that thing!
  22. Generally for me it depends on the coaster. The most noise I have ever made on any coaster has been Thunderhead. I mean I couldn't stop with the "Oh my god's" and "Whoa!" and such. I think that ride was one of the few I have been so excited I couldn't control my cursing etc on. . I think most of the time though more often than not, at say Carowinds, I am more one to slip on my head phones and ride with music. For humor I sometimes enjoyed heavy drummed music on Cobra so I could get people watching the lift on it as I did the beats to a drum solo in the front row lol. A few of my friends on here know what I am talking about too. I do myself absolutely hate the fake screamers. The young teen girl screams or the really immature high pitch "oh my gods" from little kids makes me want to hold my ears the whole time and it makes the ride so not worth even being on. Any fake screams also remind me of RCT when you get that single rider on the biggest drops. Added a better way to look at it are those who scream right out of the station on perhaps the slowest part of the ride. Like when I use to Op on Afterburn, Nitro,Batman and all the other rides I have had experience with in my past from GADV to Carowinds. Its ALWAYS right before the lift you get those fake screamers you wanna just belt in the head with a really nice size rock. They are better off riding unconscious. 23. Here is one photo from off my Iphone, from the days events. Stereotypical "I gotta have a track self shot". Dani took the photo for me. The one interesting thing is that the track for how ever big it looks up close is so much smaller than it really seems. The one pic Wes has of the box of rusty red things if anyone wondered with the Wall-E joke. Are track end-caps, so during transit the ends where they weld do not get damaged. I just can't myself believe how far ahead of schedule they are on this massive beast.
  24. LOL Elissa a furry now that would be the day . There is already plenty of us here as it is.
  25. I have extreme mixed feelings on the matters of legalizing or "decriminalizing" as its said in California right now. I mean it may benefit the mass debt, but do people really need it for recreational use? I mean there are many questions I can ask. Though I look back at the native Americans and how they've used it for many years, they were some of the smartest people this nation has ever seen. I see positive and negative effects and thoughts for this particular drug. Then again I see people falsely acquiring it by getting card for showing medical records. The only thing I don't like about it is why should you slow yourself down, or make yourself stupid ,for a few hours just to de-stress when the world out there has alot to offer as a de-stresser. Its funny how they also make eatables in this sense like cookies and that's made with butter, which is made from boiling marijuana leaves etc. Which can last in your system for a day or so pending on the fact its made from a stronger strand of it. Also, for a laugh one of the most odd strands is called a "Pineapple express" yet there is a storm in California or a system called a "pineapple express" which is actually about to hit the state soon. A benefit I see from such things. If I may interject my own annoyance in this post is it can make clothing thats lighter weight and nicer than cotton, at times. I have a pair of hemp made shoes and necklaces.
