  1. If you don't want to have a rough ride on GhostRider: ride in the front. I have never had a problem with the roughness in the front as it is 100% tolerable. Would I like it smoother? Yes, but currently, it isn't a bad coaster.
  2. It looks like it won't take much longer for the whole coaster to be finished. I always thought that CGA was targeting opening day 2013 for the opening of Gold Striker and it seems like they are on schedule for that.
  3. Great videos! I would like to thank Robb for already asking two of my questions.
  4. According to RCDB, the tallest destroyed coaster is Moonsault Scrambler at 229' (11' taller than SOB), the fastest destroyed coaster is Hypersonic XLC at 80 mph (2 mph more than SOB), and the longest destroyed coaster is Diadarasaurus at 7677' long (645' longer than SOB). I'm surprised it wasn't the tallest, fastest, or longest destroyed (not relocated) coaster, though it is #2 in all those statistics. ----------------- ^^ Son of Beast would've looked much nicer if it had a drop straight out of the chain lift like Diamondback. Also Invertigo's new colors are looking good.
  5. Montezooma's Revenge Recreation on No Limits Hello TPR members, XYZ has released a recreation of Montezooma's Revenge found at Knott's Berry Farm on the TPR Game Exchange. The project is done, though I appreciate to see comments on the final recreation and some improvements that will be thought about for future recreations. Thanks for reading! Also, after you download the recreation, be sure to look at the catch car in the station and the flywheel launch system. 6. Well, it's nice to hear some numbers. If CP were to do the Iron horse, how would they make it significantly different from TNTAG? They'd probably throw some inversions in there somewhere, hopefully a heartline OTAG & Mean Streak have similar, but different layouts. I'm sure that Iron Horse Mean Streak's layout would be very different from NTAG.
  7. But then it's no longer wood? NTAG was marketed as a wooden coaster and the GP believe it, so as far as I'm concerned, it's known as a wooden coaster in the non-enthusiast community. Plus, I think Iron Horse Mean Streak would be a tremendous improvement over Mean Streak, regardless if it is steel or wood.
  8. Honestly, I think Iron Horse Mean Streak would be the best bet for a good woodie in the near future for Cedar Point. I'm in for Iron Streak.
  9. This is hilarious:
  10. I have been to San Francisco a lot as I lived most of my life within an hour from S.F. and I have ridden those street cars many times. Thus, I would 100% approve if Anaheim puts in a system very similar to San Francisco's street car system.
  11. Tak Attack was removed this year for TMNT Shell Shock, a Gerstlauer Sky Fly.
  12. My opinion is that Sierra Sidewinder, Silver Bullet, & Pony Express aren't gimmicks as they do more than one trick and (other than SB) was made for the family crowd more than anything else. The coasters are mainly short because of the limited space. Plus, you forgot Jaguar which is a long, nice un-gimmicky family coaster.
  13. Sierra Sidewinder (Knott's) was the first time Mack built a non-controlled spinning coaster. I went on Sierra Sidewinder and it was very good and the best family coaster I have been on. I've heard of Twist before (thanks RCDB) and from watching the video, it looks just as good as Sierra Sidewinder. So, I'm sure this is an excellent family coaster.
  14. It totally is! You must notice his clear unhappiness with the "wooden coaster" comments... quite funny to watch his mind going "its not wooden, its not, its just not" We all know what his reaction will be after he rides Outlaw Run:
  15. I'm definitely showing up early. Maybe we can have a little TPR meet-up for the ERT? I'll wear my Six Flags shirt so I'm more easily noticeable.
  16. Is it me or does that old guy to the left look like Paul Ruben?
  17. I'm surprised by that Hades announcement. This will be the first zero-g roll on a woodie, which is one of my favorite inversions, so I'm very happy to see this. Maybe, we might see Voyage 360 in the future.
  18. Cyclone (Nicco Park) Guess this coaster:
  19. If Six Flags AstroWorld was open today, it would have two Schwarzkopfs as Texas Tornado was removed in 2002, 3 years before the park shut down. It would've been nice to see SFAW open today. If it was still open, I could see them replacing XLR-8 with a larger attraction like a B&M Floorless or something.
