The Green Lantern symbol on the side of the ride was ON Sunday night after midnight, and I could see it from the freeway as I drove by on the 5 South. Super bright and it looks pretty cool. Also, I don't believe anybody has mentioned it before on here, but the Superman "S" at the top of the S:EFK tower is now lit up again after more than a decade of being off! It looks awesome! As for the quality of re-themes for Six Flags, I continue to be unimpressed. I saw DC Universe in person yesterday and I think the DC Universe sign looks ridiculously cheap and out of place and cannot believe the Gotham City Backlot met its demise due to these "improvements." Since when is DC so bright and colorful? I don't mind adding some new "theme" to the old flats, but to me the bright buildings and colors don't fit the main attraction of the area - Batman The Ride. I also don't like the cardboard cutouts either, and I know they have them to save money, but don't they know guests see right through that? Some statues would have been nice and would last longer, as I have a feeling the cardboard cutouts will be faded garbage in a year. As for the park, go ride Superman: Escape from Krypton! SO much better than S:TE, and besides the big 3 (Tatsu, X, Deja) is probably now one of my favorite rides in the park. The wait wasn't too bad either!

Wow, I was bummed when the Superman statue never returned to the top of the tower, and now it looks like they removed him from the top of the Super Store too? That one photo where you took a look into the back of the park, that appears to be the Super Store statue, next to the one that used to be in Gotham City that's now gone too. Bummer. Why does the park always have to take out stuff that we like, which makes the park unique? And yes, great shots rideslover!

Nope. I will hand it to CP though, as TTD's launch is stronger than KK's. But other than that, even Magic Mountain beats CP in terms of coasters. Take Tatsu, Deja Vu and X2 in terms of WTF thrills and forces in general, and they beat out any 3 coaster punch CP has to offer. Yeah the atmosphere at CP is awesome, but the coasters at Six Flags are just better.

Saw them moving stuff tonight with the crane and they're moving along pretty good, every 10 or so minutes they were moving various parts over Silver Bullet, and landing them near the Windseeker dock...from the ride lot, it looks like they have another yellow tower, then one more purple and green and the baby should be topped off as far as swing movement is concerned. I've seen the movement and swing mechanisms over on Western, but have yet to see the top section of the tower arrive.

Ugh, IMO in a park like Magic Mountain there's no reason Apoc should have 1 train operation making up unnecessary 2 hour waits. It just keeps guests waiting in line, tied up from being able to SPEND money around the rest of the park! The ride should have 3 trains, 2 on the track at all times and 1 sitting on the transfers, being rehabbed, ready to replace a running train if needed. The 12th row also needs to be added to increase capacity even if it helps just a little. This is stuff that should just be standard, but again this is Six Flags we're talking about. These early TRs are making me wonder if I should even make a trip to the park this summer. I'll have a good time when I go, but it puts a damper on the day when operations are lousy and the park doesn't appear to be running efficiently. It sometimes makes me wonder if I should just wait until the off-season when crowds are lighter.

Yes, this website's update will answer your question. www.thecoasterguy.com/index.php/2011/05/29/six-flags-magic-mountains-metro-monorail-arrives-in-hershey-pa/#more-985 Must be nice to have a home park that invests in niceties and attractions which don't necessarily garner revenue through advertisement. Even though Hershey won't see a dime increase at the end of the year for buying those trains, they still decide to invest in an attraction to provide their guests with transportation rides, which make the overall experience at the park just a little bit nicer for everyone visiting the park. Take some notes, Six Flags!

Wow, even though the retards at Six Flags practically RUINED Superman Ride of Steel by putting their version of a re-theme on it, complete with cardboard cutouts and a flame machine that didn't make sense, it still made #1! Six Flags: Now can we PLEASE have it back to the way it was? I don't need inaudible music blasting in my ears while I'm riding the worlds best steel coaster, thanks. -
If you're talking about Sky Tower, for some reason I believe this. Key word: sustained. Now for earthquakes, I wonder if it could withstand Japan-like shaking. That would be CRAZY to be up there! As for the coasters, just look at SFNO after Katrina, and that will tell you all you need to know about the structural integrity of the coasters surviving the worst of mother nature. A big reason is the entire ride is like 1 big spine that distributes it's weight evenly throughout a foundation of deep rooted supports. Also, rides like Tatsu have such a wide foot print that it all leans on each other, so even if a support busted in half, the ride would still stand because it could lean on and depend on the rest of the structure surrounding it to hold it up. Of course it wouldn't be safe to operate a train, but no doubt it would still be standing.

I believe that used to be a snack stand back when Ninja was in its hayday, as there was a lot of traffic up there when Ninja opened and it was pretty busy on the mountain. I'm not sure, but I think it also sold Ninja gifts, as I have an old plastic Ninja mug from opening year that I'm pretty sure my mom purchased for me while I was riding. The Laughing Dragon used to be the Four Seasons, I know that for sure.
