  1. Thanks for the replies everyone. I am going a couple weeks from now, so hopefully every kid will be at school.
  2. I just scored a room at the Knotts hotel by bidding on Priceline. I will visit Knotts 2 weeks from now. This will be my first visit ever. Can someone please tell me the price of a one-day ticket if I am already staying at the Knotts hotel? Can someone give me advice about which rides to ride first?
  3. Here you go.... http://www.sscoasters.net/forum/f19/guess-coaster-11727/index96.html
  4. You absolutely must pay for a storage unit at X2, and usually at Tatsu (even though there are cubbies built into the station). Paid storage exists at Scream and Riddler's, but as far as I know, they aren't mandatory anymore. x2 was the only ride that required people to pay for storage when i went last week
  5. Wear good running shoes. Run the half mile to twisted colossus. Then work your way back Whatever the reason, they won't sell now that their stock is rising..... http://finance.yahoo.com/echarts?s=SIX+Interactive#{"range":"max","allowChartStacking":true}
  6. Employees have a habit of giving incorrect information, so I would wait a few days to see if it is indeed closed consistently.
  7. Good to know. I would had thought that Tuesday and Wednesday of that week will be less busy than Friday. Are we talking so dead that TC will be a walk-on all day?
  8. Good point. They get paid whether or not the park sucks.
  9. I got an email from Magic Mountain to fill out an online survey. I did so and suggested that their park officers read this TPR forum everyday if they really want to improve the park. The people who contribute to this thread are very smart and know exactly what needs to be improved. I doubt the park officers will take my advice and bother to read this thread.
  10. The coasters are awesome enough (when they run) to justify a trip to the park. Just expect your experience to be lousy when you are not riding a coaster. Kinda like visiting the pyramids of Giza. I have no desire to visit the rest of Egypt, but I want to visit the pyramids at least once in my life. Magic Mountain coasters are diamonds in the rough. To justify your trip even more, visit Disneyland as well. And see the space shuttle Endeavor at the California Science Museum. And have an In-N-Out burger. And get some fish tacos at Rubio's. And go to Universal Studios.
  11. $7/month if you sign up at least 4 people, and the water park is not included. It is still cheaper than Disney, but I think most people would be willing to pay more if they got their crap together.
  12. Agreed. I wish they would realize that giving a crap about your customers would lead to more business and revenue. There's a reason that Disney is incredibly crowded almost all year.
  13. Disney is open 365 days per year yet excels in ride maintenance and their parks are spotless because they do not accept anything less than excellence. Six Flags is closed about 140 days per year. They do not need more days off. They need better management and more staff.
  14. Single rider opened at 10:15, so if an employee tells you it opens at 11, don't believe him
  15. Just entered single rider for tc. Was told no single rider until 11am. Typical six flags
  16. Another solution is to sell a head cushion that looks like a helmet so that hitting your head is no longer painful. They could decorate such a cushion with Superhero logos. I think people would wear them considering they are willing to wear capes at MM.
  17. ^ It was painful until I learned to lean forward during the entire ride so that it is impossible to hit my head. Now I can ride it 10 times in a row. But yes, it is another ride that needs Yolo-type restraints instead of the upper body restraint. Since Six Flags is probably too cheap to buy new trains, they should start a GoFundMe account to pay for new trains. I bet it would fund.
  18. Does anyone know which rides will be operating during Discover card ERT tomorrow? Also, are general passholders welcome in addition to Discover holders?
  19. ^ Come to the park, then decide an hour later whether or not you need a flash pass.
  20. Would that conflict with the other grouper? For example, if lane 4 has only one rider, a talented main line grouper could leave lane 5 vacant until he finds a group of three to fill lanes 4 and 5. If the single rider line had its own grouper, she could inadvertently ruin the main line grouper's plans by filling lane 4 with a single rider. As someone else suggested, it is best to have the single rider line right next to the main line so the grouper can fill lanes quickly, and he would not have to walk back and forth like an expecting new father.
  21. The least expensive yet amazing modification to Viper would be to change the restraints to the same restraints that Twisted Colossus uses. Heck, they could just build one train and keep running some of the old trains to save money.
