It's actually very relaxing if you learn to relax and just surrender instead of fighting it. Put your hands up, look at the horizon, and try to enjoy the fall. Act like you WANT to drop. The more you relax, the more fun it is. Clutching the metal restraints actually makes the drop more stressful. Just put your hands up, and relax every muscle in your body. Many infantry soldiers deal with combat stress by pretending that they are already dead. If you accept the fact that you are already dead, it is much easier to deal with combat. Same goes for Drop of Doom. Just pretend you are already dead and that you are just floating gently to the ground. Sounds very weird but it works. Once you master this technique, the best part will be watching the people next to you freak out. I regularly witness grown men scream like babies.

^ The quantity of people called each time would be tweaked until there is a smooth flow of people. The stage could be on top of the loading station with seats surrounding the station in a circular shape to minimize the distance between the loading area and each guest. The guests would be entertained EVEN WHEN THE RIDE IS TEMPORARILY DOWN. Idea number two: The queue contains individual seats that slowly move in a conveyor belt fashion (think Disney Haunted Mansion but smaller and less expensive). You cannot wait in line unless you have a seat. Line cutting would be impossible. On second thought, this would break down on a regular basis.

The only way I can think of to eliminate line cutting is for guests to take a number at each ride. Then they could all sit down and wait for their number to be called. For example, now boarding numbers 200-249. Basically, mandatory Disney-style fast passes. As the guests sit down and wait, employees could walk through and sell sodas and treats like at a baseball game. There could be a stage with live entertainers. There are thousands of starving entertainers in Los Angeles. They could hire actors and comedians for cheap. A video display over the entertainers could show which tickets are being boarded. The goal would be to keep guests entertained and comfortable EVERY minute that they are in the park. Here's a video of what it would look like. lol...... Every problem has a solution.

Absolutely. For example, I'm confident Disney has more employees per guest than does Six Flags. Disney has parades, fireworks, horse carriages, cable cars, tons of live performances, etc. Also, Disney is open all year compared to Six Flags which is closed most of the year. So for annual passes at least, the price per day might be comparable. I'm sure Disney sells a crapload more retail than does Six Flags. Women especially cannot get enough of Disney retail. Six Flags retail is meh.

^ In my humble opinion, Disney charges a lot for admission because they know guests are willing to pay that much. Americans adore Disney. It's like baseball, hot dogs, and apple pie. If Disney attendance drops, so will admission prices, but I don't see attendance dropping. Six Flags on other hand has awesome rides but generally crappy customer service, so they cannot get away with charging as much as does Disney.

That's awesome. I would had paid money to witness that. I'm sure many of the employees think, "why should I enforce the rules and risk getting punched?" I should videotape line jumpers and post them on a hall of shame video on youtube. In fact, six flags should change their signs from "line cutters will be ejected" to "if you see line jumping in progress, please videotape it and show it to a manager". If line jumpers noticed several guests videotaping them, they might think twice. If I ever see a guest yell at line cutters and make them go to the back of the line, I will give that man $5 and a slap on the back.

Regarding line cutting, will the MM staff actually do anything if I tell them that some people cut in line? Or are the signs that "line cutters will be ejected from the park" just bull crap? Three guys from a high school swim team field trip cut the X2 line the other day to join their buddies. I should had found their chaparone. This is another advantage of single rider line. I have never seen anyone cut a single rider line.

Got to ride TC 15 minutes before closing for a total of 6 times today. Then rode Scream and went home. Today was the first time my girlfriend rode TC. She adores it. During my single rider rides, it was fun talking to people who never rode it before. I told them what to expect and they were all blown away by the ride.
