  1. Yep, it did that when we still had it. Take my advice, blow the damned thing up and build something useful in It's place- like a garden!!!
  2. Your choices will be limited to JLBFM, Runaway Mountain and Yosemite Sam. Everything not indoors will be closed.
  3. That's ridiculous. The SFOT version is already open and you guys have to wait until June? So they're going to keep this thing closed for a whole week after media day?
  4. I just rode the SFOT version today for the first time. Let me tell you this is a fantastic new attraction for both parks. You guys are in for a treat next week.
  5. I just took a couple of rides on JLBFM, even though I had to stand in the rain most of the day. All I can say is WOW!!!! the theming is the best SFOT has ever done in its history. The ride itself is truly world class with the last two chase scenes being worth the wait all by themselves. The Cyborg and Joker animatronics are truly spectacular. The ride is fun from start to finish and gives the park a fantastic new attraction.
  6. Is there anything to see on that long stretch of extra track? WDW and DL both have their own version of the Haunted Mansion ride. The one at WDW is longer and has a far better facade than the one at DL. However, having ridden both on numerous occasions, I can say that I prefer the one at DL to the one at WDW. Why? Although the WDW version is longer and has additional scenes (haunted library), the pacing and overall impact of the DL version is better. The extra scenes in the WDW version add little to the ride experience itself. Indeed, the extra length only serves to make the WDW version seem overdone and more drawn out than the superbly crafted original DL version. Whether or not one version of JLBFM will be better than the other depends greatly on each rider's perspective. Some will, no doubt, prefer the SFSTL version. Others might prefer the SFOT version. That being said, I think any differences in the actual ride experience for each park will be negligible. The facades not withstanding, I don't think it will be possible to say that one version is clearly better than the other. What are you talking about? The haunted library MAKES that ride. Sorry, it did nothing for me.

  8. I figured if any SF park got a dark ride like this it would be MM not SFOT or SFSTL. I'm thrilled to have SFOT right down the road from me. What an awesome new attraction for the park.
  9. Your load/unload area will be longer than ours allowing for quicker load/unload procedures. We have three extra cars to help offset this. Our rider capacity will (hopefully) be as good as yours.
  10. I've ridden Spiderman at Universal and this looks to be on par with that. I can't wait until Saturday when I get to take my first ride on this amazing new attraction.
  11. I'm surprised this thread hasn't been any busier than this. What with the impending opening of JLBFM. Heaven forbid this ride should turn out to be a spectacular new addition to the park and a massive hit.
  12. One of the park security guards told me this 2 years ago. He said management had been talking about bringing a Wing Rider into the park. Whatever.
  13. I've seen the pov's of the Justice League ride in Australia and I must say I'm underwhelmed. It looks to me like a pale attempt to copy MIB the ride at Universal Florida. If JLBFM turns out anything like that it'll be a mediocre attraction at best.
  14. It looks to me like the new attraction is going to be directly in the way of Dive Bomber. I'm not sure what they're planning to do about this, but there's no way DB can continue to operate if they build something directly beneath it.
  15. There are footers set directly behind the building. It's possible that they are working on some sort of indoor coaster type of attraction. The sign did promise something "spectacular", so they better keep their word.
  16. An RMC conversion of "The Boss" seems your most likely scenario.
  17. The speculation on the new attraction should draw plenty of attention to this thread in the coming weeks.
  18. Just got back from Frightfest, had a great time. Six haunted houses this year- Circus Berzerkis, Cadaver Asylum, Total Darkness, Skullduggery, Piggy's Slaughter House and Zombie Factory. Piggy's Slaughter House is easily the best, but the 3D effects in Circus Berzerkis are pretty cool- especially the 3D bugs on the walls. Total Darkness was ok for a good scare but you have to hold onto a rope with several other people. This causes problems in the dark, especially when some idiot in front of you panics and starts yanking you all over the place. Cadaver Asylum is pretty much the same as last year. One of the actors inside Cadaver Asylum made a terrible mistake tonight and nearly knocked himself unconscious. It happened about mid-way through the attraction. I was about to go through a doorway covered with long strips of black plastic. The scare actor was on the other side and unaware that I was about to come through. I reached in front of me to part the plastic strips as I went. The actor on the other side picked that exact moment to charge through with a blood curdling scream. He charged directly into my outstreached knuckles as I was grabbing the plastic. My hand caught him flush under the chin and sent him staggering backwards against the wall. He collapsed to the floor and I immediately said "oh, sorry, I didn't see you" hoping he wouldn't think that I had done it on purpose. He waved me on through from his seated position but he was clearly too dazed to stand back up. I left him there to recover. Zombie Factory is a short but sweet attraction with plenty of good special effects, the fright actors did a great job. Skullduggery is best at night. Walking through the foggy woods with plenty of fright actors to keep you entertained. All in all a great trip to the park.
  19. ^Well, FF has never really been fun in broad daylight. It has to be dark in order to really have a good time at FF.
  20. I'm not that big on Pandemonium either, but everyone else I know seems to love it.
  21. ^^How did she get your son's phone? Did she just take it off of his person?
  22. I've said this before and I'll say it again. The main thing to look for in 2014 is bulldozers in the old abandoned shopping area. It takes time to clear that area in preperation for expansion. So far no demolition of the old shops has begun. When it does, that can only mean expansion of some sort. Possibly for 2015.
  23. I haven't ridden Steel Eel since 2000. I remember it having a lot of air time but I also remember it having a herky-jerky feel. It kinda reminded me of Magnum XL200 at CP.
