  1. It would appear that Texas Skyscreamer has garnered international fame. Mostly due to this guy's histronics. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hV5vOT6238U
  2. Whelp, I guess that's all she wrote for iRat. They'll have to close it permanently now. lol
  3. Are they planning to have some sort of media day for Boomerang?
  4. ^^For the best possible ride on NTAG try the right hand seat in the very back row. It's the "MAN's" seat.
  5. By that, do you mean that you're afraid to ride TSS? Or that you're unable to visit SFOT all together. If a 150ft "kiddy" swing scares you, then I would definitely stay off the 400ft Texas Skyscreamer. For that matter, anyone suffering from acrophobia should avoid TSS entirely.
  6. ^^ To be honest, the little kids seemed to be loving TSS. Most of the adults I saw coming off the ride seemed sort of "meh" about it. Personally, I want to take a night time ride on TSS and see how that is.
  7. ^Thanks! Sorry, but the one ride I had was a total bore fest. I could have gone to sleep on this thing. Furthermore, the ride has to close the minute the wind picks up. I fear investing in TSS may turn out to be a colossal mistake for SFOT.
  8. Just came back from the park, managed one ride on Texas Skyscreamer before it closed due to high winds. This I fear will become a recurring problem for TS. I took the pics below whilst waiting to ride. The ride itself was niether scary nor thrilling I'm sad to say. Again, the ride closed for the remainder of the day right after I got off. The only thing that keeps TS from being a total letdown is it's sheer size. A shorter Skyscreamer wouldn't even be worth a 30 minute wait let alone the two hours I spent in line for TS. The view from that high up is certainly nothing to sneeze at and at night time I'm sure TS will prove much more enjoyable with all the city lights on. Having ridden Windseeker at CP I guess I was hoping for a bit more from this ride. Although, to be fair, I wasn't all that impessed with Windseeker either. In line for Texas Skyscreamer. A bit closer now. Happy riders boarding the 400ft Skyscreamer. The TS rider staging area. You will be asked to stand on either a red or blue circle. Sadly, these guests are waiting for a ride on the Texas Skyscreamer that will never come.
  9. I was at the park today. One of the workers told me that the president of Six Flags along with park president Steve Martindale had both been on the Skyscreamer today. I asked if they liked it, he replied "well, they weren't crying when they got off". I'm guessing they liked it. I took these photos of some of the workers test riding Skyscreamer. Here we see workers actually on the ride. This is a video truck. They're preparing to do a tv shoot. If you look closely you can just make out park president Steve Martindale standing near the entrance to the queue.
  10. ^Looks like none of the chains have broken yet. They probably won't until I get on, and then, only the chains holding my chair.
  11. So, you were selected to be a guinea pig for this thing were you. Probably, a good thing you couldn't make it. I'm guessing that if the test subjects, I mean, first riders survive, then they'll start allowing regular park patrons on this thing.
  12. Iron Boss would also have G-trains, but they would be the latest design like the ones on iRAT and NTAG. Also, The Boss would have a cool new nickname like "iBOSS" or something.
  13. ^ 45 mins to an hour, depending on ride op proficiency. As for your other question......no.
  14. Thanks! I'll keep that in mind as the dates get closer. Is your list put together by any type of system like going in a big circle of the park or anything rather than trekking back and forth all day? I suppose I could handle the swing rides, I rode it hundreds of times, I just always had an irrational day dream of sorts about falling into the pond they had next to it or my shoes falling in the pond and having to go shoeless the rest of the day. Any input on my other questions? As far as Flash pass, I personally never use it. NTAG is only included on the Platinum pass, and even then only 1 ride per day. Weekends are always crowded, it's better to go on a Monday or Tuesday if possible. Flash pass would best be used for rides like Batman and Mr Freeze. As I said, you need Platinum for 1 ride on the New Texas Giant- which for me isn't worth it. Titan is a high capacity coaster with a fast moving line. Even on a crowded day I've never waited longer than 30 mins to ride the Titan, which makes Flash pass seem redundant. Single riders are welcome on any ride in the park. Pandimonium even has a single rider line. My system is a clockwise circumference of the park. I start with rides which are likely to draw the most patrons. NTAG is the most popular ride right now. Getting to it early will reduce wait time. If you get there when the park opens, head straight for it followed by Titan. This way you can get quick rides on both before lines form. The rest of the rides are done in a clockwise circle of the park. This will allow you to hit rides like Superman and Mr Freeze whilst other guests are queing for NTAG and Titan. Judge Roy Scream is almost always a walk on, so it doesn't really matter when you ride it.
  15. ^ Cool!!! As I am a gold pass holder I shall be there!!!!
  16. I would ride in this order. New Texas Giant (NTAG) Titan Shockwave Superman - Tower of Power Runaway Mine Train/ Mini Mine Train. Mr Freeze Batman Skyscreamer Judge Roy Scream Pandimonium Runaway Mountain La Vibora PS- If you can't handle a standard size swing ride (Gunslinger), then you're better off staying away from Texas Skyscreamer.
  17. I do not want one of those ridiculous low- capacity Intamin Zac-Spins in here. Those things are a waste of space.
  18. They won't remove Titan unless their planning to replace it with something better. JRS is the most logical choice.
  19. Park security keeps telling me we're getting a wing rider like X-Flight.
  20. I would imagine Mrs. Alvey is anxious to ride this bad boy after the review you just gave, Robb. Texas is proud to be the home of, not one, but two RMC masterpieces.
  21. ^July can't get here fast enough for me either. That thing looks epic! Thanks Robb!
  22. Just got back from the park. Took these photos of work being done Skyscreamer. Work continues on Skyscreamer's fencing. The queue is just about done. They kept raising and lowering the swings all day without any rotation. One more shot of queue work being done.
  23. Gee Robb, judging from that POV, I'm gonna guess that you like this ride. I could be wrong of course.
  24. Thanks for the photos, Robb! You must be pretty excited about tomorrow. Unfortunately, I won't be able to ride iRAT until July. But I'm sure looking forward to it.
  25. I was thinking The Boss could be renamed "The Big Boss" in the event of an RMC makeover. Or perhaps "The Big Steel Boss" would be a possibility. Any takers?
