  1. Just a reminder that the official reveal is two days away! I'm thrilled to be attending the 6:30pm Thursday announcement in which the official POV will be shown for the first time!
  2. Quite right. They're the same trains, but they've been completely refurbished and repainted. They seem to ride like new! Very smooth!
  3. New spicy chicken sandwich now available at All American Cafe!
  4. The odds are against you receiving any type of extravagant investment, I'm talking $20 million upwards. So, unless corporate completely changes their thinking, anything along the lines of a hyper or giga would definitely be out. Having said that, an investment in the $10-12 million range is not entirely impossible.
  5. I will be attending the official announcement of our new record breaking Dive Coaster next week! Stay tuned for more updates as we will soon know everything about this incredible new coaster, including an official POV!
  6. As expected! I knew Conquistador would likely have to go.
  7. Your dreams are not in question. Corporate dreams, on the other hand, may be slightly smaller than yours.
  8. A giga or hyper would run $20-30 million, assuming you want something worth riding. I'm not sure the park would receive that large of an investment under SF's current financial situation. Having said that, a smaller dive coaster along the lines of Iron Menace or Dr. D might just be possible.
  9. Well, the park is in desperate need of a new coaster. So, let's hope the new ride(s) the park management is lobbying for aren't just used flats.
  10. The 2163 is in meters, indicating 7096 FT. The thermometer reads 103°, this could only mean one thing- drop angle! The man in the suit I'm not sure about. Edit: I should have realized this. The 2163 is Husain Bolts bib number from the 08 Olympics. The man in the suit is Robert Wadlow. Tallest and fastest Dive Coaster.
  11. Latest clue to the specs of our new Giga-Dive Coaster! Courtesy of Six Flags Over Texas!
  12. The reveal date had been announced! https://www.facebook.com/share/v/17AN2FT537/
  13. Yeah, the merger is seeing some early setbacks. Obviously, there will be some growing pains and adjustments will have to be made to the chain to cut costs. But, I think in time this new merger will iron out it's problems and get back on track. PS: I shudder to think what the new SFOT Giga-Dive is probably costing. But, so far so good, construction appears to be on schedule.
  14. First footers for the new "Record Breaking Launch Coaster". Any guesses as to what it's going to be. Photo courtesy of Coliwood Studios and Six Flags Great Adventure.
  15. I stand corrected. Thanks for the info. I ,for one, do hope that something big will come SFSTL's way. If S:ROS is to be relocated then hopefully it will come to this park.
  16. If they do decide to relocate S:ROS then I would definitely want to see it go to SFSTL. The park is in desperate need of a major new attraction, even if it's relocated from another park.
  17. The problem is that CF isn't in the habit of relocating rides. Relocating S:ROS would be cost prohibitive. Ride deconstruction alone would cost millions. Plus the cost of clearing the land at SFSTL, and then ride transportation and reconstruction costs. It would make more sense from a financial perspective to simply build a new coaster.
  18. There's no delay. Construction appears to be on schedule. The official announcement should be late August or early September.
