  1. This got me thinking about Mindbender at SFOG. It's been around for so long now. (Since 1978) It is still a great ride and always has been, but you said that all coasters have lifespans. When will Mindbender's usable lifetime end? Fortunately, the only issue Mind Bender would have is the trains aging. That can be fixed by getting new ones from Gerstlaur.
  2. Testing should begin in a couple of weeks then.
  3. I think it's funny how SFOG has among the best coasters of their type, besides Superman, kiddie, and Dahlonega Mine Train, then we have Ninja, one of the worst ranked coasters in the world.
  4. Too bad the chain couldn't have caused significant damage to Ninja.
  5. GASM's. I mean, unless a park specifically asks for those cars, PTC doesn't make those trains since most wooden coaster manufacturers have their own cars for their own tracks.
  6. It's not that far from Marietta where SFWW is located. I doubt Six Flags is going to care about some small park.
  7. ^ Yes. PTC doesn't make those type of cars anymore.
  8. I'd rather keep GASM's natural track. The trains don't tear up the track as much as Georgia Cyclone's do, so there is no point in changing it. It really ran well last year when I went to the park.
  9. People seem to be forgetting that Mind Bender is 35 this year! Runs great for such an old coaster.
  10. After seeing the outlaw run POV, I'd love to see SFoG do a large project with RMC - either something totally new or something like the RMC treatment to scream machine. You know, that sounds exciting and all, but I would not like to see them change the Scream Machine like that. It would be smooth, fast and an all round better ride experience, but the thing is is that it's been around for so long. It's different from other woodies that have been around for 10 years or so and now need the Rocky Mountain Treatment to make it a hit again. The Sream Machine is part of the park's early history; it was one of the first attractions to be built outside of the railroad. It's one of those coasters built during the age when new innovations in ride design were coming up all over the place. It was the highlight of the coaster world when it first opened, being the tallest and fastest. (Probably didn't last for long) It's kind of like putting all steel horses on the Rigerview Carousel. Sure the new horses could be more comfortable and would certainly last longer, but the carousel is part of history, unlike modern day carousels that can be changed to go faster, ect. That's all right because those aren't significant in history. Now sure, steel horses are probably not going to outfitted on any carousel, I was just trying to get m point across. Definitely a good point. A new RMC coaster would be better anyway. Hmm, a RMC I-Box hybrid and Georgia Cyclone fleshed out with Topper Track... Sign me up!
  11. There was an update from the App Store today, I downloaded it, absolutely nothing new.
  12. At the end of the day, this is still a gimmick, but it looks like a fun gimmick. It probably will never be a favorite of mine if I ever go to SFMM, but it does look fun, I'll give you that.
  13. Could this finally cause Ninja to leave? (I know, won't happen, but one can hope!)
  14. I imagine that TPR will be hitting this on their Japan Trip, so I'm hoping that we get a review of the new trains once they do ride it. B&M is surprising me this year with backwards rows on some of their coasters and now new trains for a coaster they never worked on before.
  15. So, with Ninja not opening until May 17th, I still firmly believe Six Flags is planning a Memorial Day Weekend opening of SkyScreamer.
  16. Here's a well known one: While a boy's parents leave him at home, two bumbling idiots try to keep him company.
  17. Someone take pictures of SkyScreamer. It should be close to completion by now.
  18. I'm not talking about the trees. The cobra roll is half the size of the loop and is directly after the loop.
  19. Are we all forgetting that this is the same company that helped build El Toro? We all knew that this was going to be a kick - ass ride for years to come.
  20. The cobra roll after the loop will most likely kill anyone who dares to ride that coaster.
  21. Why is there a Batman when Cedar Fair has no rights to the name? Also, Cedar Point has plenty of other coasters as well, not just those three.
