Phantasialand Discussion Thread

Hi all, Drove to Bruhl yesterday for our annual visit to Phantasialand. We wanted to see the winterdecorations (first time ever for us in the park in winter) but our main reason of course was to ride Taron and see the Klugheim area after missing it when we visited the park last April. The park looked amazing, especially after dark when the lights are turned on. Klugheim is very impressive with great theming. Crowds were ok with nothing more than a 10 min. wait, with the exception of Maus (25 min.) and Taron (between 30-40 min.). Did all the usual rides (Black Mamba, Winja's, Mystery castle, Raik, Maus) before going to the main dish of the day:Taron. We rode a couple of the 'main' Intamin acceleratercoasters in the past (Maverick, Ispeed, Cheetah Hunt) so we have a nice list to compare Taron with. In total we did 4 rides on it: twice during daytime and twice in the dark, both of those with front seat. We both agreed (me and my wife), especially after the 2 rides in the dark, that Taron is far better compared with Ispeed and Cheetah hunt and is for us on the same level with Maverick, maybe even a little better. The 2 rides during daytime were fantastic but when it's dark and you have front seats.........wow! Awesome ride! Phantasialand definitely has a winner with Klugheim and Taron. Sorry, no pictures. It was too cold to hold a camera Paul -
Just left the park to cool down and take a swim at the hotel. The park was way more crowded than I expected. Also the heat doesn't help at all ( we're from northern europe, not build for this kind of weather). All the rides had a 45-60 min lines around noon. Glad we did FT and TC directly when we entered the park as those were the 2 we didn't ride when we were here in May 2013 for obvious reasons[emoji4]. Thinking about returningto the park around 7/7.30 just to watch the fright fest activities come to life. We're not big on halloween things so we will see......

Hi all, Question: We want to visit sfmm on sunday september 18th. Apparently that's the first weekend of fright fest. Is it correct that we only can buy the full prize ticket in advance? Seems that those tickets are the only ones valid on that day. We don't care about the fright fest festivities, just there to ride some coasters[emoji12]. Thanks! Edit:typo

Hi guys, We ( my wife and myself) are gonna visit the disney parks the last 3 days of our holiday. Dates are 19-21 september. We want to buy the tickets in advance( 3-day no hopper) via internet so that we don't have to wait at the register the first day we arrive. Just order the tickets on the disneyland site or are there other options? Thanks! Paul

thanks Dave! It will be too late for us but I still wanna know Ah well: at least we rode the cr*p out of Flying Aces. Edit: we went back to the mall/ ferrariworld for our final night of this trip and FR is still closed. They are working on the launch track with a small crane. After 4 days of seeing this sign I really hate it -

Despite the website saying that Formula Rossa was closed for 1 day ( last monday), the ride is still closed to this day (thursday). Real bummer if you're only here for those 4 days like we do........ Some serious problems maybe? I heard that they never schedule maintenance on a weekend normaly? -

Flying Aces@Ferrariworld! The ride is awesome, absolutely no problems with the lapbars what so ever despite the Skyrush stories and me being quite a big guy. -

Thanks for the quick response Dave! Guess we have to wait and see. Already rode Gringotts a couple of years ago so we can do without the sfx.......more time to ride Formula and flying aces[emoji3] -

Hi guys! Just booked our trip to Abu Dhabi for the 2nd week of May. After visiting Dubai and Abu Dhabi a couple of months ago it is time to visit Ferrariworld again and also do some other stuff. I'm not worried about riding Flying Aces in May (planned opening January) but I can't seem to find anything about the SFX coaster. Anyone has any thoughts about this? (Dubaidave maybe?[emoji4]) Thanks! -
