IMO, I just came from CGA today, I believe Action Theater (where spongebob 3D use to be), Rue Le Dodge (Bumper Cars), Invertigo Park, and honestly the Thunder Raceway can all go and become space for better rides. Again, people probably will argue but that's my opinion from what I notice is low guest usage. I could see a coaster using the spot of the Action Theater and the former Invertigo site. What type I have no idea but I could see it running down the service road as well.

Grizzly isn't going to go anywhere anytime soon. That coaster will have some of the longest lines in the park since it is big with families. Plus the past two years they have been re-tracking the ride and I think more is planned for this coming off-season. Grizzly is not a rough coaster at all, the only issue with it is, the coaster is boring! It doesn't do anything which makes enthusiasts upset and families glad because they can bring their children that may have never been on a large coaster before.

^I knew there was another park that had that many, Kings Island just came off the top of my head. The other things with Great America GP is they still don't believe they are building a new coaster. Many think its the 49ers stadium. -

A few from Great America's announcement about Gold Striker. I guess this person never heard of Kings Island, which at one time had FOUR wooden coasters operating. I also don't know how people are even able to compare Gold Striker to Grizzly, really makes my head hurt. -
Here's my P:TR! Before I get started I want to thank the park for inviting me to an awesome event! A look at the stage for the event. Going into the park noticing a bunch of tables, that means food! Really cool table center pieces, has wood and some really big bolts! Sort of like coaster bolts. They had a few different types of Chili, I only had the steak but it was really good! A highlight for me was this drink, they called it Cactus Punch,it was really good! It had no cactus just lemons, sherbet and some other things. Sort of tasted like a lemon cookie, really hope they sell this drink! Taking a look at the coaster peeking over the wall. Snoopy has his hard hat on and is ready to go to work! The news is here now. Don gets on stage and talks about some of the current promotions going on around the park. Raul gets on stage and is ready to announce the new coaster! Miners pull that curtain down! Gold Striker, the parks new wooden coaster! 49ers rep and former player got on stage to mention the auction they are going to hold for the first riders. Rides logo Some stats I'll call him Miner Mike Look down on the current construction. The rides layout. Few shots of the model they had on display. This is going to look a lot different next year! Something I never have seen at the park, a completely empty walk way! The park was also handing out these USB flash drives that have press material on them. Which is also shaped like a gold bar!

So I went to the park for a little while today, and the park was quite today! Which I really enjoyed since crowds have been fairly heavy lately.(Which is good!) I will mostly talk through the pictures. Just a few reminders: Vortex should be going down to one train so expect longer waits. Rip Roaring Rapids closes next weekend to be transformed into Werewolf Canyon. Now onto the pictures! Making our way up to the main gate the Haunt RV is back! (Does anyone know if it is actually drive-able?) Waiting for the Star Tower to come back down. This is were all the construction equipment likes to hang out. Drumstick is still waiting for vertical construction. Some more Club Blood pictures, don't think anything has really changed as far as construction goes. Some more Club Blood, looks like some of the walls have been redone. Some bents waiting to go vertical. This was the parking lot this morning, hardly any cars compared to last Saturday. Some more progress on this turn around. Jack is back again! Random picture of Flight Deck. Headed over to Boomerang Bay now to get on the slides before they close for the season. That's me getting some sweet wall time. Wood for the new maze still hiding backstage. Claw machines have been removed as Toy Factory is going to be set up. View of the new building where the new maze is going in. I'll end the update with a few AU13 pictures. Also forgot to mention that the doughnut has been cemented over and the elephant still lives!
