TPR Video Competition Question
TheStig replied to Twister II's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Im making a BGT video for next years contest, but what is it that you look for in a good video? I know a video of people having a good time is what I like to see, but in mine there is only coasters and flats...is that good? But right now Ive got more to capture before I can complete it and it includes a POV of Scorpion, Python, Montu and Sheikra (all with permission of course). Colin"I have a good CP video though..."C -
^^ and ^^^ those didn't work. I mean its stupid because it just randomly did it. Ill see if I can take a pic of it to show you whats wrong... Colin"and excuse me for not putting in a G"C

Okay about 15 minutes ago I was sitting at my computer when all of a sudden all the icons change and boxes appear around the words below the icon itself. Now, before this the boxes blended in with my backround, and now they cover it up! What can I do to make them blend in again? Any help would be nice...thanks Colin C

Discovery Channel Needs YOUR help!
TheStig replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
For some reason I would like to see the re-construction of Starliner. It would be really cool to see how it turns out, and what changes are made. I really think its cool that DC asked us to do this...it makes me feel special (because Im a special guy I guess)... Colin"Didn't really know where I was going with that one"C -
I call Gwazi a 2 credit coaster because although they are mirror images of each other, they vary in some areas. I count all racing, dueling coasters as two because they are two seperate tracks that in sme cases share supports. But if you want some real credit whoreing, head over to Little A-Merikk-A in WI, it says WHORE all over it... Colin"Little dipper and the wooden plank breaks, oh yeah"C

Discovery Channel Needs YOUR help!
TheStig replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Oh boy were famous! Humm my most anticipated for 2006 would have to be: Expidition Everest: I am really looking forward to this coaster that has been under construction for a long time now. Its really shaping up to be a exciting looking ride. The Voyage: Its a Gravity Group woodie. Nuff said... Superman: Yeah rockit coasters are one of my favorite types of coasters and Its just cool to see one that looks like Intamin knew what they were doing. Goliath: Although it looks like a pretty simple and bland layout, it will have alot of airtime and hopefully high G-Forces. Stealth: Yeah like I said, I love rockit coasters. Thats all I have for right now, but if I remember any Ill post em. Colin C -

Oh man where to begin. This season was by far my best to date. Well here it is: Busch Gardens Tampa Islands Of Adventure Universal Orlando Disney MGM studios Six Flags Great America Mt. Olympus Timber Falls Adventure Park Cedar Point Little A-Merikk-A Paramounts Kings Island My favorite park is a tie between SFGAm and CP, with Raging Bull and Milli being my two best coasters of the season (even though I have previously ridden MF). Okay, being the bored guy I am, I was looking through some videos and stuff when I got this great idea for a coaster game. Now, when I go to some parks I always remember some local store or shop that is close to the park. Now this is where that plays in, post a picture of that close-to-the-park store that lets you know your close and see if we can guess, well, which park its close to! Oh yeah one more thing, dont post another picture untill the previous picture has been correctly answered (the poster of the pic will have to say yes or no). Okay lets see how this works... Colin"A whole lotta close"C

Top Thrill Dragster Down again?
TheStig replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Humm thats really too bad as last week when I was there TTD was running really well. I do remember that every time it would break down its because only one break fin only raised halfway, and it was always the same fin. I have some video of it so lll try to get some pics of it. Colin C -
Best and Lamest Coaster "Ending"
TheStig replied to Teddymonster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My worst ending ride would have to be Raptor. Dont get me wrong, its not that I dont like the ending 200 feet of the ride, its just the headbanging transition to the break run that kills me! My god what were they thinking! The best ending of any ride is a tie between MF and Raging Bull. MF has speed and cool overbanked turn action, and RB has tight helix's and a little pop of airtime, plus if you have long arms, you can touch the car in front of you on the final break run. Colin C -
Well here it goes... My first concert was a backstreet boys concert. I was 10 and I did not know what I was doing! You may all laugh now.... Colin C

Okay this thread reminded me of "Lowered Expectations" from Mad TV. Now, I have a funny tale to share, so gather round and have a listen. At Coaster Con this year, me and my friends Jeff and Nolan were walking to Picnic Grove for the so called "appitizer" that night. There was a group of hot chicks in front of us and we followed them all the way to Picnic Grove (we are stalkers, sad isnt it?). It was at the time we realized they were ACErs! We were in shock! Okay Im done. Colin"BTW, Im still single"C

Nice pitures, and way I ask you something? WHERE DO THOSE BEARS KEEP COMING FROM?!?!?! Last time I was at PKI (in June) I was not really impressed with the park. I mean I was by myself and it kinda sucked that nobody I knew was there. Also Delerium was closed, and SOB didnt open till later in the day. It sucked. Colin C

I saw Transporter 2 on Sunday. It was okay, untill the airplane scene with the G3 (Gulfstream for the common man). It showed it taking off with the reverse thrust clam shells on, he somehow gets into the plane from the landing gear bay which is impossible on a G3, and the airplane puts itself into stalls (where you can hear the engines somehow power down when it stalls, then powers back up again, WTF?). Overall, its un realistic and the blond chick scared me a little, but eh it'll be a good rental! Colin C

Best coaster ride when raining
TheStig replied to verticalzero's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I rode TTD in the rain in front row! Never again will I be that stupid. It started to drizzle just as the breaks dropped, then downpoured about 3 seconds before it launched! Boy did it suck! Colin C -
Top Thrill Dragster POV video of roll back!
TheStig replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow that was both really crappy and really funny! It looked like it was early in the opening year as I think it only had 4 cars per train and the engine and wheel themeing was still there. Was really dissapointed me last week when I was at CP was the deep purple train that we rode on had a rollback the next launch! But when it rolled back, it almost topped out again! I swear it stayed on the top of the tophat for maybe 5 seconds or so! Oh well, after 20 rides I still havent gotten lucky yet... Colin C -
Where in the world ARE Robb & Elissa?
TheStig replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Portland Orgeon! I just remember that there was a coin toss between naming what is now Portland. The names were Boston and Portland. In other words, I haven't the slightest clue... Colin"maybe new england?"C
