  1. ^I respect your decision, but no one is looking for an argument here--or planning to rank rides that they haven't experienced.
  2. ^My impression was that she was already doing that. Well, on Universal via all her demands, anyway.
  3. Here's a first for BGW (from the Saturday, April 9 issue of the Daily Press).
  4. ^This filling was some grayish-green stuff, which made me think "kiwi" ( a fruit I don't care for). I liked the red sauce, though.
  5. I did try a chicken-and-mushroom pie from a Pie Face location--it was OK. I thought the Outback Spectacular pavlova was OK, too, but it would've been better without the strange filling (I think it was some sort of kiwi puree). I had pavlova last christmas at my niece's house, and it was quite a bit different. The Australian Hotel's pepper kangaroo pizza was pretty good.
  6. Same--if I went to, say, Oktoberfest, it'd be all about the coasters, fun houses, dark rides, and beer and food for me. This fair looks like "Flat Ride Heaven or Hell," depending on your taste (and stomach's tolerance).
  7. ^What? An outrage! Everyone knows that Lethal Weapon at Warner Bros. Movie World is the GREATEST COASTER OF ALL TIME!
  8. Motocoaster is OK, but the restraints are uncomfortable; Jet Rescue is much better.
  9. ^It didn't help that the park's new Aqua Loop slides were closed--along with their Tornado. (One side of the park was pretty much shut down; the Tornado looked like it hadn't been running for some time). Kamikaze was fun, as were the other slides, just nothing special.
  10. ^I'll second that. I've never been a big fan of lamb, but the BBQued lamb steaks at the Merimbula Comfort Inn were excellent.
  11. I was pleasantly surpirsed by the coasters in Australia: Jet Rescue was what KBF's Pony Express should've been, the Wild Mouse at Aussie World is completely insane, and Movie World has two very good coasters in Superman Escape and Scooby Doo (very nicely themed in addition to being solid rides). Buck up, Aussies--your parks are better than you may think.
  12. They will both be drop towers. Kind of hard to say, being as Mach Tower isn't ready yet. It isn't as tall as KD's, but it's taller than Griffon and is supposed to feature a revolving platform so all riders will enjoy the same great view. The park also mentioned some other "surprises," such as some sort of lighting package at the top of the tower. Time will tell.
  13. Just bought a set, too--Prince Desmond will rock my beer bottles!
  14. Much joy fills my heart to hear this amazing news!
  15. For me, Drop Tower is the best "flat" ride there, because I'm not into "spin-and-pukes." (The flyers are fun, too.)
  16. Be careful what you wish for--they might come back! From the old Smurf Mountain ride at Kings Dominion (now home to Volcano).
  17. ^Exactly. I've ridden I305 both pre- and post-trims and with both the old and new restraints--thought it was great every time. Well, when BGW starts building their new coaster, that will give enthusiasts something else to bitch about.
  18. Please leave the moderating to the moderators. While TPR's Terms of Service do call for proper grammar and spelling, we do make allowances for those for whom English is a second (or third) language and appreciate their efforts to post here. Besides, the English of those who are posting in this thread is far better than my German. We now return to your regularly scheduled topic: Hey, how about that Hansa Park?
  19. ^^Many people take themselves too seriously. I'm glad that I305 won as it's my favorite of the two, but would it have ruined my life if it hadn't? Hardly. ^I'm looking forward to riding Sky Rocket some day.
  20. ^It's a fine line. If someone from Disney hadn't been there, then Disney could've been labeled as "uncaring" or "callous." But, yes, it would depend on what the family wants.
  21. ^I'm not really sure why this would rate an "eye roll." Most likely, Disney would be slammed they had not spent some time at the hospital with the victim's family.
  22. Another Disney CM recently suffered a major injury due to an accident on the Primeval Whirl (from the Orlando Sentinel, March 13). Link to story.
  23. ^At least he's Japanese. I gave up watching TV news years ago.
  24. ^I thought Bill Nye was too busy shilling for Exxon at Epcot.
