I love Speed! And I hope to make it to MM someday. It would be perfect if I could someday get my re-ride on Speed while getting all the other credits Magic Mountain has to offer. It's too bad... Speed was defiantly the best coaster on the strip.
Gravity Max looks like it has an awesome layout though, that 90* drop into that underground tunnel. And if it is smooth, maybe... Maybe I could risk a re-ride. Still not sure how I feel about it.
Gawd, I need to do a cruise someday. Never thought I'd be into a cruise, but after this trip report my view on cruises has turned 180*. Wonderfully entertaining PTR!
My only concern is exactly how securely the train is kept on the tilt track... I see it looks like there is some sort of mechanical arm that swings out in front of the train and makes contact with the front bumber in addition to the friction brakes.
I'd take the credit, but I wouldn't push my luck with a re-ride.
^If the hotel was built in 1965, then it was at least standing 44 years before Ike took it out in 2008. Also, I'm no engineer... but I imagine building techniques have improved greatly since then. When another hurricane hits the damage may not be nearly as extensive.
I hope he makes the 108 mile journey to Legoland! If I was in Florida with a truck I'd take him there myself. I really love goofy stuff like this!
FREE LEONARD!
That video was almost as emotionally moving as Marley & Me, I really wanted to cry!
Sad to see a park abandoned, hopefully some of these rides will see new life in other parks. That S&S tower looks really cool!
