Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread
RomanHORSEman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I would think a Gertslauer Euro-Fighter like the Takabisha would be an excellent edition to CPs lineup. But that's just me. -
Kings Dominion (KD) Discussion Thread
RomanHORSEman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I like both parks pretty equally. I do think I305 is the best roller coaster I have ever ridden. But please don't burn me at the stake for not preferring one over the other! -
Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
RomanHORSEman replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I was wondering why there were so many children at Scarowinds when I went. I was looking forwards to going to an amusement park without tons of children. Unfortunately there were still tons of children. -

I've heard people at Carowinds call Intimidator boring because it doesn't go upside down at all and just goes over hills. Intimidator was awesome Too bad I greatly prefer i305 -
Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
RomanHORSEman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Maybe they're adding a drop tower next year and then the coaster in 2012? I really hope it's not a dive machine. I mean it wouldn't be too amazing other than the height but there are already two roller coasters with vertical/beyond vertical drops at HP. -
You guys should hit up Animal Kin......................I mean Mt. Olympus and ride Hades!

I live in Southwest Virginia. It kind of sucks. The closest amusement park to where I live (Radford), is Carowinds at about 2.5 hours away in Charlotte. Then Dollywood at about 3 hours away, then KD 3-3.5 hours away, BGW at 4 hours away, SFA is 4 hours away, HP is about 5, Kennywood is about 5 but I've never been. Cedar Point is the longest I've gone just for an amusement park at about 7 hours. The farthest amusement park from where I live that I've been too is amazingly: Six Flags Fiesta Texas which was the first Six Flags I've ever been too

What is your favorite launch coaster?
RomanHORSEman replied to EuroTre's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Mine would definitely be storm runner. Love the intense launch, airtime on tophat, airtime going into the best in-line twist on a roller coaster I have ever experienced. It's short but very very sweet. -

I hope they eventually build one at KD or Carowinds at least obviously not next year because they just finished bragging about their new skylines. I'd say KD more likely than Carowinds to get one cause of the airport if they even got one. -

If i wake up to four stratosoars tomorrow with none of them at KD or Carowinds I will be bummed for like an hour and then not care. -

Are there currently any rumors about KDs plans for 2011? I know its not a coaster for one thing for obvious reasons. Could KD eventually get Stratosoar? CF doesn't seem to be building any new coasters next year just a bunch of wind seekers..... -

Fun Time just made themselves look like the lamest amusement ride company in the business.....So you had a potential customer and they decided to go to somebody else so your gonna cry about it and sue the possible buyer of your ride? That sounds like a five year old girl crying over her little brother sucking on her barbies head. -

Hersheypark (HP) Discussion Thread
RomanHORSEman replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Screamscape reports Hershey is requesting to build something over 200ft but no higher than 350ft. However they say it's called "Attraction 2012" looks like next year isn't the year we've been waiting for. -

I also have to say Fahrenheit is definitely better than the other steel coasters other than storm runner. I love B&M inverts but Great Bear did nothing but give me the four standard inversions of inverted coasters without any huge inversion (cobra roll, batwing, etc.) and lots of straight track. I liked Talon better (I know it has the same inversions) because it just felt more intense with all the turns low to the ground. -
