Ashlee Simpson Video's: Which one is Better (worse)
memphish replied to Sir Clinksalot's topic in Random, Random, Random
^ Has the Hilton phonebook  -
They ARE Pop. See the album of the same name. Their work before that was fine, but after that album and everything since they should have been shot into the center of the sun....especially Bono. mmm now I'm craving Pepsi, and my U2 IPod....c'mon.

U2 - Please. Ashlee Simpson - You've lost... twice... get over it. You didn't get famous for being talented anyway; only for having a B-list celebrity for a sister. And everything above is true...even Aerosmith

Deodorize....TO THE XTREME!

Um, look up at my first post. I mentioned Fat Tire and Bier de Mars.

Best Songs for Coaster Videos
memphish replied to TheKid's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Use some Flaming Lips. A song I recently heard that would work well is Galvanize by the Chemical Brothers, off of Push the Button. -
The Bat looks like it was an awsome ride. It really is too bad that they couldn't have worked out the technical issues, as it looked really intense. I wish I could find some good pics of it. There are a couple of sites with construction pics.

Cliff's Adding THREE new Rides for 2005
memphish replied to crispy's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Nice. Those are solid additions. What kind of tower is that? -
^^ If you're going with Patron all you need is limes and some salt. Too bad is $100 for a bottle.

Nice. I wish I could find some good coaster wallpapers, but I haven't seen any that are 1280x1024 or higher.

Easily beaten by funnelling beer, through a funnel made from a gas can.* *Read: New unused gas can. Yes I have done it.

I still stand by my Heineken, but Pete's Wicked Strawberry Blonde is the best thing I've had in awhile. I am in love with that beer at the moment. If you're on the west of the Mississippi grab some of New Belgium's beers. Fat Tire is the most popular, but their seasonal beers are great. We got some Bier de Mars last week that was great. But for now I'm still stuck on Strawberry Blonde....mmm. WHY IS THIS THREAD STARTED ON A TUESDAY?

Waterparks, anyone?
memphish replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I love water parks personally. We used to have one here in Memphis, but it closed in the late 90's, and is now a empty lot / strip mall / self storage. Atleast this summer when I'm in Destin I can get a pass to Big Kahuna's. That place has gotten huge compared to what it was when I was a kid. The only bad part is that they filled in thier 3 chute slides and replaced them with 2 fiberglass slides that aren't nearly as good. They used to also have 2 speed slids with a red tube that went underground below them. They still have the tube, but they have cleared away the hill and built fiberglass replacements of the white speed slides, so now all three are suspended. That killed a little of the feel that side of the park had, but the new area is great and has basically doubled the size of the park. -

Quoted for truth. I just read an article that said Wayne was working with the producer of Yoshimi 5.1 to create a 5.1 mix of the Soft Bulletin. I can't wait to hear that album remixed.
-
The Flaming Lips Albums currently listening to: Clouds Taste Metallic If you've never listened to them pick up any of these albums. You wont be disappointed. Yoshimi Battles the Pink Robots* The Soft Bulletin Clouds Taste Metallic *This album is also sold as a combination CD/DVD-Audio. The DVD Audio mix is the best use of the technology I've ever heard with instuments swirling, moving from front to back, and even being audible above your head. If you have a 5.1 system pick this album up, its only $20 on amazon.

Can I get "This is what happens when you find a stranger in the Alps!"? Hooray for Comedy Central's Lebowski censoring ..I didn't want to contribute to the idea that people from TN can't come up with their own titles.

Word...Give me a shout when you come through here if you want. I haven't been to Libertyland in almost 2 years...I guess I need to support my local park again. I plan on spending my summer living on the beach in Destin, FL. Hopefully I'll get a chance to make it back to Holiday World in May. While in FL, I want to take a day or two and head back down to Tampa for Sheikra. If I got a chance to go to PA or the Dells before fall semester that would be great, but I don't have any real plans for that.

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
memphish replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Dania Beach Hurricane. Stopped by there on New Years Day of 2004 before making the 17 hour drive back from Miami after Phish New Years....Yeah its been awhile. EDIT: wow! I'm not sure how I forgot about the Thunderhead event from the past spring. Anyway mine was a double ride on Thunderhead. -
Sup, I'm Mike from Memphis. I used to read rmp, and cb. This is the first coaster related forum that hasn't made me want to stick thumb tacks in my eyes, after reading it for 5 minutes. Also I've been a fan of Robb's work for years. I look forward to spending time here with a more laid back, and obviously more entertaining group. *How about some Flaming Lips in a future video? EDIT: rrc. I've gotten my usenet groups confused also. It isn't my night apparently.
