Libertyland may be closing. Libertyland is operated by the Mid-South Fair organization, a non-profit group. The finance committee is rumored to make a recommendation to close the park, as the revenues have been steadily declining. Nothing is concrete, but this is what was just on the news tonight. Personally, I could see them closing the park, and only operating it during the midsouth fair. The park sits on the fairgrounds, with the fairs midway set up in Libertyland's parking lot. I don't see them tearing the park down as it would seem pointless to try and develop on the land until our Coliseum is torn down.
