  1. Well considering the amount they've taken down they''ll definitely be rebuilding some of the supports but I doubt a full column will be replaced...I also bet that the ride will be much lower to the ground at some parts of the ride than it used to be. Also in addition to the 95 degree banked turn there will probably be some 80-90 degree banked turns throughout a few other parts of the ride. Maybe I have my hopes and expectations a little too high, but I'm thinking it'll be one hell of a ride.
  2. Probably Prowler but I have yet to ride it, so I'd have to go with Mamba over Patriot. My "college home park" is Six Flags over Texas and Mr. Freeze is my favorite, and will be until Texas Giant reopens. Titan never was anything too special for me...I mean look at the first drop, how can it provide zero air time in the back seat?
  3. 1) The Zambezi Zinger at Worlds of Fun back in the day had an awesome tunnel at the end of the ride...though this is probably biased because it was my first coaster I can remember riding and now it is gone. 2) Space Mountain - the beginning and the end tunnels are actually tied for number 2...I touched the ceiling on the tunnel at the end of the ride last time... 3) Maverick 4) Sheikra That's all that I feel are worth posting.
  4. 1) The Intamin Drop Tower at Six Flags Great America (that's the one in Chicago right?) - it was tall and that drop was insaaaane. 2) Tower of Terror at WDW - the theming really, really adds to it...I remember back when it just used to be one drop and it would still probably be my #2. 3) Dr. Doom's Fearfall - theming adds to it again, and I always get really good air at the top after the first launch. 4) Drop Zone at Carowinds (was that the right name?) - Love these kinds of drop towers, they scare me every time. 5) Demon Drop 6) Superman at SFoT - I liked the combo idea, and it is pretty tall too. 7) Power Tower (red) The worst was probably the blue side of the Power Tower...it was kind of scary waiting for the drop but Demon Drop's smaller drop was way more exciting.
  5. Out of what I have ridden: 1) Maverick - Blew my mind, my second ride was at night in the front seat and it was absolutely insane. 2) Millennium Force - Pretty good ride, I love the size and the speed but it still doesn't beat Maverick. 3) Magnum - I had a great ride last time I rode it, lots of airtime. 4) Wicked Twister - I rode in the back seat last time I was there I loved it. It actually goes pretty fast and the spiral up the back tower was awesome. 5) Raptor - I love a good B&M invert and that last helix was a great end to the ride. 6) Mantis - Sort of a disappointment, but still a fun ride. 7) Gemini 8) Iron Dragon - what a boring ride... 9) Disaster Transport - lol wut? 10) Mean Streak - the most boring coaster I've ever ridden. I rode it back in 2003 in the back seat. There was no airtime on any hill, it was slow and I decided I would never ride it again. I did not get to ride Top Thrill Dragster last year on opening weekend because the train couldn't make it over the hill on the first launch, but it did every time on the second launch. It was closed for at least 2-3 hours that day...I wanted to ride so I could get a roll back, but they loaded 2-4 people on each train and I would have had to wait 5 hours to ride - which one of my friends did do. It was a huge disappoint for me, but I am glad I went and rode other rides.
  6. I've only ridden both Gwazi's and Ozark Wildcat. Overall I thought Gwazi was a hell of a lot more exciting, and the roughness really didn't bother me that much, but the ride could use new trains (and I haven't ridden since '08). I think I liked the Tiger side more back in the day even though they're almost the same, but the last 3 times I've been to BGT they've only been running Lion. I will have to agree with the poster above me though that when I ride Prowler this summer my number one GCI woodie will change.
  7. 1. Hulk's zero-g roll 2. Manta's pretzel loop 3. Montu's Batwing The zero-g roll is my favorite overall. I think IOA is home to the 2 best zero-g rolls with Hulk's being better, but Ice Dragons is pretty sweet in the fact that it's dueling.
  8. 1. Montu 2. Raptor 3. Ice Dragon 4. Fire Dragon 5. Top Gun
  9. Worlds of Fun & Six Flags Fiesta Texas, both could use another great coaster. I felt so strongly about both that I joined the forums just to post this
