  1. then yeah, you'll process it before you go in. and even if you get a little lost when you get there, they will be happy to point you in the right direction.
  2. depends on which of the parks you are talking about, but regardless, you won't pay an additonal admission to the park. some parks still have their SP processing inside the park, others have it outside the park. getting a season pass encourages you to come back, tricky marketing tool.
  3. Prince Desmond seems to be in line behind me as well
  4. I'm in line with TPR people, the claw is motoring around, first time I've been in line with TPR people, I'm stoked, somewhat.
  5. ^^^ That's fantastic, I can't believe someone actually did it, I am, however, a little mad they didn't call me before they flew
  6. ^^ You should see if they will trade Traincrossing - that was totally clawsome! Thanks for taking the time to give us a virutal tour, I'm waiting for payday, but I'm going after a shirt and coin, if for nothing else, to show them some love for letting me play with their huge toy.
  7. ^^ They took out a few elements and added some kick ass ones, like those massive overbanks! Ring Ring RM: "Rocky Mountain Coaster's how may will help you?" CF: "This is Mr. Kinzel calling, you know, from Cedar Fair? And we have a few rides for you to look at" RM: "Sure Mr. Kinzel, we would be very happy to assist you. Can you provide me with a few details please" CF: "Yes, we have several for you to look at, we have Grizzly at CGA which needs a re-profiling, we have Son of Beast at KI that needs a tremendous amount of assistance, Hurler at Kings Dominion could use an ASSessment, and also if you wouldn't mind looking at Mean Streak at CP, we've tried to burn it down, but it just won't go. If you could start there that would be fantastic." RM: Yes, I understand sir, anything else?" CF: "Oh, I'm sorry, I forgot Ghostrider at Knott's Berry farm, your overlay track looked quite impressive at IAAPAAAA this year" RM: "No problem sir, when would you like us to start ASSessing your rides?" CF: "Last Year"
  8. Sounded like steel, looked smooth like steel, it must be steel! I'm ready!
  9. Tha Claw's back online again!!! I was first in line after the maintenance, lost, got back in line, already 43 people there, in 3 minutes since it's been up, 120 people have gotten in line!! edit: The live feed is down
  10. My co-worker sent me this from the morning where the skateboard got stuck in the claw. He said eventually it fell out, but when it went to initally drop the board, it hung on for dear life! LMAO
  11. It looks like the track is misaligned.... I know I know, I'm a smart ass
  12. back in line for grandma, 7 hours to go.
  13. ^^ I see some great potential in that
  14. 6 shootings and counting today in my little okiehoma town, guess the gang bangers are celebrating a holiday of some sorts???
  15. ^ you know, I just glanced and went on, on second look, you're right
  16. ^^ It too was one of my favorites at the park, too bad it wasn't kept up better, but it seemed that was the case for several rides throughout the park in the later years. I watched them load up the gondola of fury, not sure where it ran off to, but as old as it was, 1998 I think, it *should* have been paid for. Sadly, it had been badly beaten up over the years with at least two places on the center of the gondola looking like someone had punched it. I'm sure that would not have been a cheap fix. He says on the local news he has 24 rides in storage "ready". I remember them having about 36 rides, their ads said 50 rides/attractions. Doing some quick math of the items that most likely wouldn't return, that number seems reasonable. Rides that probably wouldn't come back in their original form, or at all include: Zingo, Himalaya, 4x4, Phantasmagoria, Turnpike, 2 water tube rides, bumper boats, Mind Melt, Sea Gulls, White Lightning would be questionable, and the childrens bumper cars were damaged in the winter storm the month they got their walking papers. With the wacky paint job on the tilt-a-whirl if it shows up somewhere next year, we'll be able to pick it out instantly.
  17. So here we are at what I call the main storage and off site maintenance facility for what was once Bell's Amusement Park. You will see that quite a few items are now missing, granted, the ones that are missing (food trailer, random structures) were pretty much tore up by vagrants over the years and wouldn't be surprised if they didn't meet their maker. One thing of note, I drove by this morning without camera in hand. I noticed that the gates were open between two of the storage buildings, (of which I've not ever posted pictures of as some of the items belong to a business next door), where the tilt-a-whirl cars were being stored. When I returned to take a few pictures, wham, the cars are gone. Clearly they are cleaning up, moving, or selling more off. Also, don't expect any shots of the lumber yard (Zingo), the local news media has made it clear on several occasions that the location is "undisclosed", so, I will honor that and not post or take pictures from that site. Finally, I will do some comparison photos to more or less show that the Himalaya going into Lakemont is indeed the same. So, here goes 1 year ago today ok, so on to the himalaya. See the green trailer on the right? head on shot this was taken this past summer, notice the trailer missing And here is the photo Philrad took in his Lakemont Post Same trailer

    Illegal Credits

cha-ching, I'd count it. I've been to a few parks that I've explained to the ride-op or supervisor what I do for fun, and that getting a cheesy credit would make my day, and they laugh and say get on. They have then proceeded to laugh during and after my ride of which I think they are laughing with me and not at me.
  19. its been fixed !! *edit - From their facebook
  20. just got in line, only 3:30 to go, hoping someone will come in and pour some drano down the chute.
  21. I suppose I will stick with tradition and rank Grizzly-CGA at the bottom, I think there are a few others that are worse, but, afterall, it's tradition.
  22. Being able to break in Superman would be well worth the $53 admission price. Heck you can't get a gold flash pass for that price. While I've attended less expensive park events, I've also gotten at lot less at some of them. I will happily pay the $63 (Gotta have a shirt!) and eat the provided meals, grab a photo, a few tours, and whatever else they pitch our way with a gigantic smile on my face! I will be in a bitch free zone. **Edit: Speaking of flash passes, I knew you could add X2 onto the pass for $15, but I thought at any level. Their website says you can only add it on only with a Gold or Platinum pass. That would $84 on a Gold minus $$ off for season pass. Wowsers! Has it always been that way? My mind isn't as sharp as it used to be.
