  1. ^^The back half of the station is still wider than the loading side. Pete
  2. This is great! I play RCT2 all the time and didn't know you could do this, even with the trainer. This will help when space is limited for a full station. Thanks! Pete
  3. I don't really car about the yellow rails but I do hope they keep the sheild shaped tunnels. Those look pretty cool! Pete
  4. If I'm not mistaken, doesn't Magnum leave the park boundaries and go over the perimeter road? I haven't been to CP in over 12 years and don't really have a stake in there next coaster but if they've done it once, they surely can do it again. Just a thought...
  5. I too like how the entrance is under the lift hill. Very cool. Pete
  6. Last year during Fright Fest while waiting inline for Batman, numerous times a train was dispatched before the second train was stopped on the transfer block. Heck, the train I was on didn't stop at all. We slowed down in the brakes and advanced all the way into the station. This day was the first time I've ever seen that on this ride. Pete
  7. ^That last one is one of the funniest things I've seen in a while! What are the odds of catching that?
  8. Millennium Force works ok without a MCBR and XL200 seems to work with what is essentially no MCBR, only at the end there. It's definitely possible and also, I wouldn't be surprised to see no MCBR on this ride if any of the layout predictions are right. Would anyone here be surprised if they only built it to run two trains? Just some thoughts... Pete
  9. I've never sailed on Carnival but allow me to offer my sisters perspective. Her and her boyfriend took their first cruise on the Carnival Magic. They came home raving about how great it was. They then sailed with us on NCL Dawn last January and have since said they much prefer NCL. Now that they experienced NCL, they felt the Carnival experience wasn't as good. I sailed on Royal Caribbean before NCL and I gotta say, NCL doesn't even come close to the experience and service of RC. So I would put NCL above Carnival but below RC based on these experiences. Again, I have never sailed on Carnival but definitely felt like a downgrade going from RC to NCL, where my sister felt NCL was an upgrade over Carnival. Pete
  10. Wouldn't it be funny if all of these markings were part of their game to throw everyone off and get fans in an uproar? Doubtful, but a thought nonetheless. Pete
  11. Can anyone enlighten me on what the wheel wetters are and they're purpose on Titan? I've never seen or heard of these before. Thanks! Pete
  12. I've sailed on Liberty of the Seas which is a Freedom Class ship. Not ever did I think Oasis was that much bigger. Just crazy! Pete
  13. Ya know, I'll be honest...I wasn't too excited about this area especially knowing it's going to be a little small and only include one new attraction but that video got me pretty excited to check it out! Mission accomplished Universal marketing team! Pete
  14. The Epic really is an odd looking ship. Definitely not as graceful looking as some of RCCL's bigger ships but I guess that's not what they're going for. My wife and I have only been on two cruises, first on RCCL's Liberty of the Seas and then on the Norwegian Dawn. Cruising in general is a great vacation but sailing on NCL after having sailed RCCL, just makes you want to only sail with RCCL. The freestyle concept wasn't anything out of this world because as it's been said I feel that the service at the meals definitely lacks. We don't plan on sailing again with NCL anytime soon but would like to try out the Disney Dream in a couple of years. Other than that, I think we plan on being "Loyal to Royal" as they say. Just some thoughts.... Peter
  15. ^We've experienced the same problem with the team members operating the Hurricane. You always feel like you're inconveniencing them. It's important to note though that the people running the Hurricane are not actually Boomers employees. The Hurricane is owned and operated by an outside vendor. They split their revenue with Boomers. So, while the guest service often sucks on the Hurricane, we can't actually blame Boomers for the poor service. Pete
  16. My guess would be simply park preference. Some parks surely would prefer a catwalk on both sides as where others don't see it necessary, therefore saving money in the process. Great question though! I'm really curious as to the real explanation. Pete
  17. Hey, great report! I've always wanted to see some pictures of the different types of rides this park offered and you provided that greatly! Looks like a fun park that I'd try to visit if I'm ever out that way. Thanks! Pete
  18. This company is going to put such a squeeze on the Kennywood parks that eventually service is going to fall and then everything that comes with it. Mark my words, yes the same management will be in place but they will be put in positions where it's almost impossible for them to run their parks the way they have been and should be. This company exemplifies corporate America. They're gonna demand blood from a stone. Just my thoughts..... Pete
  19. I have never been to Magic Mountain but from everything I hear, its about time! I know the fault cannot necessarily be blamed on the old GM for some of the parks downfalls, but there needs to be a change of thinking as to how to run the park with what you're given. Like coasterdude5 said, new ideas and strategies will go a long way to help the park. Pete
  20. Nice pictures! That was really awesome of him to give you that tour. I visit Fort Lauderdale every year and always take a trip to the DB Hurricane. As for Uncle Bernies, that place is scary yet so funny. I actually have ridden the Log Flume and felt safe on it but that place is scary. Thanks for the pics! Pete
  21. Haven't you all heard?! It's a new element that Premier is coming out with where you jump the track! Pete
  22. I too live on Long Island and the latest buzz I am hearing is that it won't be closing anymore. Apparently the town wouldn't rezone the property for the proposed condos. I now here that they're looking to put some money back into the place and upgrade the arcade. Personally, I don't like the place too much but the coaster had my girlfriend and I laughing. Pete
  23. You might not think that if you rode it last year. LOL. It was horrible last year. You had to walk the second half of it. Pete
  24. I was at the park on both 8/18 and 8/19. On both days it was closed all day. There was no sign of activity around the ride either. Pete
