  1. I just got back from a 5 night trip in Fort Lauderdale and again visited Boomers! just to ride the Hurricane. This truely is a great coaster and it was just a good as I remembered it from the year before. Well worth the $10 unlimited band. Like Robb, it's in my top ten, or top five even. As a park, Boomers has also cleaned up very nicely adding a few new kiddy rides. Great trip and glad to hear others continue to discover it! Pete
  2. With Palace Entertainment (Boomers' Operator) recently sold, anything is possible for the future of this park. Pete
  3. Thanks for the pics! The park is looking great! I really like the new water ride compared to the old log flume. I'll definately be making a few trips up there this summer. Pete
  4. Great pics! I have very similar ones of GASM. I took the tour of GASM and Rolling Thunder at Coaster Celebration IV in 1999. I really wish they would bring the tours back, they were great. Pete
  5. Definately Grizzly @ PKD especially at night! Back when I rode it before The Hurler and Hypersonic, it was outrageously good. Haven't ridden it in almost 8 years now, hope its still as good. Pete
  6. The Coney Island Cyclone usually opens for the season near the end of March. So no, it's not currently open to the public. Pete
  7. One ride I would never ride are those Vekoma tilt coasters. I don't know if any have ever been built, but I sure wouldn't trust Vekoma or a coaster in general that much. Pete
  8. For me, the bridge isn't a laziness issue it's a convenience issue. Will I walk around?...Of course I will, but the bridge just made it much easier and also allowed for a quick stroll watching the turtles in the river. I will wait to pass judgement about the bridge until the section is open and we give it a go. I can see why people would be upset without it because the pathways in the new section don't look to be any wider than the Golden Kingdom, which when it was full, it was very hard to get through. For now, let's have faith that the park knows what it's doing. Pete
