yeap... I jumped... I get so angry with those TV programs where those scared chickens win prizes if they overcome there fair and make a jump (or ride a coaster). They get the fun for free and win prizes while I would keep on paying to jump... :? Maybe I should start pretending to be scared of stuff and have people sign me up for those programs... It would save me money on my wierdness and I migh even win some prizes... Only Goofing around... but still...

For me the express passes are a must have. I will only be there for two nights (maybe 3) and with the time already lost on waiting for your FEAR Pass (of peak nights) I need to make up in time.... So, express passes it is. I might even buy multiple passes per day.... You can never be scared enough on those days (or enjoy all the scared people around you)... for me a big yes to express passes... I know it's still about 6 months away... but I am so exited

Halloween Horror Nights Dates speculation (1 park Only?) Looking at the dates on the official site following dates could be for the HHN October 2005 Sat 1st Fry 7th Sat 8th Sun 9th Thu 13th Fri 14th Sat 15th Sun 16th Thu 20th Fri 21st Sat 22nd Sun 23rd Thu 27th Fri 28th Sat 29th Sun 30th Mon 31st Looking at the opening times in Universal Studios, only Ioa Closes at 05:00 (up to now the park closed at 5 when HHN event was on in the evening) With that in mind I can see it either going back to IoA only… Or linked to US (that would open later in the evening) The dates do look OK. However I do not understand why no more days (like Wednesday) Or at least the last two weeks with some more days. However… with those dates up I will be able to go 2 nights for sure. 27th and 30th. Maybe I could push in a 31st, but that will depend on the ticket (will this be on the Fear pass as it is Halloween night itself?) I arrive in Orlando on the 23rd, however would not make it to the park before 7 – 8 PM… and after 9 hours in a plain, not sure if I will go for that… I guess 2 visits are better then no visits at all… I’ll try for three… but no way am I paying extra for a Friday or Saturday Peak Night ticket. See you there

If you were a movie, what would you be rated?
Ghost replied to maliboomer's topic in Random, Random, Random
In Belgium we have only two. Children allowed Children not allowed (-16) and we don't have any of those censorschip groups... However... In US terms I would be an R-rated one... Even if I behave most of the time, in some countries I would be censored and some would not show me at all.... -
Disney and Universal Thread
Ghost replied to Coasters 4 ever's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Most people who know my even a little bit know I am a Disney Geek. I live, breeth, think and talk Disney park the whole day long. So a visit to WDW had to happen. And it did in 2002, then again in 2003 and will be again this year for 14 days... If it wasn't for Disney I might nover have seen the doors of IoA and US. Just to point something out though. I love coasters and looked at lots of info on the making of IoA... but still ... Disney "took" me there. Sort of that is... I was there with my family (Mother, Father, Me, my wife and son, My brother, his wife and his three children)... I convinced them to go during a day time visit because I wanted to know what Halloween Horror Night was all about on that evening.... Now I am in love with IoA... (and mostly the HHN event) Don't make me choose... WDW will winn, but I guess in this case you can eat from two plates My next visit; 14 days on Disney resort (prices of US and IoA hotel WAYyyyy to high)... I will be at Halloween Horror Night again this year and will love it. Se even if my choice would be WDW all the way. I did plan our next visit in October so I could experience HHN again... Now if you don't like one of them. Bashing it is never the right way to go. Because you don't like it doesn't make it a bad place. (just something I wanted to add) Enjoy your ride in the next park you visit... -
It has been a while since I have been on Robin Hood. I have been on Loup-Garou (weerwolf) when it just opened (rollercoasterfriends visit) and liked it. Was a good coaster with some great airtime on it.... But (yes there is a but)... I was there last year and was very suprised how rough it is compared to when it opened... Still good though, and not as bad as their steel coasters... but rough....

Your 2005 Travel Plans - Where are you going?
Ghost replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
HALLOWEEN ORLANDO TRIP (sorry I shouted that one out but I am very excited about this one) HHN in IoA and US (or wathever park they will have it in if not both this year) A lot of Disney and Discovery Cove. the rest of the year. Disneyland Resort Paris (as many times as I can make it over there but with my Orlando trip coming up I don't think I'll be there with my normal average of 10 times a year) Disneyland Resort Paris New Year Celebration... tradition is hard to break I might be running into some people at some European parks like Bobbejaanland... I need to go to Walibi World this year... And a visit to Phantasialand is also on my wish list. If I make it and they have a Halloween event, I'll be visiting Movie World in Germany too this year... See you in the parks... -

Ghost replied to Ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
We are checking in on a Sunday. I'll check this before I pay, but I think the price are the same when checking in on a Monday. But thank you for pointing that out, so I will double check on that before putting down the deposite I admit. I do have the Birbaum one as it is a nice book.... The book mentioned above is on my to buy list though.... thanks for the extra tips. Keep them coming. -

Orlando Visit October November:
Ghost replied to Ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
My son is not scared of anything it seems (I am lucky)... He is to small to go on the extreme roller coasters but when we checked last time how many inches he has to grow he got very exited as it isn't far of anymore before he can start rides like R'nR coaster... with that said... he won't be scared of the Dolphins either and is very exited about that too (even if it is still 6 months away) I check the dates a couple of weeks ago a and it is not on when we are there. I guess that will be for another day I can't believe I didn't think about that one myself... I will look into that as Bush Garden has been on my list of parks I would love to visit. Didn't think it would get on my list of parks I'll do during this visit. thanks for the tip! I would love to put they are to high priced! with already $1800 in flight tickets alone I'll be going for something less expencive. Sorry Universal but you have to get some cheaper rooms if you want me to stay onsite. I wanted to stay for the first night as we arrive around 17:00 at the airport. If we would have booked for a Universal hotel I would have made it for the HHN that night! but, like I said... price is to high... I will be visiting HHN on some other days during my stay. Past thru it with the Monorail.... might look into that... thanks for the tip thanks for all these and your other tips... PEOPLE PLEASE keep those comming our way... can't wait and still 6 weeks to go... -
Orlando Visit October November:
Ghost replied to Ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
ThanX Elissa, this was some good help for me... I guess I should try to stay away from Expedia. At this time I am also checking with http://www.wdwvacations.com/ and see what they can do for me. They are linked from the mousesavers site and looks like they are realy good... So it will either go via them (anybody has some experience) or direct with WDW... Thank you to all for the help. and see you in WDW -
Orlando Visit October November:
Ghost replied to Ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Hi all... I have some more questions to get to the next stage of booking... Could any of you let me know when you book with Disney Direct when the payment is due? Is it done during booking? 1 month in advance? I also noticed that Expedia.com is cheaper then direct WDW booking? I seen a difference of about 20%. How come Expedia is cheaper? how do they do this? And in case I would order via Expedia, I have the same question as above? When is payment due? Needing a room for 23th october (14 nights). When should I book the room? Is it save to wait a couple of weeks, even months, or should I book as soon as possible. Still over 6 months but I would not want to miss out having a room onside. ThanX for all your help everybody. -
Orlando Visit October November:
Ghost replied to Ghost's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
thank you for the replies so far... some answers will influence my bookings... (Now don't start being and give me bad tips... hahaha I love that place. I ate there in 2003 (my last Halloween visit)... a great place We would love to stay at the Animal Kingdom Lodge, but with the flight tickets already putting is back a good $2400, there is not much left for comfort. I guess we will have to go for the $99 a night rooms at the resort... I won't complain about it though... Even if I would love to stay at the AKL, we will not see our room to much... just to sleep... I will visit AKL for a meal and a walk around anyway... More TIPS always welcome.... -
YES… flights are booked. We will be at Orlando in October/November. WDW, Mickey’s, not so scary Halloween party, Halloween Horror Nights and more… But to start planning the rest of the trip, here some questions… 14 days in Florida, WDW on site. Would it be a better option to get an AP and then book a room? What would be the WDW AP discount? If I book room only at WDW, will I still get the privilege to enter the park early? My son will be 6 years old. Is swimming with the Dolphins at Discovery Cove a good Idea? How far in advance do you have to book into the Kennedy Space center to see a launch. There will be one on 28/10? Is it worth the extra trip? What do we need to know and what do we need to do… More questions soon… But thanX for everybody for helping me out here.

Isn't Disney saying (somewhere) that the Hong Kong people are more exited about meeting the characters, taking walks and having picture moments..... ??? I Don't know about that. It will be something to look out for and see what happens. If there are not enough E-Ticket rides, will the people stay away? Or will Disney be right and will the park be packed from day one (it seems that the bookings are going well...) If you haven't seen the pictures yet, chek them out http://www.dlp.info/Guide/News-And-Rumours/Specials/HongKong-Disneyland-Construction-01.asp (I know this was a cheap shot at a plug to the page, but come on.. we are so proud... give us that...)

The picture I have seen (somewhere on the web and in a Roller Coaster Magazine called First Drop) are amazing... If this becomes reality I will be going there to check it out...

How obsessed are you?
Ghost replied to coasterdude5's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think many of my friend and family think I am obsessed and extreme. I life for it. I get up with it and go to bed with it. (metaphor)... Mostly my odsession is related to the Disneyparks... but also Rollercoasters. It is so bad that I dream about Orlando all the time... My next trip is planned (october - to take care of my other obsession - Halloween and Haunts)... I only talk about those things (while others talk about sports and world events).... Yeah, most think I am wierd, a child, will never grow up.... and no doctor that can find the cure..... Pretty obsessed. :? -
Hi all... Me being the Disney addict that I am I vist my "home park" Disneyland Resort Paris about 10 times a year. I guess many on this board might go for a closer park, like WDW or DL... And we all know some people here who have been to the Japan based Kingdom.... With the Hong Kong park opening soon are there any of you planning a visit to that one. I know I would love to... but I guess the $$$ would put the stops to that... So how about you guys (and girls) And to just give you a little boost you can check some pictures (some exclusives) on this link. http://www.dlp.info/Guide/News-And-Rumours/Specials/HongKong-Disneyland-Construction-01.asp (hope it's OK to add this here)

Your five favorite amuesment park pictures
Ghost replied to Stitch's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think we should change the name of the topic to "Try to beat that picture"... On the other hand, who is going to beat that picture, resulting the topic going to be lost... OK, Only Goofing around... But I do think it would be a good Idea for next year Calendar.... With all the things I am saying here I guess they'll try to avoid me when visiting Belgium.... And I was going to offer a free tour and coffee...
