  1. I've always been quite the fan of themed parks over "A bunch of rides on aspahlt parks" (AKA Cedar Point). This point is proven in parks like Busch Gardens, or Disney (two obvious examples). I always stand by sacrificing the coaster/ride count for additional entertainment, foilage, scenary, etc, etc. I think a park like this could be extremely successful. They should just keep ticket prices at a reasonable level until they have the necessary funds to expand (cough, cough Hard Rock/ Freestyle Park). Thus far, this place looks pretty sweet. Kudos!
  2. Obviously it's not something Kings Island 'chose' to do. They were kind of forced into it. I really did enjoy Nick Universe, and I will definately miss it. I suppose change is good. I need to get back to this park, and ride The Beast again, although I've heard that the trim brakes are killing the ride.
  3. Having been to Cedar Point three or four times, I feel that a ride like this was a must for their lineup. This could just be me, but when I go there, I ride only the coasters, mainly because they have little to offer outside of that realm for thrill seekers. This is the only 'non-coaster' ride that is thrilling, and family-orientated at the same time. Also, it won't make me dizzy or sick! I'm extremely excited to see the finished project.
  4. Ugh, I'm really slacking off now. Only a 11/20. Some of the questions were a tad bit ridiculous for my taste, but a challenge is always nice!
  5. Gardaland... Firstly, where is that located? More importantly, I have a roller coaster book from, eh, 2008. It mentions the idea of a screaming squirrel prototype. I'm assuming the coaster shown in the picture is the final product of the screaming squirrel? Like a wild mouse that flips you upside down.
  6. This place looks amazing. The coaster mentioned above... Any specs out there as of now? Speed, height, etc. Anything at all? It doesn't look too, too thrilling, but I was just curious. This section looks amazing, and it is enough to make me want to visit this park for the first time. I just hope there hasn't been too much hype for the place to live up to.
  7. The idea of the wristbands is still used at Fun Fore All in Cranberry, PA today. It's called a 'Fun Card'. I wouldn't mind the Cash-Less system. Technology is improving and customers are demanding innovation. Waldameer is taking a step forward by innovating through the rides, and now in the system. I really wish I would get a chance to visit this place. It has always seemed like a nice park. As for the Flying Carousel, these things are becoming staples and it is wonderful to see this park add it to their ever-growing lineup.
  8. Well, being another Pittsburgh resident, I agree that it would fit well. It just doesn't seem logical. They are building a new coaster for the upcoming season. To make a second one in two years, would make this park a lot more recognized. It would set the wrong idea. Kennywood is 'Family-Orientated'. A coaster was well due, and we are getting one. I don't see us getting a second one. Land would also be an issue. The piece of land that the old management bought would not fit with what we are seeing here, as far as I know.
  9. Considering I've only been to 15 parks, and not a single one out of the country, a 13/20 isn't bad. Way too many photo reports for me!
  10. I'm only 16 at the moment (male), but I wish to join you on a TPR trip hopefully the summer after I graduate. I would be 18. Would it be hard making friends, etc? Id be bringing a friend that also loves roller coasters (she is a girl). I just want to understand what it would be like on the social aspect. I've noticed few girls go on these (still some). I want to have a good time, and I want her to as well. Oh, as a side note, are co-ed rooms allowed? I mean the two of us wouldn't really have anyone else to room with and we are just friends. Thanks so much, and I'm a big fan of this site and all you guys do!
