Saw Sucker Punch. Like its name, it pack quite a whopper. This movie i one of those 'eye of the beholder' movies. You may like or hate it. I found it entertaining. But I do see what the critics are seeing. The movie has many flaws. one-dimensional characters, a simplistic storyline that relies on complex elements to relate a physiological message... I miss the days when movies like this were simple to understand, like Avatar!

It actually looks shorter to me that I though it would look like... Me would like one shipped to KD asap!

^Usually, from what Ive seen, when KD maintenance does a retracking on a coaster, they don't do the entire coaster, just the section that need it. Like how the tunnel section and turn needed it. I don't think KD maintenance has ever retracked an entire ride in one off season...

This would be awesome to go to if I didn't live 20 hrs away.

Loch Ness Monster at BGW on Sat, March 18th

I was there for two hours today and whew! it was packed! But, the park staff did a marvelous job of maintaining swift operations. I got a ride each on Apollo, Griffon and Loch Ness Monster. Each line was around 20 to 30 mins long. I was proud of what BG managed to put together for today's event. Now onto the new Oktoberfest. I say new because the area has changed significantly. New colors. New shelters and buildings. There are many changes to the way the walkways work. The area next to the Der Marketplace walk-through has been opened up as a pathway. Oktoberfest feels more like a single are than the two separate areas that it use to feel like. I will say the area is still incomplete. Mach Tower is still only 6-inches off the ground and the Beir garden is built but incomplete. Of note, I saw two men "touring" the BBW area from the entrance to the Festhaus Park. Speculate away. \

^though I am no expert, It looked like the set up they had for the cables currently was temporary. I expect some type of arm extension to be put on each side of the two towers in question of lowering instead of shorter towers. Hope that made sense.

^I do agree with your statement that theming doesn't make good coasters. This has probably been said plenty of times, but, appropriate levels of theming can also make a coaster. Personally. I probably wouldn't regard Griffon as high as I do without its small but intricate theming to 18th/19th century France. Soundtracks and sound effects are gimmicky and wasteful in my opinion. SFMM was smart in removing the terminator soundtrack. After hearing what is being played on the Bizarros... I don't know what Six Flags was thinking with them. Thematic elements like tunnels and headchoppers and object the coaster must flyby are fine with me but sometimes the Parks go too far.
