The "Say Something Random" Thread
Midgetman82 replied to robbalvey's topic in Random, Random, Random
Call me crazy, but I came to think that Toyota commercial about roller coaster brakes creating energy has a point, though sounds very expensive. -
(BTW, I agree on the Jesus thing!)Holy boat batman, that thing is HUGE! 'twss' Unfortunately due to how people like to find exciting things when an exorbitant project is finished, and since this doesn't seem to have many exciting things other than a life-sized Noah's Ark complete with a petting-zoo, aviary, and other historical structures, I don't think many people will donate. Anybody have $5000 laying around, they need a plank. Don't get me wrong, if this finishes then I wouldn't mind driving up to see it someday... but... I don't think it will get finished. And from what I hear will be in this so called "park", it seems more like a zoo to me.

Complete edit: They will not have the coaster version of the Unicoaster, they will have the flat ride instead (Round Ride Unicoaster)... whoopse, my bad. I really with they could have two different names when I googled it. Here is the website of the different kinds of Unicoasters available: http://www.usthrillrides.com/unicoaster.html

Where in the World is Robb & Elissa???
Midgetman82 replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think lakeparks got it first on here, and someone else probably got it even before on Facebook. I would have said Dubai, but then I refreshed the page. -
I also wonder how much the price for admission would be. This does look like a park that is in a great location and will attract a lot of people, but the price to enter might drive them away. People pay to go to Disney World, Sea World, Universal, Aquatica, and all those other parks because they know that they have something special in them thats makes them quality parks. What would it look like if a Six Flags park opened in Orlando? (I am not comparing Orlando Thrill Park with Six Flags)

I think I'm going to faint... This IS an RCT player's dream come true. I don't think I've ever seen such a large variety of great rides come to one park before. I would love to see how this goes, if it does go well than it could possibly be one of the best amusement parks in Orlando, because so far it looks the most thrilling! It seems they just hand picked the best choices of rides, That's a very gutsy move in my opinion.

TR: Saudi Arabia and Dubai - Wild Wadi and Sega Republic
Midgetman82 replied to Rastuso's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
I loved my visit to Dubai back in July 2009, but I went to the Atlantis Aquaventure instead of Wild Wadi. Wild Wadi looks great, if I ever go back I'll be sure to visit this water park, thanks for the report. -
What are you thankful for...

Strong hope by Ed Hart in Kentucky Kingdom opening, everything on Theme Park Review, and new elements for wooden coasters and water slides. I can't really think of anything else. -
They can add more water to the chute to slow you down before you go overboard. Proslide's Topsy Turvey slides have bumps in them to slow down riders before they go too fast into the element. I really like the Constrictor idea because that large tunnel tight turn will produce some weird G's; I know because the last turn on Omaka Rocka in Aquatica has one of them (sorta) and I thought it pulled some weird G's.

Well, SF wanted to run a good park and, at the same time, keep themselves above the waters when it came to paying the bills. On the bright side, Six Flags did leave a great water park and I noticed there was more greenery in the park than there used to be in the early 2000's; but that's just little stuff I noticed. They did that?

^^Straight from a bowl into a tornado? The Abyss seems like it could hold more people which I think is good since you aren't sitting in a hole but a whole raft. I like this idea for WhiteWater since it gives them a bigger variety of interesting water slides. Would I call this innovative, yes, because it's showing that the companies are stepping into the right direction with their slides to soon create better slides. Proslide started out with the Probowl (body bowl slide), then they came out with one that has an inner-tube friendly exit and went from there to create the Cannon Bowl, Behemoth Bowl, and Bullet Bowl.
