Well, they are similar in that they're both made by B&M. That must be what they meant. Hell, I would give them credit if they figured out that the two are both made by the same company based on their track shape.
It would be nice if that was true but sadly they are just dumb.
They would have to get a permit etc. from the city for a new ride wouldn't they? Maybe someone could investigate that, it may hold a clue to what they are planning.
If it is a spinner then a name reflecting that would make sense. Such as...
Vortex
Cyclone
Whirl.......
And so on. Or maybe the 'boardwalkish' comment also has something to do with the name.
According to the National Weather Service Doppler radar as of 3:15 PM today looks like the (storm) is getting closer so the rain should increase tonight and continue to tomorrow.

This would be a perfect ride for them and a way to squeeze in an inversion or maybe two. A customized version would fit nicely, or extend over a larger area.
Not the reason behind it, you'll have to wait until opening to find out (No idea if half of what I wrote has any typos, seems this ad placement covers half of my reply...
Oh, so new configuration then?
Wasn't there a rumor that they were thinking of a B&M for that spot and possibly travel over the boardwalk some?
You know there is another coaster that was recently removed that could fit there.
I guess that makes sense, the current staircase is worn, the wood has seen better days. Maybe they had to replace it because of safety concearns due to its condition. Eh, whatever.
