  1. I only saw the train at the end of the launch track. Of course, the rumors in line had the train shooting off the track. I was lucky enough to ride it 2 days before, though.
  2. ^ That about sums it up. I was at the park the day it happened.
  3. I'll ride junior coasters, but no kiddie coasters.
  4. As of now, this is my list. April: PKD Carowinds June: SFA SF Gr. Adv. Clementon Hershey Park Knoebels SFNE Lake Compounce Aug.: SFMW PGA Sept.: BGW Of course, it's not set in stone. Hopefully, there will be add-ons.
  5. ^I agree, I really do like the color scheme. BTW, thanks for the pics.
  6. Highlights: No lines for Tremors and Timber Terror at Silverwood in July. No line for Thunderhead at Dollywood in October. Between the three, I got in around 30 rides.
  7. Every park should have a log flume and rapids ride.
  8. I voted for El Toro, since I'll be riding it in June. Unfortunately, I have to wait till May 2007 to ride Voyage.
  9. It's certainly not short. It all depends on what angle the photo is taken. Due to the steepness, some photos give the illusion of the lift hill being short.
  10. I started reading this thread at the beginning. I wanted to see how long it took before someone said "nothing". I was shocked that it took till page 2, but wasn't shocked that it was Robb that said it.
  11. I only started counting coaster credits in 2004, and the first coaster was alpengeist. alpengeist + 2004 = alpengeist04
  12. The steep angle is what probably makes it look short.
  13. Be careful, not all of those parks are open on weekdays in May. Make sure you check operating hours for each park before planning. You will be OK with CP, but I don't know about the others. June shouldn't be a problem, if you decide to go then.
  14. That view will look alot different next year. RT has also been painted and looks a lot better.
  15. ^ yes, I believe the station is still back there. They just don't acknowledge Drachen Fire.
  16. Most of the tips for PKD have been mentioned, so I'll only talk about BGW. The first thing to remember is that the park opens sections at different times. England, Ireland, France and parts of Germany open with the park at 10 am, with Italy opening at 10:30 and the other part of Germany(BBW) opening at 11:00. I would bypass Lochness and head to Ireland. (Lochness will have it's longest line in the morning) Go through Ireland toward France and make a left to the bridge. Walk under Alpengeist and make a left toward Oktoberfest. You will see Darkkastle, ride that first. You should be able to ride it twice with no wait. (as long as it's open on time ) Then back track and ride Alpengeist. If you want, hit the log Flume in France as you are right there.(You just have to go back over the bridge and make a left) I know it's alot of back and forth, but it should be 11:00 by now. Head back past Darkkastle and turn left, you will see BBW down a little ways to your right. Try and ride this early because it usually has the second longest line in the park. Then head over the river toward Italy and ride Apollo's Chariot. This is the quickest moving line, so even if the line looks semi-long, it moves quick. The rapids ride is right there, so you can ride that if you want. Now keep going in the counter clockwise direction toward Pompeii, then after that Lochness. If everything goes right, you should be able to hit every major ride by 1 pm. I've used this combo many times this year with much success. Of course, this is only a suggestion and not set in stone. Enjoy, it's really a good park.
  17. I'm a big fan of IOA/USF, so I say go there.
  18. A gay cowboy themed coaster. Maybe, PGA will be the park to get that. BTW, the Dukes of Hazzard ride is not a bad idea. I like it better than the Italian Job theme.
  19. Hey GAcoaster, Was construction delayed at all with the snow? Thanks.
  20. ^ I noticed that too. :? I believe they mentioned 181 feet in the official announcement and now they keep mentioning 188 feet. I'm not sure which number is correct.
  21. That'll be Elissa in 50 years. She'll be doing Expedition GeForce.
  22. I have 3 parks that are about 2.5 to 3 hours from me. Busch Gardens Williamsburg: most would say Apollo's Chariot Kings Dominion: most would say Volcano-The Blast Coaster Carowinds: most would say Top Gun-The Jet Coaster
  23. I know, the BGW scheduling is a pain. I went 4 times this year and each time, Italy (Apollo) opened around 30 mins. later and Germany (BBW) an hour later. I do have to say that each time I went Darkastle and Alpengeist were open 10 mins after the park opened, so by the time I walked back there I was able to walk right on.
