I KNEW IT! I should have posted that sooner, I figured it out a few minutes before I guessed, but wasn't sure until the post about the Skycoaster. -

So I guess it's only a matter of time before single day tickets hit $100. -
^No park short of Cedar Point (which has its own police force) would have had enough security hired for as many people that were in the park that day. I assure you that they regularly have enough security staffed and that it's a safe place to enjoy a day at the park 99% of the time. I know it's very typical of the American public to place the blame on the park for not having enough security, but why don't we place the blame on the jackasses that started all the fights in the first place? If the youth of Bessemer actually knew how to act and were raised properly, none of that would have ever happened.

If the leaked layout is the true layout, this will have exactly zero inversions. -
Phantom's Revenge is a spectacular ride now. I don't know what it was like as Steel Phantom (never rode it), but I don't imagine it was that pleasant. I guess if you want to count 305, you can. It's been #2 on my steel list from day 1, and that never changed (even after the trims were added). New Texas Giant obviously looks a lot better than when it was a sh*t fest the last time I rode it in 2009. Can't think of a "worst" refurb. I mean, SOB sucked after it reopened in 2007, but I never rode it with the loop. I imagine it couldn't have been much better or worse.

Cedar Point (CP) Discussion Thread

^Possibly. I honestly never stepped foot in there the two years I worked there. I know they were built in 1905, but they're ugly, dirty, don't have air conditioning, and take up a decent amount of real estate. I'm sure nobody would complain. Plus, the fact that Breakers was a national landmark didn't stop them from ripping out most of the wings of the hotel and replacing them with the newer facilities. Times change, they need to change with them sometimes. -

They could honestly rip out the Cedars Dorms and reconfigure Perimeter Road, then they would have ample more room there. -

I can tell you that 232 had a tad bit of rattle on occasion last year, but Diamondback's was worse its opening year when I rode it. -
Nitro vs AC
Skycoastin Steve replied to CoasterT98's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
^The trims typically have to do with stress on the train and track. If it's pulling too many negative g's, it can really put a lot of stress on the wheel assemblies and track. B&M is pretty obsessive with controlling the speed of their hypers. -

^To set your mind at ease, it's literally 100% impossible to fall out of a B&M hyper seat. The lapbars have to go down 3 clicks, and when they do, even the tiniest, skinniest person cannot get out of them. As an example, at Carowinds last year, a girl on my crew who weighed maybe 110 pounds and was about 5'3" got in the test seat in front of Intimidator. We put the lapbar down 3 clicks, and even though she had TONS of room between the lapbar and her thighs, she couldn't get out of the seat no matter how hard she tried. You would literally have to bend your legs backwards (like a bird) to get out of the seat. So next time you get on a B&M hyper, just think of that and you'll feel much better.
