  1. ^"Bukkake. Bukkake."
  2. ^Last year my friend smacked her head into my shoulder on Voyage and had a bruise on her temple. It happens. Not everyone knows how to lean into turns like enthusiasts.
  3. ^Not true at all. Next time somebody says that poke them in the eyes. Ok, kidding about the eye poking. But it's not true. Don't ever believe silly rumors like that.
  4. ^Phone to the face at 70 mph can't feel too good. The jackass that threw the change up on Magnum got about 145 pieces of my mind as we were pulling into the station. He's lucky I didn't catch the quarter and peg him between the eyes with it.
  5. ^Agreed on the loose articles. If you've ever been hit in the face with a quarter on the back stretch of Magnum, you'll understand why.
  6. ^Which is why America is laaaaammmmmeeeeeeeeeeee when it comes to coasters.
  7. I just watched the Danish curling team, and I'm now in the process of moving to Denmark and picking up the sport of handled rock sliding.
  8. ^That would be great if the restraints on I305 and Maverick were T-bars, but they aren't. I'd imagine guests of larger sizes could fit just fine with those "pull down" lap bars without adding the shoulder straps. Which makes it a mystery why they don't just have those types of lap bars from now on. I honestly don't care either way, I can fit in the restraints regardless despite being 6'5. The only ones that give me trouble are Arrow and Vekoma OTSRs because I swear they designed them for dwarfs and children.
  9. I'm waiting to see someone go all out and wear a nightgown on an airplane.
  10. I guess I'm failing to see how more restrictive OTSRs could accommodate larger riders better than just a lap bar. And I would think that OTSRs keep the body more upright, therefore reducing the effect of laterals. I sure know that if Maverick didn't have OTSRs then you would be thrown side to side like a rag doll during the quick turns at the beginning and then again at the end of the launch and in the Stengel dive, cause you get thrown pretty hard into those restraints.
  11. How about thinking of it this way: If they just had lapbars, with the laterals that are going to be experienced in some of those turns, riders would be slamming into each other and possibly knocking heads and/or involuntarily smacking each other with their arms that are up. Then you would all be livid over how unsafe it was. Same thing goes with Maverick. Yep, the OTSRs on Maverick hurt your neck, but I bet slamming your head into the seat or another rider would feel a lot worse. And if these are cloth straps, I highly doubt they'll be THAT uncomfortable.
  12. Wow, that's unfortunate. Shades of Idora Park!
  13. Well alright then. But either way, it's still a pretty inane thing to complain about.
  14. ^I'm not entirely sure, but I know they have a massive pump area around behind Thunder Canyon near Perimeter Road. Obviously the rides aren't all powered by one pump, but they can centralize the piping and waterworks by having all the water rides in one area of the park. Plus, just the way the layout is there, the "watery" type rides fit in better back there. I mean, would Snake River Falls really fit well on the Dragster or Wicked Twister midways? Could you put Thunder Canyon next to Gemini in the parking lot? It just goes back to enthusiasts (on this site especially) finding any reason, no matter how trivial or silly, to complain about Cedar Point. The way people talk about it on here, you would think it was a cross between Six Flags America and a toxic waste dump.
  15. I wonder if people in LA still wonder if the Raiders and Rams play there, too.
  16. ^And I only have to assume that there are advertisements for the park both in print and on TV, and probably even some on the radio?
  17. I've seen some of the drivel coming from our Comrades concerning Lysacek's victory. Classy stuff right there.
  18. That's why you drag the seeker to the very end to see what happens. Anyway this thread just got awesome with references to Sam Cassell. Truth be told, I did skip most of the video, but "I want my 3 minutes and several mouse clicks and slides on the time bar back" didn't have the same ring to it.
  19. ^^Really? Pardon my East Coast Bias and misinformed-ness on this one, but has SFMM ever come close to shutting down? Or are those people just that dense?
  20. ^Coaster enthusiasts??? COMPLAIN?!?!?!! No way!!!!!
  21. ^An 80+ foot drop on a log flume is relatively "beastly" I would think. I'm not sure what the world's tallest is, but most of them aren't that tall.
  22. ^^Yep, because it makes sense. All the water rides can feed off a central pump area rather than having a ton of separate ones throughout the park. And if people want to go from one water ride to the next they don't have to walk halfway around the 2 mile midway to do it. Then they can dry off right there and be on with their business. Sometimes I SWEAR people just fabricate things to bitch about with CP.
  23. at the MULTIPLE comments asking if it was at the Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, as if there was one elsewhere. Not to mention that they are actually posting on the facebook page of the park that is IN Valencia. Oh, the GP.......
  24. ^Sure.......that's one theory........
  25. ^I would make the trip to Russia just to see that in person!
