What is the coolest coaster name?
BEAMER3K replied to Hilltopper39's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Tatsu mythical Japanese dragon (Kanji)... and Ninja...no matter how hard he tries, he cannot slay the dragon. The beast owns the mountain!!! -
Be forewarned: if you choose to use this option, you are parking on private property and can have your car towed. I won't be driving to SFMM. EDIT: (For a first time SFMM guest): Can someone please show on the SFMM parkmap the Revo shortcut's exact location? Draw a line please? So I know exactly where it is when I run for Tatsu in the morning?

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?
BEAMER3K replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Raging Bull a year ago... -
Thanks... on a side note it seems that the roads around the park, particularly The Old Road and MM parkway don't have that many sidewalks around them. At SFGAm both Grand Ave. and Six Flags parkway have sidewalks for the guests who choose to walk into the park and not drive or worry about parking. SFMM is not like that?

PTR: SFGAm 6/3/09
BEAMER3K replied to supercellcoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Fantastic TR man!!! I have a pic just like that one! But the one I have has a empty train in it!!! http://www.sfgamworld.com/forum/gallery/image.php?album_id=9&image_id=204 Hosted by SFGAm World! -
Hey Robb, maybe you should sticky this thread? It'd be easier to find... On a side note, what is up with that mound of dirt sitting in front of the park? I'm taking about the one at the corner of MM parkway & The Old Road. I know this has been talked about before, I'm just really lazy and I don't feel like searching 700+ pages of this thread.

B&M Giga coasters???
BEAMER3K replied to BEAMER3K's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
B&M's latest creations are not weak. Coasters like Diamond Back, Goliath (SFOG), and Tatsu have all been VERY successful. -
B&M Giga coasters???

I wouldn't call TWO new B&M's a conspiracy...I'd call it a mystery. -
B&M Giga coasters???
BEAMER3K replied to BEAMER3K's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's an idea I've always liked for solving the problem of getting high enough for a large drop without all the problems of a launch or a really long lift hill - build at the top of a hill. The question is which parks have an large empty hill and plenty of space around it? And second, do they have a coaster that's over 200ft.??? Does Carowinds have a large area with a large hill in it? -
B&M Giga coasters???
BEAMER3K replied to BEAMER3K's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Interesting...would B&M consider building a ride that has a 240-255 ft. lift standing on a large hill, with a drop into either a tunnel that goes 50ft. underground or into perhaps a deep ravine that will make up a 300ft. drop? They won't build up to 300ft. with a lift hill, but if the drop was larger then the lift hill? -
B&M Giga coasters???
BEAMER3K replied to BEAMER3K's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
So your saying that Cedar Fair approached B&M to build what would become Millennium Force and B&M refused? -
Sounds like a very fun 3 week trip!!! Don't forget to check the weather for when you're visiting major parks. Epically for Cedar Point, you don't want it to rain when your there!!!

B&M Giga coasters???
BEAMER3K replied to BEAMER3K's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
LOL, junior B&M hypers!?!?! I don't think such a thing exists!!! It's either below the hyper status or it's over it!!! That's like saying Intamin is building a mini giga, WTF!? -
B&M Giga coasters???
BEAMER3K replied to BEAMER3K's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Now that's a peculiar figure to throw out there... what else do you know? Well, I know that B&M have some mysterious yellow track at their plant in Ohio, and some mystery supports have shown up at King's Dominion. Now, I doubt that KD would be getting a B&M coaster, but you never know!? B&M are up to something... -
I recorded the Tatsu Mega-Builders documentary a few years ago. It was at a time I thought that my cable had been cut off (because I stopped paying my high Cable bills). Luckily, I had found out that it hadn't been cut off yet!!! I turned on my TV at like 6 or 7 am. I put on the Science Channel, and I found out that the Mega Builders Tatsu episode was NEXT!!! I quickly grabbed a tape and stuck it in, I hit record just as the show was starting!!! I'm glad I got it!!!

Any idea on how much a SF ride operator would make? I ask because I just applied for a Ride Attendant/ Op job at Six Flags Great America.

My first looper was The Demon at Six Flags Great America. I was like 12 years old. I was slightly afraid of it, well in actuality I was very afraid, since it was my first coaster that was 100ft!!! Then came Shockwave like a few hours later, and that was 170ft, with seven inversions!!! It wasn't so much the loops that bothered me, but the height. I found out I liked going higher, the first drop wasn't so bad. However it gave me quite a headache!!! I loved Shockwave!!! I rode it as much as I could before it's demise at the end of 2002.

What is your local park?
BEAMER3K replied to robbalvey's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I live in the midwest, Chicago, IL. My home park is SFGAm (Six Flags Great America) about an hour away.
