Tatsu has a really long line for some reason early in the morning. Being that so many people gravitate toward X, I guess after they ride that, they just move counterclockwise in the direction of Tatsu. I went on a Sunday, back in August, and I got to the park before it opened and went to Terminator and Deja Vu. Of course, this is out of your question, but after riding both Terminator and Deja Vu, I went back to Tatsu and found around 90 minute waiting time for it (according to the sign). Since you're arriving late, just go right....

Haha I agree with a lot of people's reasonings for riding where they do. I think it is best to ride Batman in the front, but I never have, only because I don't think it is worth waiting an additional couple of trains. So I usually take whatever has no one waiting in the particular row queue. I like Riddlers at the front for similar reasons. I like to see what is ahead, rather than the seats in front of me. Unlike Batman, I have rode in the front multiple times though . For Tatsu, I like the back because it feels like you get pulled more especially during the first drop. So it feels a lot more intense for me. I have rode both the back and front. B&M is right that it doesn't really matter as far as seeing things are concerned because everyone is looking down; but the only reason I have a preference for the back is because of what I previous mentioned. Goliath - the back is good because you get pulled down the drop and the helix seems a lot more intense. However, at the front, it is nice to see the drop that's ahead of you while waiting for the back of the train to finish coming up the chain lift before you proceed forward, etc. Haha.

@ Eric: thanks for clearing that up about the fog. I swear I had no idea when people would make reference to the fog, mist, whatever. Hopefully we hear about the plans for the upcoming ride soon. I can't wait. Anyways, just to encourage some discussion... What section do you guys prefer on rides, or does it vary from ride to ride? You know, the back, front, etc? Everything varies for me. I think the back on Tatsu is the best. The front on Viper is the worst. For Goliath, I like the front for some reason that defies the logic for liking the back for Tatsu. Haha . For Deja Vu, I think the back is the best. I merely like Deja Vu for its initial drop. For X I've never sat in the front or back, primarily just sat in the middle section of the train. Is there any difference in experiences in being in the first, front row of the train for something like X2?

I apologize for asking, but what is this? Also people are lucky when they ride X2 and get the flames....I 've rode it 3 times (as X2 anyway) and only 1 time has the flames worked on my particular train. No biggie though. Is this essential to your experience? Really? Yeah...that's what it used to be painted. I love this part of the ride. I really think it depends on what part of the train you're seated. The first 2 rides on X2 and I've been flung like a doll near the end...though the last ride I had on it, I didn't get this surprise. Fortunately. I hate that feeling of your legs being flung against the train.

I really don't care for the ads. I don't even notice them when I'm riding; only when I'm in the line for X2. Anyways, it's kind of moot for you to say that making decisions as said is one of the alternatives Six Flags has instead of rising prices of admission, food, etc....it's not even an alternative to those things. I think it would be pretty stupid for Six Flags to raise those prices as that won't get them the revenue that they need. It would probably decrease revenue and hurt them even more if they decide on doing that plan. For one though, it depends on the elasticity of their demand for people to visit the park or willingness to buy the food at the prices as they are. Chances are, in opposition of what you said, I don't think it would come from a price admission hike or food hike, as explained above, even if they didn't do what they're doing now with this intrusive advertisement campaign.

^^ No way..... Goliath is the best ride in this park..... I understand that's your opinion, and you're entitled to it though. I'm just shocked. Never heard negative comments about Goliath. Though I think ZeroG001 should know that there's a lot more rides than X2 and Tatsu and an underrated Viper and Riddlers that he should have some expectations for that exceed the broad term of "blah". @ ZeroG001 : Regardless of what people say, you should consider and look forward to riding more of what he have here like Goliath, X2, Terminator, Batman, Riddlers, Viper, and Deja Vu.

Well, I just can't wait until they announce something. Hopefully what is to be revealed will be right around the corner. Something big will really get me pumped up. But regardless of what we get, I don't think I'll be too disappointed... at least we get this attention for new rides and attractions unlike other places like SF America. But hearing the things I'm hearing from you guys above, I hope they do go BIG, Goliath-BIG personally ( ). I don't know if that is the right direction for the park, however. That's disputable.

^ Yeah, there's a good possibility that it'll be crowded. I'd head to Deja Vu and Terminator first to start the day. Then work you way down to Riddler's, Batman, Scream, Goliath, and any of the other rides in between. Leave X2 and Tatsu for later in the day, evening. Get there early, before the park opens if you're serious about enjoying what we got here to offer. -
Does anyone here work at Magic Mountain? I'm thinking about applying for a job next semester (in the Spring --during school) and the Summer months as well)) just to make some cash to pay off student loans that I'll be incurring this academic year of school + I could use the work experience (I've never had a job before). Not too sure how things work, but if I can't get a job on campus at my school, I'm going to try to get something going with SFMM. I wouldn't mind doing something in the station (ride operator or whatever). But I won't be too picky.... just as long as I'm out of the sun haha. Question: Is it a good time to start applying now if said is the case? Or should I wait on it a little more? Also, I'm guessing there's probably some priority as to where they'd put ya for rides--- right?

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Revolution at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Stupid. -
LOL @ people talking about Scream... Damn we really are some greedy bastards. All these roller coasters and we're talking about how bad Scream is, when if it was in another park, people would be drooling over it haha. I don't like Scream a lot. I like Riddler's more. But I don't mind Scream!. It's tradition to ride everything in the park, every visit, and I try to get 1 in on it every time. I rode it 3x straight once and nearly got a headache so I don't think it's good to do that. I won't ride it if it has a line. When I went last Thursday, August 6, after being amazed at how long of a line Goliath had accumulated around 7 PM, my group and I headed for Scream! and the line was amazingly pathetic (at least 30 minutes maybe) . Crazy to waste time in that line.

I don't know what it was, but it was really long later in the day when I went on Thursday. I was going to ride Goliath as the last ride to end the day (it's a tradition) and the line was at least an hour/hour 30 wait. I was shocked when I saw that line. I couldn't believe it. This was around 7 PM. I had to turn away.
