^ Let's just go off what we want to be. If if I want to be 6"6", well then damn it I'll be 6"6".
-
I realized today I'm shorter then I thought I was. 6"2, maybe 6"3 with shoes. And to think for years I thought I was 6"4.

Mean Streak 4 train operations
Carnage replied to Carnage's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Did they add a train at some point then? I'm postive that I can remember 4 trains on one time, and can definetly remember a blue train. Though granted this was a long time ago, and my memories could be fuzzy. This was definetly not in it's opening year, as I don't think I rode it until 1-2 years after that. Though there's always the possibility of one of the 3 trains being painted blue at some point. Though I'm positive I remember counting 4 trains at once at soem point in MS's history. This has bugged me for so long. -
So is that some old school WWII advertising in the background? I noticed that when the pics first came up, but was too shocked to mention it.

Mean Streak 4 train operations
Carnage replied to Carnage's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Mean Streak was more trimmed to keep it from tearing itself apart. It was becoming far too costly to repair. (> $250,000 per year). It was either let it run as it should(though rough and costly). Or slow it down making it smoother, boring, and cheaper. -

^ Or even costumed charachters getting a bit too freindly with the park guests. Wait, no, scratch that idea. -

Maybe a "behind the scenes" DVD should be in the works Robb? After the UK trip there might have to be. -
lol Have fun Bill. I would have considered going(the off season has been too long). However I've got a wedding to go to in the US next weekend. So I'm going to be working overtime as it is to get the friday off. I'm not working even more overtime just to get to a carnival for two hours.

^ Rogers Centre(skydome), from this tuesday to sunday I think. $20+ticketmaster fee. Though it doesn't look like there's a whole lot there. Nothing to get too excited about.

GOOD news from Texas!
Carnage replied to ParkTrips's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
That's great news, even though I'll probably enver ride either of them. There's too many roller coasters rotting in fields through out the US. Don't need to add to the pile. -
That goes without saying.

I'm not sure. All I could find so far is this:

^ that carnival is in Toronto all next week. I've been to it when I was a kid. I seem to rememer my father losign about $10 worth of change on the zipper.

Weirdest Things The 'GP' Have Said
Carnage replied to maliboomer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I doubt that. I don't see people lining up for hours to ride an SLC over the B&M. That's the point though. Us enthusiasts aren't the one affecting what's good and what's not. When I go to Cedar Point with my GP freinds we only ride Mean Streak once. They don't want to re-ride it. Not because I told them what was wrong with it, but because it just sucks. -
Mean Streak 4 train operations

So maybe I'm not crazy. Though it barely needs 3 trains now. -
Ok, this came back to mind when I commented in one of pkdcoaster's videos way back. Basically I can vividly rememer in the first couple seasons Mean Streak @ Cedar Point running 4 trains. Red,Yello,Green, and Blue(the train that I think was removed). At least I "think" I remember this. I might just be crazy. Can anyone prove if it ran 4 trains or not? Considering this was like 15 years ago I'm really not sure if it did or not. No one else I've talked to has ever mentioned that they remember it doing so. I'm just super curious if it did or not.

Trying to trump the mini-UK TR. We'd need to see your past work before auditioning for the new stuff.

I'm speachless. So many carastic comments I could make, but I have no idea which one's to use. Better call in sick to work.

Nice! You would have gotten even more style points if you used the flappy head Canadian body.

^ Probably the first time I've heard "woody" and "sturdier" used together. I would definetly do something like that, however I'm sure it would scare the crap out of me. I'm fine with heights as long as I'm strapped into something. Standing at the edge of a cliff or something is what tends to freak me out.
