I have been following this project as much as I can and haven't seen any of this. Now considering this was originally filed back in 2002, I wonder if the advancement of a KUKA based ride system drastically changed the outline of the attraction since the filing. Could this be a different ride altogether? Whatever the case may be look at all those effects, I can't wait to find out more !!!!

Themeparkman's Summer 2009 TR's!
HatetoFLY replied to themeparkman25's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
Great photo's, I really would love to get out to the MOA and VF. Just curious how do the new half pipes vary from the older ones ie.. new ride programs or different trains? Oh and I only count 5 cans in the picture, where the heck is number six? Edit: Scratch that I got six -
Most Intense B&M!
HatetoFLY replied to Beate's Freak's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I'm going to say the most intense B&M would be Montu before all the trims or even now a days when they barely touch. All around best invert I have been on and one hell of a coaster. Also I have to agree with those who think Manta because that pretzel loop is by far the most intense element I have ever been on as well, but the rest of the ride is relatively tame. So I give the nod to Montu. -
Dive Machines? What are your thoughts?
HatetoFLY replied to downunder's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Wow, we must have different definitions of airtime. I rode in all three rows on Griffon and got massive air in all, with the most when sitting in the back of course. I have rode sheikra in all three rows and probably every seat on the train. While the third row gives the best air, every seat on that coaster gives better air on the first drop than 95% of all the coasters out there. -
Here is the link, I never finished the SFOG part of the trip report. But oh well no big deal, like I said we had an awesome time. I have to say I am jealous of all the TPR trips besides Japan, Scandinavia would be my top pick. Thats just to cool, well welcome back to boring normal life http://themeparkreview.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=50916

Best Re-ride Roller Coasters
HatetoFLY replied to AviatorCoaster's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
I think Sheikra is about the most re ride able coaster I have ever been on. I also could ride Apollos chariot, Nitro, or Goliath at SFOG over and over again. I couldn't do the mega loopers, flyers, or wooden coasters over and over, its just to much for me. -
We had a blast, it was very peaceful and just relaxing to get away for a couple of days. Dollywood was terrific, gatlinburg was great, and all the food was superb. We hit six flags over Georgia on the way home as planned and it was OK, besides the terribly slow operations. Highlights of the trip were our cabin, which was so awesome,Thunderhead is my new number one wooden coaster, and the bear scaring the crap out of me to investigate my garbage at 2 am. The only downside of the trip was gas prices going up about twenty five to thirty cents a gallon about 10 days before we left. Oh and Goliath also jumped into my top ten steel list. Thanks for asking!!! There is a photo TR around here somewhere if you want to see some more pics. Thanks for reading.

Update June 22, 2009 Today they started testing at about 5:40 and over about and hour I saw it run five times. Its running full speed up the lift until it gets to the top, then they were slowing it down to check the under carriage at the peak of the lift. I have been following construction since it started going vertical and today I finally got to see it test. Its extremely quiet and seems very smooth. Can't wait to ride it. Were not the only ones ready for it open.(All employee's) Finally Universal, I only weigh 250 pounds and its only 5000 degrees out ALMOST!!!! YESSSSS My favorite shot. And no rings sorry frodo Thanks for reading!!!

What is the coolest coaster name?
HatetoFLY replied to Hilltopper39's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
Agreed, it just doesn't get better than Kumba (roar in Swahili) or even Sheikra (diving hawk). -
The worst line I have ever waited in would have to be Kingda Ka in August of 05. We waited for about 90 minutes in the scorching heat. Then the ride went down, and I have a general rule which is to wait it out. But since I'm from Florida and it was my first and only time since then I waited it out for another 15 minutes. The ride ended up being down for roughly 4-5 hours. I was in the loading station for Superman looked up and saw Kingda Ka making runs. We ran over and waited another 90-120 minutes for 16 seconds of bliss. Just to share though, the longest line I have ever waited in was the opening of Test Track. I was in line and then it went down. We were escorted out of the building past the old GM sponsorship sign and waited. I talked with another family and some other folks for over 4 hours. The cast members played trivia with us and just as Illuminations started we were able to ride. Now that's guest relations, they easily could of just sent the 200-300 people waiting home but they opened it, and it remains one of my favorite Disney attractions.

^^^That's awesome! I just saw the hangover yesterday and the movie was hilarious. Easily the funniest movie I have seen in the theater in years. The ending with the photos was a great way to end the movie. I saw Terminator Salvation and Night at the Museum last week and they were ok. The special effects were awesome though especially for Terminator!!! A reborn terminator was a little late though. Its hard to give new life to a franchise when the third one murdered it and through the body into a wood chipper. As far as Night at the Museum is concerned I thought it was just as good as the first but was just missing something. I think I was just expecting to much out of it, and I hate when I do that.

I got 168 on the first try and 199 on the second. The citywalk question got me both time

The Jacksonville jaguar cheerleaders are scheduled to make an appearance and be among the first riders of the coaster next weekend. Only reason I know the jag cheerleaders are making an appearance is due to family ties. I still don't believe it, but its happening. ^Agreed, glad to see them mixing it up.

Dollywood Thrills in the Hills 5/22-5/23 2009
HatetoFLY replied to coasterbear30's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
^^ One of the best on ride photo's I have seen And Thunderhead is truly an awesome coaster, glad you had a great time and great pictures. -
Really? Last time we were at Islands of Adventure operations were terrible. Hulk and Dragons were just abysmal. But that doesn't stop me from going back... --Robb I have not had problems with Hulk ever but for the last couple of months Dragon ops especially in the morning are terrrrible. All I'm saying is that when I was there the operations sucked. Most of the coasters were dispatching so slow, we stood at papa johns maybe five minutes before asked if we could be helped cause they were chatting with their friends. It wasn't just one employee it was several throughout the day that just depleted from the experience and it pissed me off. After visiting Dollywood just days before where people had character and I felt welcome and then going to the wal-mart of parks. Welcome to Six Flags ride our rides and GET OUT!
