This year at WCB I was the only rider on the first boat on Perilous Plunge, I have ridden Xcelerator solo, my first visit to Cedar Point in 2007 I was the only rider on Raptor on Sunday morning during passholder early opening ride time, Grizzly(CGA) at the end of Haunt one night and numerous other rides...

Robb, is there a thread where I can find all your 'rants'? Because even when I think these same things, I never let them out... As much as I like Disneyland and California Adventure, I just wonder here and there what took them so long. And the attitudes of some of the people in the happiest place on earth get on my nerves (those I have left anyway).

What Was The Last Coaster You Rode?

Top Deck Flight Gun at CGA on the 15th (and probably again tomorrow)! -
As much as I would hate to admit it to my friends, riding the coasters is never the highlight for me at any event I have gone to with TPR. It is more about the one-of-a-kind experiences they open you up to. And this last update just shows you how true that can be. Robb, i'm with you on more free swag! Leaving the bay area at about 1pm on Friday, see you all there!

Guys, I believe having already seen this discussed earlier in this thread that they are referring to the Coaster Solace event and not WCB. Everything will go as planned and announced. (now crossing fingers) And skaunit: i'm in the bay area and going down to Valencia on Friday too, but i'm thinking i want to get there a little earlier than that...

I'm hoping I wasn't one who was termed a complainer... I had a blast on the whole trip! And other than a poor choice in judgement on my part on a certain Frisbee at the bonus park, this was an exceptional day! If you didn't ride the Boomerang, you missed out on one of the great coaster views of the whole trip. And as I told Robb, all things aside (and most things were very spinny for me at that point so I can't remeber much), my personal number 300 coaster-wise was the mine train rollerskater that night. I may not have been perfect after my previously mentioned mistake, but I wasn't going to pass up the chance! And that's what it is all about right? Taking advantage of the opportunities presented to you? Sign me up for next year's trips!

Photo TR: Expedition Europe!!

Great pictures Davon! I keep hoping for a good one of me And the ladies that went on I-Speed with us had to apparently suffer for their front seat rides (remember the one getting off and having to hold on to one of the rails at the ride exit because she was feeling not well?) See you on another trip! -
I would not expect the woodie to show up before 2011 at the very least. It was mentioned the park would be getting a new flat for 2010 (I can't really say who said it). The woodie has been approved across the board; they are just trying to find the funds. (Build it then figure out how to keep it quiet enough to appease the neighbors).

TPR's West Coast Trip 2009!
coasterobsessive replied to robbalvey's topic in Photo Trip Report Archive
That was one of the greatest days ever! Too bad i know how many q-bots there were but don't know how to email Dan. I was standing right there when they counted them. And it was a lot of fun hanging out with everyone! -
I know he was joking... I just think that shows you the level of commitment he has to the fans out there and the date they are sticking to. On another Terminator note, doesn't it seem like 16 passenger trains are kind of small? Is this something to do with the theming of the trains? Are they that much heavier? Most GCI coasters I have seen are 24 passenger.

Two things: Why is policies spelled that way on the flash pass sign? And for any of those who attended the second Terminator tour at WCB at 11:15, I asked Tim if everything would be in place (all theming rather than getting it in stages) when the ride was scheduled to open on May 21st, and Tim's response was "if it's not then you can ask my successor what happened." Tells you a lot about how serious they are on getting the thing up and running on time.
