I wonder if they'll keep it pure white? I kinda hope not - all-white rides just don't look right... -
What is your favorite GCI train design

I've yet to ride a GCI, but strictly in terms of looks, Troy wins hands down. -

SeaWorld Orlando (SWO) Discussion Thread

This is looking absolutely amazing. With the trees and everything going in, its looking more and more awesome each day. It's looking like the beach/ocean area is painted tan, and with the water (obviously) painted a deep blue. Are they going to put actual sand in the beach or leave it as the painted ground? -
Forgive me if it's already been answered, but exactly how do they perform an evac on a vertical lift? It seems extremely difficult to me, and a lot of things could potentially go wrong... The channel holding the track coming off the Drop Tuning is looking really nice. Much better now that they've started finishing it and getting rid of the rough sides. Should be really nice once its done.

And you never know. The Batavia plant could be fabricating a second set of track if Dreamworld is getting a B&M Flyer. That doesn't necessarily mean that the yellow track is going to Australia.

It really does look like a great ballpark. Given I'm from Columbus too, I'll probably, get to some of their games within the next few years. It should be a great place to watch a game - probably not unlike the Dayton Dragon's 5/3 Field.

^The splash pool won't have any observation area/wet zone. It's merely for aesthetic purposes. But I think its something extremely unique, and great for the park. Sure, it's not really anything to necessarily write home about, but it'll be cool to see, especially in a few years when the area around the pool has had a chance to develop. I think its a great idea. And about the queue not being large enough... There really doesn't need to be that much of a queue area for the ride. Given that we're looking at it from a webcam on the Eiffel Tower, it's more than likely a larger concrete pad than it looks. Plus the overflow will help on busy days. But given that this is a B&M, it should be a people-eater. There are no seatbelts to check, so I don't see it taking really all that long to dispatch each train. I see the line moving at a fairly constant pace. It wouldn't surprise me if they need to set up temporary queues for the first few months, but I don't see the line taking all that long. -
Gravity Group Announces "Timberliner" Trains

Well, given that GAdv.'s El Toro (I love that we have to specify which one now ) is only 19 feet away from being a hyperwoodie, I have a feeling Intamin could pull off one quite easily. I have a good feeling about these trains. I'd be willing to bet that HW's weather is about the same as it is here in Dayton - mid- to low-40s. Given the coolness and the length of the train, I (as someone pointed out before) have a feeling it was running slow there. And it was still going freakishly fast! Once it warms up and a full-length train (which I'd be willing to bet it around 12-cars long), I can see some massive airtime with these. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. And I'm sure the completed ones will look better with the outer shell and everything. I'm really wondering what ride will be the first. I wonder if HW will consider purchasing one? Also, will GG sell the train to any buyers, unlike GCI? If so, I can see some crappy woodies (SoB and Mean Streak, I'm looking at you guys) getting a hell of a lot better. -
That Pujols commercial is awesome. I really love those Sportcenter commercials.

I decided to try the new Sam Adams Blackberry Witbier brew. I wasn't sure how I'd like it, since I don't necessarily like blackberries. However, I was pleasantly surprised. It doesn't have a strong blackberry taste - more like a subtle hint of it. It's actually quite good, and maybe one of my new favorite beers. Definitely different, and definitely delicious.

Really? I never did ride it with the old skid brakes, but from what I've heard, the skids trimmed it just as much, if not more, than the magnetic trims do now. Have I been lied to?!? -

^^It's not. At least not in the Tomb Raider sense. Will they add theming eventually? Possibly. But it's not going to be the same theme as it was when it opened. EDIT - double arrow. -

Awesome pics. Again. And once again, your captions are full of WIN. That pizza looks absolutely orgasmic. Both times I went to Chi-Town we missed Gino's - it's on the list of things to do next time I make the trip.
