  1. Got a massive toxic chemical spill? Call 867-5309 for help!
  2. OK, now I'm confused. Does this mean the yellow one will be a floorless instead of a stand-up? Or was the floorless a different coaster than that yellow one?
  3. I voted for #4, because I think the borders around the letters makes it the easiest to read, and the shadow behind the type adds some depth to it. But in all honesty, I think either #3 or #4 would fit great, and I'd be happy with either.
  4. I was in Atlanta a few weeks back and got my first taste of Sweetwater. All I can say is I need to find a place that sells it in Ohio.
  5. My Best Theory -- Jimmy Eat World
  6. LaRosa's tastes like pizza toppings spread on cardboard. I really don't get the hype about it.
  7. ^Umm, yeah, let's just not bring up that @$$-whopping they put on the CBJ, mmk? I like to remember the better parts of this season.
  8. ^It's a fantastic album, but I must say it's better live. Animate -- RUSH
  9. Wow, really nice. Makes me want to bust out NL again and see what I can whip up, but I'm just turrible at it. But I really like the layout, it looks fantastic.
  10. ^Umm, I'm pretty sure this isn't meant to be used to list every single song you're listening too at every single moment. On that note, Bloodbuzz Ohio -- The National
  11. It didn't look like Troy was open in the snow, right? Regardless, riding that stuff in the snow would be epic. I do wish other parks opened in the winter, even if it was just for limited days and/or hours. It would be something different to experience.
  12. This. Is. Awesome! Pardon me while I change my pants... ... ... I didn't realize how much the first drop changed. I know they were making it steeper, but I guess I didn't realize it was that much steeper (or rather, I didn't realize how lame the old first drop was).
  13. SoB is about as boring as coaster layouts get. Sure, it has speed and height, but nothing else going for it. It was an experience when it had the loop, but it's just nothing special now. I can't imagine that an RM treatment would do much for it in the long run. Go to the other side of the park, though, and I think that The Beast would benefit immensely from it. As good as it is now, getting it to run smoother, faster, and cheaper (maintenance-cost-wise) would be awesome. Night rides on that thing would be even better with the topper track, and they could probably even remove the trims. Think of how fast that would be running without trims... And I can only imagine how far up the second lift it would get before it slowed to chain speed.
  14. If the football team is looking for the auto-bid, its a good move. But I can't really see them getting any more respect as part of the BE as they do now, beating up the likes of Cincy, Louisville, Pitt, Rutgers, and USF in football. It would've made more sense for them to push for the Big XII or something, where they would still have a shot for an auto-bid while still playing against good competition in all of their sports. This move really just seems like greed for the benefit of the football team and the football team only. Which isn't fair to the rest of the sports they field.
  15. ^And it seems like all they are doing it for is the football automatic bid - which, with the way Big East football is headed, they'll likely get every year. I almost feel bad for their other sports tat are being dragged into this for the football money - when was the last time TCU basketball was legit? They are going to get murdered year after year by the BE basketball schools, and they'll have to travel halfway across the country to finish near the bottom of the conference. Not very attractive, if I was any TCU sport besides football.
  16. GLT is seriously a bunch of paranoids. Just going through that website beings a whole lot of good laughs about their "facts" that the GL debacle was an inside job. It kinda makes me sick to know I live in the same state as them.
  17. A friend of mine was in town last week and brought me a case of Yeungling, which isn't sold in Ohio. It's a travesty, really, since its a really good beer and they would get a lot of my money if they decided to expand and sell it here.
  18. [mini-rant] How difficult is it to figure out what a no-left-turn sign means?!? [/mini-rant]
  19. Afraid of Everyone -- The National
  20. Columbus has been playing really well lately. Easily the best they have in a long, long time. I like the energy they have on the ice, and how they can shake off bad nights and come out the next game and look completely refreshed. Plus, a West Coast Sweep (sorry Kings, sorry Ducks, sorry Sharks) - the first in team history - isn't anything to blow off. We generally play like crap on the West Coast, so to get three great wins in 4 nights is a huge boost to the team.
  21. The one thing I'm not too sure about at all is the stability of the ride itself. It seems like adding all this extra weight of the track, plus the force of having the trains running on it, would put a lot of stress on the wood supports. We all know that wood isn't unbreakable, and looking at SoB, it can always break at the worst possible time. Its not that I'm thinking that the track will drop if something does break, as the steel I-beams likely wouldn't flex as much as a wood track, but if it does happen, it can't be a good thing. It's just that there's a lot of weight being added to the structure, and the force of the trains will just add to the wear and tear of the ride's structure - especially in the overbanked turns, since it doesn't seem like they've added a lot of lateral support where there's going to the a hell of a lot of lateral force being generated.

  23. Caravan -- RUSH
  24. "Suddenly, you were gone, from all the lives you left your mark upon." A sad, sad day in the industry.
