I didn't realize they still had the SoB station still up. I wonder if they'll use that for anything in the future? Maybe part of Banshee's queue? -

Could be a batwing, could be an invert's version of a pretzel loop, could be something entirely new. As long as it uses the crazy terrain they have at their disposal out there, I'm happy. -

I'm sure I'm late to the party, but two-toned track is sexy beyond comparison. -

If that's the case, they'll probably simply grade it off to ground level and pave over the rest of it, leaving it underground and out of the way. -

I suppose its possible, but with WindSeeker out there right now, I don't know if they really need an observation tower immediately. Besides, I haven't heard of any being installed recently - they do still make them, right? -
Whelp, audios to the season, and to the All-Star Game here in Columbus. Greedy owners...

This just in - the owners are all dopes, and being led around by the King of Dopes, Gary Bettman.

^And given the fact that the windows have become so discolored over the years, I'm sure they're some sort of synthetic polymer. They'd also have to be break resistant to be installed on a ride that tall. -

^I love how the winner in nearly every "matchup" is simply whichever ride is taller, faster, and/or newer. Doesn't seem like a very well-researched article (though he at least get some credit for knowing the manufacturers by name). -

^Except that a lot of the rides still run with (mostly) friction brakes. I get the reasoning behind the rain policy - it doesn't mean I completely agree with it, but I understand it. -

Turning Racer back to forwards on both sides was (as is my understanding) done at the recommendation of PTC, not necessarily the park's sole decision. -

Went to the park today, and I have a few observations to share. Last time I was at KI, almost 3 years ago now, I was too fat for Diamondback, so today was the first time I've ridden it. For me, its definitely the best ride in the park, with Beast still a close second. However, it's really a shame that it's developed that much of a rattle in only 3 years. It's not bad enough to take away from the awesomeness, but it's definitely noticeable, especially coming out of the hammerhead. The Beast seems to be running better this year than it has in the past. Don't get me wrong, it'll still throw you around, but it seems to be better than I remember. Windseeker it really a great ride. It's not particularly intense, but it's a lot of fun. Invertigo looks great with the new paint. It'd just a shame it still rides like a Vekoma, though... -
Are we still trying to argue that Maverick is rough/painful? If you want rough, go next door and ride mean Streak at closing time with about 3 other people on the train with you. That's rough. Maverick is hardly that. Is it intense? Sure. Can it be painful? I guess... But rough?? No way. You just have to loosen up and ride with the coaster. If you try to ride Maverick (or any other coaster, for that matter) tensed up and stiff as a board, it's going to kick your ass. But loosen up and go with the flow, and you'll be perfectly fine.
