I agree with legendarymatthew, a great majority of recent music is so generic. I do like recent Hardcore music though. Any kind of dance, R&B, or rap is a non-favorite of mine.

I got some new bands that are pretty brutal. Here's some: Fear my Thoughts The Showdown Destroy the Runner Immortal Souls Search the City Children 18:3 Chiodos Band of Horses Red ^the bottom two are more like power pop than hardcore.

I think swine flu is WAY overrated. More people die every year from regular flu than from swine flu (or so I have been told).

I just started my STAR testing. I have no idea what "STAR" stands for. I did my math one today and my language arts one is tomorrow. I hate testing but we get free Subway on Friday! There's something to look forward to.

I think of punk as this: fast drums with choppy vocals, and death metal as slow, sludgy guitars with low screaming. I don't know, but, that's how I would describe those genres.
