1. That is a great idea! I always wonder why parks just don't create lines that you can not enter from anywhere but the main entrance/line skipper entrance to it. The 'normal' metal lines allow you to jump over them, through them, and does not stop people from sitting/climbing on them. I love the parks that have gardens/bush's around the lines but this does not stop people from walking over it - have seen this at many parks. This does make me about the Fast Lane though... sometimes its a separate entrance from the main line. How do they get the ticket numbers in order that way?
2. You think the upper management team is really going to tell the lower level associates what is going on? That would be silly - it would definitely out there. Side note - this park has one of the worst antique car set ups. I love this park partly because its my home park but they could easily spruce up the cars area.
3. I honestly think its because they don't need to use the 4 stations anymore. I haven't seen the line get much longer then about 1.5 hours but then again I only get up there about 1-2 times a year. When it first opened and the line was 3+ hours long they did use all four. Its the same thing with Batwing at SFA. It has two stations but both are barely used anymore. The line just doesn't get long enough to justify hiring the extra staff.
4. When I was there I had no issue finding the Motocoaster at all. I thought the paths were pretty clear. I thought it looked nice back there behind motocoaster. The food was definitely good back there.
5. Making my first trip to the past this summer a week from today... are there any major rides down right now? Debating getting a Flash Pass... gonna wait to see if the lines are long. I've never been here during the week in the summer before.
6. Not sure what LARP means but this seems like an awesome addition. It sounds very escape room/survivor based with the physical challenges.
7. ^ I personally do not think its about attendance as much as just keeping the park relevant.
8. This. Eventually I could see them either building another coaster between Ka and El Toro, or a line of flats that build up a possible expansion behind the tower... I second this. There is so much land there to develop.
9. I agree about the carousel. But I am someone who feels every park should have a grand carousel. Also, I do not think this is in the front of the park by any means. Its off to the side in between the antique cars and looney turnes land. You almost miss it walking right by the swings, which is another ride that needs an over haul. The weird machine noises it makes sometimes is not pretty for the first ride you encounter. before deciding to go left or right.
10. I will be at the park on 8/30. Seems perfect to be at the park the day they are releasing whats new. I have no hopes to give up because this park doesn't get any of my hopes anymore. Anyway... in reality anything they do will be a good thing for the park. I just like that Six Flags Corporate has been showing more and more interest in the park as of lately. Even though I enjoy that the past has been focused on the water park more, I am ready for the dry side to get more love. They did a decent job with the Mardi Gras section, even though I would have liked to see more New Orleans themed buildings since to me the architecture is a huge part of New Orleans.
11. This is definitely one of my fave SLC's. Its a tie right now with the one at Morey's since that one has the new trains/restraints too. I wish both La Ronde and Darien Lake would get them. I like how their SLC's go over the water.
12. I definitely prefer Cedar Fair teasers to Six Flags, they are more thought out in my opinion. I won't speculate about what they are doing since I have only been here once. I do wonder if they will built anything huge since they just opened Steel Vengence for this year. I do not know how old the aerial image/view is of this park but I see where the Shoot the Rapids was. I remember riding this right before it closed and it was in a decently sized area. The area just seems closed off the park from the view I see. Could this be used eventually again?
13. This park can actually get super crowded during their Halloween event. Agreed. We went a few years ago and the place was packed. When I went 3 or 4 years ago the lines for all of the coasters were about 30 minutes. That is pretty packed for Dorny. The mouse was an hour. Also, all of the haunts were at an hour+ wait as well.
14. This park can actually get super crowded during their Halloween event. Assigning rows at Dorney??? I've been there a LOT and I have yet to see them do that, even on crowded days. That's certainly odd for sure! I feel like I have experienced here myself years ago.
15. Right? Everyones salivating over this supposed giga coming to BGW and I'm over here like
16. I can see your point. But than again everyone's definition of a classic feel is different. My favorite part is where a majority of the flats are... music express, apollo, tilt a whirl, games, etc... I love all of the lights at night. Honestly, clean is all that matters to me and this park always hits that on the head. Possessed is one of the reason's I like this park so much because there are not many of that type of coaster around. Plus, any coaster that takes me backwards wins in my book. Demon Drop for the win too. Way better then their S&S tower. I find S&S towers the most boring drop rides and always skip them.
17. I'm With You - Avril Lavigne Loving this 2000's pop station on Amazon Prime music. Brings back the high school memories!
18. You all are right... that was silly for me to say. Now, if we were saturated with screaming swings I would be in heaven. One of my top 10 favorite flat rides.
19. The part where they mentioned we'll have 'deja vu' is sticking with me still. I know last year they had terrible teasers for Wahoo River and we can only dream of what it could be. Perhaps though, whatever the ride is we are getting will use a name that we had in the past since they already own the rights to it and won't have to pay the money to register it again.
20. ^ I actually really like Dorney. it may be small and not have the biggest baddest rides around but they good care of that park. For me, it still has that classic park feel and has a good amount of awesome flats. Plus, they have a awesome attached water park that is actually quite large.
21. The nerd in me wonders how large these frisbees can actually get. I wonder what the "cap" is before the wear and tear on the motor and structure is too much. I wonder the same thing too! As a side note... as much as I enjoy the giant frisbees/giant discoveries they are starting to pop up everywhere and we are starting to get way saturated with them in my opinion.
22. I totally agree. I would rather go to KD too, but SFA is only 50 min away versus KD being well over 2 hours away. It would be nice to have a park that close to me have some nicer rides. Do I have fun when I go to SFA, yes I do. But with any park I go too much and am starting to get bored. I have only went once this year and even then only stayed a few hours. BG I could do without. I get bored there fast. Even though its one of the most beautiful parks in the country with a decent coaster collection I still get bored. The only stand out there to me is Alphengiest. The rest I can take or leave.
