  1. Thanks for the report! Hope you guys had a great time despite.... China.
  2. I have to agree with those who say that Holiday World is the friendliest of parks. A spectacular place with a great collection of rides. Looking forward to going back.
  3. I had my first visit to BGT last week as well, and loved it. Cheetah Hunt was surprisingly fun. Falcon's Fury does indeed promote pants-crapping. Montu might be my new #1 invert. Beautiful park, great rides. Also good beer and pretzels
  4. 1. How do you most often watch videos? (DVD, Blu-Ray, Digital Download, Streaming.) Streaming 2. What streaming services do you use the most? Amazon Prime 3. How many DVDs or Blu-Rays do you buy a year on average? Only TPR material (I still like having the collections) 4. Do you use a device like Apple TV, Roku, or Chromecast? Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV 5. How much do you watch videos on YouTube versus all the mediums listed in the poll? 50/50 streaming vs. quick YouTube Videos
  5. This is one of those things I could see being scrapped before it ever gets started... For those of you who live there, does it fill a void in the market? Does anyone need a single huge (weird) rollercoaster near a shopping area?
  6. All those I-beams will provide some really good head choppers, though. (Not literally, of course)... really looking forward to it.
  7. There were storms in the area last night- I wonder if it got zapped?
  8. Why do they need to re-machine the supports? Purely a guess -- they took those supports for the inversion down - so my guess is that something was wrong about them -- wondered if anyone had the real story. Hey! My uneducated guess is simply that the supports were in the way of lift construction and they were removed as a precaution. They were removed the morning that the highest points were being installed, when all tall cranes were crammed into the base of the lift/drop/stall area. There is probably nothing wrong with them and they will be reattached as soon as the lift work is finished. Seems very logical to me, Goooooooooose

  10. The lift is looking good. Did anyone hear any details on the inversion under the lift? I'm assuming they're re-machining the supports for that part?
  11. Hanno, those are awesome pictures. Thanks very much for falling on your sword and riding today for us I know it was a challenge.
  12. Thanks Hanno - looks like a great new ride. Although I will miss super gerbil. Wait. No I won't. It was awful
  13. They confirmed in the most recent Insider video that there will be a single rider queue.
  14. This is my favorite Steel Coaster Moment Of All Time
  15. Work going on in all three major areas today - lift hill, dive loop, turnaround:
  16. That looks fantastic. And while I love the music, it sounds like "I'm a Flintstones Kid!"
  17. So I'm at home today and on Vicodin because of a root canal. I'm sure that I will think that this was just a weird narcotic-induced hallucination. But it looked like a lot of fun
  18. While Six Flags is well within their right to do what they've done and I want people to have personal accountability, it would have made good business sense to refund the guy's money. The press this will generate will hurt them to a greater extent than a refund to the occasional dissatisfied customer would. By all means they should not have let him ride if it isn't safe.
