Disneyland Paris (DLP) Discussion Thread
BDG replied to SharkTums's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The main problem with WDS right now is its size. It currently attracts 5 million visitors, which is pretty impressive for a park literally a quarter the size of a Magic Kingdom. Some of you compare the park with DCA... but at least DCA is huge and gorgeous. It's bigger than Disneyland, with many paths and tons of scenery. None of that exists at WDS. When you enter the park, you can take 2 steps left or 3 steps right. That's it. See below. (green = land for WDS expansion) -

New B&M trains on Steel Dragon
BDG replied to Trevor's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
B&M would have to design completely new trains for those, as they use a different track type. -

The park has now confirmed on their Facebook and Twitter pages that a Mack ride is coming in 2016. translation: "It's official! There's a new ride coming in 2016! The ride will be built by the German company Mack Rides. What kind of coaster would you like to see?" . -

BDG replied to Noobitizer's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
2015 news Bobbejaanland is getting a ride similar to MoviePark's "immersive tunnel" ride, now with a jungle theme. Dutch PR: Quick translation: - new ride is unique in the park - guests didn't want a new coaster - 5 million euro - 1,500 square meter - working titles are "Mystery Mines" and "Forbidden Caves" - guests take a jeep safari... and end up in "an underground world with caves and mines guarded by exotic monsters" -

Russia to build Vekoma GIB in Sochi
BDG replied to Gutterflower's topic in Theme Parks, Roller Coasters, & Donkeys!
The tower opened September 18. Found a decent video that gives you a good view of the ring-seating: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1A0nappHhTY The Mack mouse has been open for a while... The only rides not yet open are the GIB (was scheduled to open Sep 30, but it will likely be early October) and the Mack LSM ("November"). Earlier this month the GIB was doing test-runs: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yjFI4eaaT90 But what is this, a 4th coaster? It's called Drifter (Дрифтер) and it's... weird. It sort of resembles a Disk-O, but with a complete track... so not a shuttle. Also, it looks like the car doesn't fully spin, it only "drifts" (hence the name). Anyone know who made this contraption? -
