  1. I know that this isn't pertaining to what is coming to Hershey in 2015 (I bet the house on a dark ride or family coaster). But if the Boardwalk ever expands more, I always saw an Aquatrax fitting into Hershey perfectly.
  2. I bought my season pass and headed over to the park for the first time of the season yesterday. The park was pretty filled due to many highschool spring breaks. I was still able get rides on Nitro twice in the front, Bizzaro front of the train, Batman front of the train, Skull Mountain and Green Lantern. Green Lantern had diffculties as our train entered the station, which caused us to be stuck on the break run for about 20 min. I have to say, Nitros trims were barely on yesterday, trains were flying over those hills, amazing experience.
  3. Not exactly my reasoning for why this move makes...little sense...but close. The park would not have done this without Behemoth's great success. I really am lost on the park management here. They have a theme park with a buffet of mediocre rollercoasters, but a good park in most every other facet. Regardless, the park is extremely popular with this setup. They decide adding the park's signature major rollercoaster attraction is a good move, and surprise, the park becomes even more popular now that they have given it a flagship ride. Who didn't see that one coming? So they immediately make the decision to spend the same amount again for the EXACT same ride type, but bigger and faster (and shorter), and fully undermine the role of the coaster they have just added as their signature ride? Really? That's where they went with this? Could have broken the world record for most inversions (can you imagine how much better that would go over in marketing efforts?)...could have changed the ride style more than "ooh look a speedy low ground hill" to differentiate the rides for the consumer...could have had the foresight to plan Behemoth to be higher/longer in the first place, but they went with this choice. I don't buy for a moment that the GP won't be confused by the two similar rides. And I know how uninformed the GP can be. This ride better do something that the POV doesn't show or they will definitely wonder why neither ride has loops and why they feel exactly the same. The impact a 300 foot monster coaster SHOULD have will just not be felt. Disclaimer: This ride is a top twenty coaster. That is clear. It will be a fantastic ride. But it is not different from Behemoth at all. I could not agree more with this post. You hit the nail on the head. No doubt in my mind that this will be a world class top 20 coaster. The park management really does have me scratching my head on this one though. CW is filled with mediocre coasters with inversions, I thought that a great Invert or Floorless would have fit better here.
  4. I have this feeling in the back of my mind that Skyrush is shaping up to be "The Coaster" of 2012. Ignore the hype thats going on in CW right now.
  5. I'm curious to see how this B&M Giga will ride. Sometimes less is more, it could not be what we expect. After all this is a new concept for B&M.
  6. The big man on campus Kingda ka.
  7. I think its awesome that B&M has finally decided to dive into the world of Giga coasters. As far as Canada's Wonderland and CF's decision making goes....WHAT THE HELL were they thinking? I don't understand having both Behemoth and this coaster in the same park. If i'm part of the GP whats going on in my mind is "Why ride Behemoth when I can ride the bigger, badder version on the other side of the park?"
  8. It was a very unique ride, I got to ride it last year and can say I enjoyed it very much, sad to see it go. Hopefully a much needed new coaster will take it's place.
  9. I visited the park for the first time this season on Wenesday, it was fairly crowded with a lot of School trips. We hit Green Lantern first, it had about an hour wait. First off they really need some more cover from the sun in that line cause your really in the parking lot an it can be brutal. Overall I thought the ride was just ok, I still give Bizzaro the nod over it. As for El Toro, its been running better then ever, yes it is a bit rough in the back but im not complaining. I had a overall decent day an got on every major coaster once. The operations were sketchy though with a bunch of breakdowns. As a season pass holder I'll see things improve over the course of the season.
  10. Personally for me, a good wooden coaster includes lots of airtime in the first half of the ride with plenty of twisty parts toward the end. A good example of this would be El Toro.
  11. Why the hell would they add a Dive Machine when they have a coaster that drops steeper then 90 degrees already? Has anybody thought of that. My gut feeling is that if this is going to be a Intamin creation it will be a Mega-Lite or if it turns out to be a B&M a Jr. Hyper......Both with respectable amounts of airtime of course.
  12. Im just making a outlandish speculation right now, but from the questions they asked....Could they be considering to build a Aquatrax?
  13. My idea for a name: "Run Cheetah! Run! (Or else those poachers are gonna getcha)
  14. The color of the coaster is no factor to me, yes a nice color scheme is nice but as far as i'm concerned, who cares what the color scheme is as long as it provides a kick ass ride.
  15. I doubt it, I think the capacity of a Euro-Fighter would be a nightmare for Magic Mountain.
  16. Hilarious. I said this meaning that it maybe could be incorporated as some sort of theme. I could see Busch releasing a statement saying "The initial launch of the ride will be 75 mph, just like running the speed of a real cheetah while it chases down it's prey.
  17. I was thinking about the launch speed...I think it will be anywhere between 70-75 mph since that is the real speed of a cheetah.
  18. From the looks of the video, I can feel that this ride is going to be something special. Since Busch always tends to go with B&M I don't expect for Intamin to let them down.
  19. Fear not guys, knowing Busch they will put Big Bad Wolf's former ravine into good use.
  20. Really? I'd rather have a gorilla whack me in the head with a 2x4 than GASM. I'm not a big fan of stand-up coasters myself, but if this is as good as Riddler's Revenge at SFMM, it's OK by me. EDIT: But I wouldn't want the gorilla to whack me in the head with GASM. What can I say? Im a sucker for Arrow Loopers.
  21. ^ Yes. They could make this new coaster seriously badass, like Mel Gibson's performance in Brave Heart.
  22. I think that the drop tower was a much needed "big flat". As for the coaster, I am super excited to see what they do with it. I would love for a drop over the Rhine River to be incorporated somehow.
  23. Guys it will happen eventually after all "Life finds a way". And as long as we can have the being chased by a T-Rex in the jeep experience i'm there.
